I suppose they could even do a variation release/re-release by letting out the V.2 VAMP in the more desert kind of tan color with Clutch in matching repainted gear.
So, I think, depending on how well the first release of the VAMP sold - but it seems to have done well - that using the molds to release a repaint is a foregone conclusion. I'm not sure they will do a straight re-release in the exact same colors, at least not for awhile, but it seems like a repainted version would be an easy win for them.
If it were me in charge and I wanted to sell more I would put a different driver in the vehicle to make sure I attracted the people who already got the first version.... maybe Sandstorm if it's a beige repaint; or Night Fox
or do an updated version of this the VAMP MK-11 with repainted Flint
Also the voices and “persona” of many of them just grate on me; very much a “the loudest and crudest voices tend to get the most attention” kind of thing (“Shartimus”? Yuck city.) ...I really only “admire” fictional characters: real people are too disappointing and obviously self-interested.
I met Shartimus last week when he played drums with a jazz band in a joint concert with my sister's singing group. Insanely talented musician and a very nice guy. I get what you're saying about finding fictional characters admirable but often being disappointed with real people. For sure that happens. But careful that you don't hate some fictional idea of what someone is like when you don't know the real person.
social media is yucky. luckily it seems like there's a lot of adults who enjoy reviewing Joes on youtube not for the likes, but just for a hobby, because they enjoy it. and this particular forum is great. i would expect less from a GIJ toy forum, but it has gone really well. there's a lot more prickly, judgmental attitudes in just about every other toy fandom, be it Marvel, DC, TMNT, or Transformers. maybe we're just spoiled with great product, so we don't argue. lol.
I heard rumors that V4 Snake Eyes may be coming soon? Any truth to that rumor? Personally, I would have hoped V3 SE would arrive sooner than V4
@bat I hear you, but I’ve got no beef with the actual human since I don’t know said human at all. It’s the “online persona/celebrity” thing I want nothing to do with, and that goes for everyone, including folks whose artistic output I actually enjoy. And I totally understand that some folks want to “follow” an “influencer”, and while that is definitely not for me I absolutely respect their right to a different path: I just want the *option* to opt out and just get a dry, text description with pictures and ZERO “color commentary”. It’s just not for me.

Heheh go check out hisstank and you’ll see all kinds of nastiness and arguing and general redhat chicanery. This is a *much* calmer place in that regard, at least these days . . .
re: v4, v3 Snake-Eyes, evidently Lenny is a HUGE v4 fan and was fiddling with an old ARAH figure of same during a recent interview, and I believe an “insider” more-or-less confirmed v4 for 2025. That said: while I love v4, what I REALLY want is v3, but what I REALLY REALLY want is to finally, FINALLY get ONE DECENT FIGURE based on the v5/Ninja Force version, because we have literally never gotten that even with the original. And that design would *slay* in Classified.
So, basically: all the Snake-Eyeses, please.
fr, all the snake eyeses. it's such a shame the retro had a short run and was hard to buy, because even that simple toy is just about a perfect figure. i'll pop for a v4 for sure. would love to have a full (small) shelf full of vibrant neons. Neon Snake Eyes, Law, Incinerators, Eel, Eco Warrios, v2 Mindbender, v2 BeachHead....just to start. I'm glad Lenny digs them enough that we will likely get SE and Night Creeper Leader. I'm also wanting Ninja Force really badly. I have to imagine Slice and Dice are coming soon but I want them all! And redo Storm Shadow while you're at it.
I never saw Retro SnakeEyes or Retro Storm Shadow at any of the Walmarts I go too. Not even Retro Zartan. I’m pretty sure out of all the Walmart Retro, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, at least, should get reissued in the new and thicker cardback retros at some point. Maybe next year or in 2026.
I hope Hasbro considers re-releasing retro Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, and Zartan on the thicker card. I did get those figures and like them quite a bit. I hope for my fellow collectors who missed them. Wal-mart can be so frustrating at times. Bring on Retro Mindbender with cobra logo on soft goods and suspender straps, Stalker, Rock n Roll green version, Commander Hawk, Cobra Infantry, Serpentor with screaming head sculpt, and maybe a guy like retro Clutch for those that missed VAMP.
Thwipp!
I’m betting we see retro SE reissued . . . but maybe not in the same colors. They conspicuously did NOT make retro SE completely black (those dark green highlights on the gear are cool though) so they could do that, and/or Sunbow colors (dark navy uniform/purple accents/ungloved hands).
Love the talk about additional Snake Eyes versions. I swear there's like three characters I will buy EVERY version of in each line no matter what, and SE is one of them. I already have the Snake Eyes of my dreams (truly, the 001 figure was perfect to me, all I wanted was the Timbers that came later to complete him), but I've always loved V3 and V4, and I ended up liking Desert Snake Eyes so much I'll take a flyer on any variant they release at this point.
Sunbow SE would be so neat. I keep seeing the Super7 at the store and am tempted to buy it but you're right aceofknaves, it would be a perfect repaint of the Retro, to the point of being a no-brainer.
As for my personal favorite Classified SE, it's still the 00 Deluxe, followed closely by the Retro. 00 Deluxe with grey Timber just looks perfect to me. 01 and the release with white Timber are really nice, too. I gave Shockwave's shield to the version that came with grey Timber and it looks like a cool generic SWAT figure.
You all forgetting to give props to Fortnite Snake Eyes variant. The one with the non removable sidearm and knife? Because that is figure is…..well….never mind.

I never had any interest in Fortnite branded SE so I paid zero attention to any mention, but did they glue those pieces down? I thought he was just a slight repaint of one of the other 13 versions we got.
I have an odd question that I am hoping someone can answer for me. I'm wondering if someone can check to see if the 50 cal browning machine gun that comes with the 60th anniversary soldier might fit into the peg holes for Serpentor's Chariot. I purchased a chariot a while back on ebay and did not realize that it did not come with the machine guns, so I am hoping to be able to replace them with the browning. If not, I suppose there's always the 3d printing route. In any case, thank you for any help you can offer!
