@unclassified while I respect your views, I too am a customizer, and super glue works wonders for me. Tightens loose joints, seals paint on some joints that will rub otherwise, seals paint on gun grips so that shit doesn't rub off, tightens the inside of lightsaber hilts if the blade is too thin or wobbly, and since it's glue, it glues things and holds most of them real well. I don't know what you've done with glue to ruin stuff, but I've fixed, tightened and otherwise modified a ton of different joints with super glue, and since I'm careful, I've never had a problem, and it almost always turns out the way I wanted it to. I can't say for 100% certain it worked on everything, cause nothing is perfect. But I don't remember the last time it didn't work for something similar to what he's describing. As I've never had the problem doc is, I also can't say for 100% certain it will fix it. But again, that's what I would absolutely try first, carefully. Hell I even use hot glue to fill in head holes to fit smaller ball joints. I use glue for alot. I can't not have glue at my workspace. It seems like what he needs is to tighten the hole or make the pegs bigger so they touch and have some friction. Basically the glue is just adding a layer to the outside or inside of whatever he's using it on. Nail polish works the same way, I just prefer glue. I recommended he do the inside of the arm hole, cause depending on the peg on the shoulder, and how thin it is, or what its made out of, the glue could harden it, make it less flexible, easier to snap off. But not every peg is the same, most of them are perfectly fine with a layer of glue on them. Some are even better. But there are a couple I would be hesitant to use it on, luckily I've never had to on those.
@mr-potatohead Torch is in stock on Walmart’s website too: https://www.walmart.com/ip/G-I-Joe-Classified-Series-123-Dreadnok-Torch-6-Action-Figure/5066049837
Hasbro announced that Starduster is the PulseCon exlcusive and will go up for sale on Friday at 5pm EST.
So be ready to order at 5 sharp (2pm for me) if you want a Starduster - or wait and see if the PulseCon exclusives hang around and get discounted later like some of the previous ones have.
I decided against backing the Rattler and canceled my order. I'm really running out of space when it comes to figures and especially vehicles. With all the McFarlane Batmobiles, the Ramen Racer, and next year the tanks and vans from Ramen Toy, I literally don't have any space. I'm glad to see all the tiers were unlocked though.
I know I'm getting a reputation for being totally cursed when it comes to Classified and today just adds to the fire in the dumbest way. I contacted Hasbro customer support about my broken Marauders Sarge. They say they'll send out a replacement free of charge. It's the whole "or something of equal value" rule, right? HE IS IN STOCK ON PULSE.
They sent me a FERRET. I have a Ferret. I love the Ferret! I have not space nor the need for a Ferret. Can't return it, it was free! Do I cave and buy another Sarge and resell the Ferret? I mean hilariously it had to be more expensive to ship this dang thing than just the single figure.
I really am snakebit on this line. If he weren't in stock I'd be like yeah, equal value but like: he's right there in the store. Are they trying to get rid of extra Ferrets? (EDIT: The funny thing is I like that there are women troopers for Cobra and wouldn't mind an extra, but I want to swap her head out with someone else and she's the only gray one. Wonder if there's a Marvel Legends head that would fit, like one of the SHIELD or Hydra agents...)
Do I cave and buy another Sarge and resell the Ferret?
No, you sell the Ferret and buy, like, 3-4 Slaughters. Sounds like they really did you a favor here.
I’d venture to say that is one problem most collectors wouldn’t mind.
@fletch HOLY COW, I thought the Ferret was still in stock everywhere and wasn't worth anything. Guess this baby's going on eBay or something. Might be the first time I got the "or greater" part of the "equal or greater value" option. I just assumed they were throwing away filler stock because they didn't want to bother sending the same item. (Last time I had to do this with Pulse they sent me a broken Iron Man.)
If I hadn't jumped on here to complain I would've cracked open the box and started trying different Legends heads on the scout.
@docsilence WOW congrats indeed. You definitely scored on this one considering the Ferret seems to be selling for over $100US on Ebay regularly (completed sales).
@panthercult Just an addition to your post. Premium members will get the usual hour head start on ordering. So if you are a Premium member you can order at 4pm ET.
I wonder how Starduster will do? I think he is popular enough to be in high demand, and Classified is still killing it these days. However is he popular enough to sell out quickly?
@canprime I once again owe these forums one for saving me from making an expensive mistake. I jumped right to "if they don't send you the right item, they send you whatever they have too much of" conclusion. I am really not someone who likes doing auctions but I might as well throw it up online. I just completely changed gears from 'how to I customize this' to 'how to I offload this.'
I got my order from Gridiron Studios. Umm... little overpriced, ngl, probably not worth the money. They're not bad swords and guns, but they feel a little cheap for how much I paid. Marauder has way better quality for cheaper. I didn't order any of the vehicle upgrades since I don't have them, but I can say the guns are slightly disappointing. Not only that, the Ninja Swords came with a backpack. And sticky tack to attach it, instead of a peg. So, thats something.
Dang, should I order a Slaughter and hope it comes messed up so I can get the Ferret? That's a sweet deal!
