I agree. They will have to rethink patches in the future. I am intrigued and they are add ons to me as I feel the price is right for the Rattler. It’s trucking along at 17,000 plus now. I’m geeked. I’m excited! Now the long long long wait.

I would have liked to have seen them lean more into the battle damage. The one swapable panel isn’t enough. I would have liked to seen a damaged canopy too and maybe some wing panels. Make it look like it’s really being shot down. The patches are useless in that they haven’t provided us anything we’d need or want them for. As you said, the Ghostbusters cosplay items are a perfect item for that kind of tier. This needed something that directly interacts with the item be that another figure or items to enhance the item itself. 1:1 patches was a bad call and likely completely driven by cost. If three tiers weren’t in the budget at this price, that’s fine. Is what it is. I do like the idea of an art print though. Those are relatively cheap to include. I love the SDCC ones of Mindbender and Serpentor and would have loved one for Once a Man CoCo and Major Bludd.

Some of these are pretty funny, like the Bus Wars playing on a typo from Wild Weasels old file card. 

But what really catches my eye is the OG Red Shadows skulls. 

I just realized we never got a live stream or pre-recorded video after SDCC going into more detail of this Haslab. That seems like a huge oversight! Those vids/live streams do so much more to sell these than the standard marketing material and pictures. 

There was a pre-launch tease that mentioned Baroness nose art and I was very amused by the idea. Seeing it, though, it doesn't match my preconception of irreverent cheesecake nose art.

I'm tempted to make my own, but know I'll likely never actually follow through. 

I'm actually losing interest in the Rattler as a whole, though.  I'm not sure it's iconic or "necessary" enough to warrant the size in the same way the HISS and Dragonfly do.  I'll still keep my order in; worst case scenario I resell it later.  But now that I'm looking at trying to fit in this AND the Ramen tank, I'm questioning how much of my other collections will have to go into the store room to make space for them.

I know I'm gonna back this but I keep dragging my feet - I swear I'm mostly just debating which card to put it on for points. I know I gotta cut back on big items but I do want one air vehicle for Joes and Cobra. Weirdly, the fold-up wings is what makes this doable for me. I know I can cut down on shelf space temporarily if I need to (meanwhile the rotor on the Dragonfly is STRESSING ME OUT already for space.) 

The bar on the landing page is a little misleading - I was like "oh, they're not gonna make it to Baroness!" just looking at the yellow bar, but man, they're only 61 away! (60 if I get off my butt and commit tonight.)

Wow! Now that is a jump. So sometime in the next few hours the last tier (Baroness) should unlock and then the rest is gravy.

It’s time to get hype again! Baroness is a fantastic figure. This thing drawing to a close has me day dreaming hard about a Sky Striker. That comic panel of the two birds crossing paths and pilots saluting is so damn cool. I would totally recreate that in my Toy-splosion room. I know I can now with the 1:18 th vehicles I have. I may… But a Classified version would be quite the sculpture.

No need to wait, it's all good, but BADA-BOOM!!!!   The Baroness is unlocked.   Now all that is left is to wait and see where the final total lands.

18,270 right now so Baroness is unlocked! Woo! 20K+ seems doable now!

Yay!  Happy to breathe a sigh of relief and start getting excited for the Dragonfly to arrive!

I was gonna do it anyway, but knowing Baroness is unlocked got me to finally commit today. Took me a solid three minutes to figure out what I was missing to commit to backing it though - the UX on the new sight needs some help, I think. 

Baroness is the only part of this project that interests me. I just went to see how prices were on Glenda from the last one - but that one still isn't out? There is one Glenda pre-order in the $200s, but how much would y'all estimate a tier figure like Baroness is going to cost roughly on her own?

As Doctor Evil would say......."ONE MILLION DOLLARS!"

Honestly it is hard to say.   At bare minimum I think she'll be double a regular retail figure.   So $50US?   However she is, for all intents and purposes, a variant of Baroness while Glenda is a unique character with a good bit of love from the fandom (even though she is basically a repaint).   

So while her availability and popularity will help her price, I don't know if the demand will be as high when the average collector will already have a Baroness, unlike Glenda.

So she'll most likely fall within the $50US-$100US price range.

I’m more than certain in time this flight suit gets the blue and yellow color way on retro card with the rifle. I’m quite certain like Retro Coco the figure was designed for at least one repaint.

If it’s the sculpt you want but color isn’t having to be the black, you’ll have another non Haslab chance for Baroness. I’m certain Wild Bill and Wild Weasel also get a re-release most likely on Retro card back as long as Hasbro has confidence in that offering.
