This time last year I was ride or die for a HasLab Wolverine as my preferred Joe armor. Especially if they upscaled like they did the similarly-sized HISS.
But since I've already paid for my Ramen tank, any HasLab armor would have to be especially dazzling for me to buy in.
My wife. Did you buy the plane?
Me. Yeeah.
Wife. That’s about a $1000 for three things.
Me. Uh huh.
Wife. You only have one of them.
Me. Another is coming soon.
Wife. Hmmph
Me. I love you.
Wife. You’re making dinner tonight.
Me. Big smile and nods head.
Thwipp!
I will buy a rattler…but I’d rather have a night raven.
Hasbro. Please Do make a classified scaled sky striker. It WILL fund. They could kind of charge what they want for a decent sky striker.
…3…2…1
“that’s too big! I don’t have space and I can’t afford it so it shouldn’t be made!”
That's too big!! I don't have the space and I can't afford it so it shouldn't be made!!!! 😉
While I wouldn't say no to a Classified Skystriker or Night Raven. I don't know that I would necessarily want to back them if made. Mostly due to size and price.
Look at the Rattler and Dragonfly. Both are going to be pretty big footprints for display and the Skystriker and Night Raven are bigger by a significant margin. Whether that is length or overall dimensions. So space is a definite consideration. On top of that price is going to be a question. How much would a Skystriker, or Night Raven cost? The Rattler was $325 (before tax) so at least $350 for a Skystriker, and $400 for a Night Raven? That may be conservative. Once you start getting up to the $400(US) range it may start to be more of a gamble.
Of course so far it doesn't seem like Classified Haslabs are having any trouble backing so what do I know. At least I have the Haslab Skystriker so I don't necessarily need a Classified version if they ever decide to do one in the future.
I say go for it. I don't personally want a Classified Skystriker or Night Raven, but I'm also not that interested in an Ace or Strato-Viper, so I wouldn't be missing out on anything by giving them both a pass.
I'm starting to think that I might've crossed a line with my Joe vehicles, though. A HISS and Dragonfly make great centerpieces for each army and I prolly should've stopped there. But I *had* to get the Ramen Bridge Layer/Wolverine. And if that's facing off against the HISS, then I *had* to get the Rattler to balance out the Dragonfly. Those last too, though, really push the envelope of what I can make room for. I'll have to store entire shelves worth of figures from other lines I collect to make room for them.
Thinking about some of the large vehicles I have, you can say my big Millennium Falcon is literally a doorstop. It's been leaning upright against one of my doors since I got it way back on release.
But you paid money for it before you used it as a doorstop, right?
😀
if we can be sold a 7” scale thunder tank, tmnt party wagon, and the McFarlane animated Batwing, then a sky striker is doable.
You guys -know- you’ll make the space if they make a Skystriker!!
@swoop716 oh yeah, I remember one of the girls at Target wheeling it out of the backroom for me on a flatbed merchandise cart.
Over the years I've found the Skystriker, Night Raven, and Phantom somewhat easier to display and or store than the Rattler.
So what's the deal on the Dragonfly shipping? I see someone unboxing one on Youtube, another person in the comments says they have theirs and haven't opened. Another says his is tracking to deliver by the end of the week. Mine still says estimated shipping in December with no tracking.
What's going on with your Dragonfly?
Are those people outside the US?
Just got shipping notification as well. Now... where to PUT the bloody thing when it gets here...
Ooh, I got the email about an hour ago. The FedEx app has had it in the label created portion since 10/29. It's still not in their possession. Must be on the truck.
Now the long wait to reach the northeast and watching all the Californians post YouTube videos.
Eat Thanksgiving dinner at the dining room table? Oh, no, take a seat on the couch. There is no dining room table. There is only a landing pad for my G.I. Joe Classified Series Dragonfly XH-1.
