Get to play whack-a-mole with Road Pig at Target.com again.  None of the Targets near me even have any action figures on their shelves right now.  Hope I can spend my money on something (other than books, movies and music) this week.

@theknightdamien just straight up acetone. I took off the belly tat, the one on his right forearm, and the one on his left bicep. They all cleaned off pretty easily.

I hit some bad luck with the dog. He had a knee joint that just wouldn’t budge no matter how much heat I applied to it. It would wiggle, so I knew it wasn’t like totally jammed up, but it wouldn’t actually rotate. After an hour the peg finally broke, so I took a knife to open up the joint and see the issue and the disc on the joint wasn’t a full circle. Like putting a square tire on a car and expecting it to drive.

Contacted Hasbro to see what solution they’d offer me, but if that doesn’t work I’ll just buy another from Target and return this one.

That's always my worry with a two-pack or animal-buddy set - having one have dud joints and needing a whole new set. Hope Hasbro comes through for ya with a replacement. That would drive me NUTS.

Definitely see how the tattoos can be divisive in terms of taste. I Think the thing that I both appreciate about them but also gives me uncanny valley vibes is aside from Raptor, the tattoos feel VERY realistic to me, just not always who the figure intends to portray. Jinx looks eerily like an art student/bartender I play D&D with, complete with the flower sleeve ink and short hair. Road Pig has "I played college football and never succeeded with life after that so I joined a biker gang" vibes and even the belly tattoo slots right into that - Pig just LOOKS like a guy who makes bad tattoo decisions. (In all seriousness, he reminds me of a combination of two of my cousins.) Clutch reminds me of the best man in my brother's wedding, ex-service who got a bunch of flash ink. Wave 1 Roadblock's tat, I swear I've seen it on a guy who looks a lot like the figure. Even Rock n' Roll reminds me of friends who have good taste in ink but didn't plan their stuff out so they've got like, a traffic jam of great art all over their bodies that has no cohesive style.

I just find it funny because usually with toys at this scale they look like tattoos by people who have never met a person with tattoos. Then again, I'm biased. I've got enough ink that people have referred to me as "heavily tattooed" but compared to people I know I feel like I'm a lightweight. (I'm somewhere in the double digits but still have plenty of blank space.)

The only one who's tats irk me is Torch.  No problem the flame idea, but I've never seen anyone with a single-colored (besides black) tattoo in person and it just looks weird to me.  I've been debating removing his.

Road Pig showed up as in stock for me on The Target app last night. I suspect it is because 2 of my local Targets seems to have them in stock so probably pulling from local stock. Cancelled my Amazon order since Target has the Circle deal going which basically knocks off $10 plus the 5% red card discount.

Again with the tattoo hate? Why? The dreadnoks were turned into a biker gang last I checked. Makes perfect sense to me for them to have ink. I'm still waiting for the yakuza storm shadow we were shown first.

Same here. Kinda funny how some of the 'updates' weren't things I was into, but that Storm Shadow design was something I was really looking forward to. I would even take something close with different colors as another character if need be.

@unclassified Yeah. The online price is the sale price but I just call it clearance for some reason. The TF two packs in some of my Targets have reached half off.

Now I’m curious as to why you think the Tiger Paw will hit Ollie’s or Ross. It’s been my impression there was not enough to go around. It’s not in the same situation as the TF Ram or PP Trouble Bubble. I mean it’s still possible. Maybe a few Tiger Paws here and there but probably not in the big numbers where it will reach many Ross stores like Tomax and Xamot were.

it's a distribution issue. I woke up this morning and checked my app and it was in stock out of no where in Tom's river nj. I went there, there were 5 or so. I grabbed one, another dude was like that set in cool. I said grab one. They are 38.49 and if you're a member you spend 40 get 10 or spend 75 get 20 off. So he went and got one. I left the rest. They were in stock all day til I got out of work and they were sold out. So someone in Tom's river nj grabbed them all. South Plainfield nj also had a delivery and Oxford Valley PA. Those 3 cities got deliver. If these don't end up making it out, they will end up at the half off store and there's only 3 or ross. I doubt t ollies , but maybe. I just got maximum carnage for 15 and it was just hitting targets that week and was hit and miss at stores. That figure is rare right now due to distribution.  He will most likely be found at Ross in a few months. Ross gets target stuff that didn't sell past clearance and stuff that sits stuck in warehouses. But, if these just randomly showing up now, then Maybe they won't hit Ross. I regret not getting more, I got that and the 2 pack for 60 flat.

I noticed a city in jersey had one pop up in the app. Might run out there tomorrow to get it.

Hey guys I'm new to the forum and wanted to ask some questions.  I just got an doc figure from Walmart and it has the cobra island road block in it. Has anyone else have that happen?

@docsilence I'm absolutely not going to argue that the tattoos on the figures are being poorly done. They look terrific. 100%   My issue, again, is largely one of overdesign on the overall figure. Someone like Rock N Roll doesn't have a lot going on - his design is very basic in outline and detail. So adding some tattoos on his arms amplifies and works with the design. Whereas, in my opinion only, guys like Road Pig or Raptor that have really unique and busy designs already, with lots to take in and look at, are actively made worse by adding more extraneous detail that, while it may make sense thematically, is just too much visually.

But they're still 100% being accomplished well, barring issues with how they fit in to the design of each figure. I believe I even remarked here when I first got Rock N' Roll about how great his tattoos looked and how well-realized they were for a small action figure.

@canprime  Not to overstate the point, but again I want to make sure it's clear that, at least for me, it's not a complaint about characters having tattoos or which tattoos are necessarily even appropriate to which characters. It's purely a 'does this work as a toy design on my shelf' question. On my shelf, from 10-15 feet away or whatever, I think Road Pig's tat makes his design too busy and crowded and the cool details of his costume and shit just get lost. I feel similarly about Raptor, where the tats distract from the other, way more interesting, elements of his design.
But I don't have any problem at all, in theory, with Joe characters having tattoos.

Yeah, it makes perfect sense. Never said it didn't. If you don't get the 'hate,' I dunno - go read the actual posts about it? Not in a rude or aggressive way, but it's been spelled out already, and I've repeated some of that here in this post for continued clarity. It has nothing to do with what is or is not -thematically appropriate-.

I agree with you, i like tatts on figures, Road pork looks good to me. i also like backward hats on figures but no one makes them.
