Not at all, I agree. The updated homages of wave 1 were fine with me, and got even better as they went along. I had some issues with Roadblock's weapon, but Duke was just fine.
Duke arrived today from amazon unexpected and unannounced. Scarlett, who I ordered at the same time, stull says coming in May.

Nothing wrong with liking what you like. I would hang on to Duke for a while though just to see if you have any changes in your opinion over time.

That Roadblock tuning fork was the primary offender. Duke's was OK, but I like the spread that comes with the vintage carded figure better.
My wave 1 Duke is currently suspended from the ceiling with the backpack from Steel Brigade and a gun and helmet from I forget who. He looks pretty sweet like this, IMO. Right in front of my vintage Skystriker box (one of my favorite Joe pieces) and the Dawn Moreno (aka Snake Eyes II) statue I just got.

Metal Head was never a favorite of mine, but they did do a very good job on this figure. And the helmet was apparently done for trolling purposes which I take mischievous enjoyment from.
They really made this retro cards impossible to open without wrecking them.
Put me in the group that's perfectly fine with wave 1 Duke, especially if the retro Duke has the same ab joint as Hawk. I love Hawk, but that joint has zero movement.
Thank you Akatsuki. I haven’t seen many pics on IG lately. I’m sure you have got a few new fun figures in. I did see the Valiant knight. I missed out on that figure. Looks awesome. I bet once they get past these Wolverine anniversary packs and X-Men 97 we finally get to see those rumored retro Iron Man carded figures. Maybe before SDCC but definitely by then.
I have passed on many Four Horsemen opportunities lately due to Joe stuff. I still marvel on how fast this line has grown.

Spent a minute hemming and hawing over new Duke then I opened him. He's looking very nice next to the 80's Marvel team up we never got.

there's a videos of a rc 112 hiss on YouTube.Man... you got me excited thinking that thing was for 1/12 figures.... super bummed it's scaled for 1/18 stuff.
