I will 100% be removing the teardrop tattoo permanently, as well as gently removing & keeping but not displaying the backpack & thigh straps.
I'm perfectly fine with ninjas, some robots, and zombies, but hip-mounted rocket launchers & at least the JUMP-style of jet packs are just a little too cheesy for my liking, lol.
checked five video reviews of scarlett... not one attempted head swap... not to mention i couldn't find a duke review that showcased his upper torso articulation range... our classified reviewers are failing, honestly across the board some of the worst toy reviews are joe reviews /rant
Now, see, I was avoiding doing reviews of better known lines like Classified for fear of little to no views because of others doing them better, but now I'm tempted to do them to show those lackluster reviewers up, lol...
Scarlett hasn't moved for shipping for me either, but just based on all the pics I've seen, I legit like the first wave's head better, though I also think the one on the retro card looks more like a straight lift from how she looked originally. No complaints either way, I like both, but there's something unique about that Wave 1 head sculpt I really dig.
Yeah, I’ve always felt like that Wave 1 head sculpt has a lot more personality. People complain about how young she looks, but I like the idea of her being a younger, over-achieving member of the team.
Y'know, it hadn't occurred to me til you said it, but you're right, it is a much younger-looking face. But I also think Duke from Wave 1 looked pretty young, too. I think I saw them as a sort of modern/just starting out interpretation of the characters. It'll be kinda cool if the carded versions of both look more mature, so both sets stand apart in a distinct way.
Agreed, wave 1 Duke looks definitely has a younger look too. He’s different enough that I’ll be fine with keeping Tiger Force Duke up on the shelf along with the new retro version.
GameStop today shipped everyone from this gang of figures except Retro Duke and Quick Kick. They are scheduled for next week.

Yknow, once Hasbro gets around to doing V2 Storm Shadow, hopefully they include a maskless Tommy Arashikage head. Or put the maskless head with that Yakuza Storm Shadow design that’s seems to have been put on the back burner for awhile now. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a maskless Storm Shadow figure.
I picked up another Scrap Iron for $8 at Walmart. Too bad this wasn't an army builder pack because this Walmart had a row of him. I paid full price for two because Pulse shipped first and then I decided not to cancel on BBTS.

My wife thinks wave 1 Duke is good looking. So the next time you see fanboys writing about "attractive" female action figures, know that it's not JUST the guys.
Also, speaking of Duke, I just read Duke #4 from Image Comics yesterday. FYI, all three of the Image GI Joe titles, GI Joe ARAH, Duke, and Cobra Commander, are all really good right now. Duke is borrowing a lot from the Classified line with Major Bludd, Scrap Iron, and Rock & Roll looking almost exactly like the current figures. It's pretty good stuff.

Went to target found 2 dukes and a Redondo and didn't click my coupon in my circle. So now I habe to return them and hope to find Redondo duke and Scarlett.

I didn’t know about the coupon until a day after, but went in yesterday and they were super helpful. Even considering the fact that I had to go grab something else from toys since I was 3 cents short of $75 with just the retro figures.
I havent seen any of the more recent stuff on Target shelves around me. Mostly Python Patrol Copperhead, Vypra, and Trouble Bubble. The exception is Junkyard and Mutt, which have been there for a few weeks.
GameStop around me has Helix, the two dreadnoks, shockwave, and Shipwreck. Did catch a Nunchuck figure at a different gamestop last week though. He was initially not on my list, but I picked him up since I hadn’t bought a joe since before Christmas.
Great figure. Honestly once I get Leatherneck, I’m kinda excited for more ninjas than anything else.

Oh cool. I didn’t even realize those existed or completely forgot about them. However I still want an official Maskless Tommy for Classifieds.
I'll be waiting for Scarlett in-hand to judge her headsculpt/paint but based on pictures I've seen, I'm wary. She looks so great in the render but I'm not 100% on the final piece. Maybe repainting the lips will be the fix many of us are looking for; in the render they're very angular and sharp but in all the pictures I've seen so far the release has kind of blobby, rounded lips.
