Cobra Rattler:

15,263 / 9,000 (+61) 169.59% of funding goal with 8d 16h left.

Well here we are, just about a week left and still a good chunk of backers needed for the final tier (Baroness). I'm not worried though because it should easily get over 2,000 backers on the last day alone and the lead up days should also be a couple hundred at minimum.

I'm leaning toward sitting this one out.

Yeah, I was never really "in" for a few reasons but the sudden windfall from the Marauder Vietnam Kickstarter refund had me giving serious thought to putting some of the funds into this.

Then I see things that show off the Rattler's size and I just know I'm never going to be able to properly display it and like others have pointed out, it'll sit in a giant box in my basement for most of its time with me. (Move over Galactus/Sentinel!)

Even knowing that, it's still damn tempting. I always loved the Rattler.

Depending on what the wheelbase is, it should fit in the wings-up position on the top of my shelf. It and the Dragonfly (on top of the neighboring shelf) are for sure getting a safety line to make sure they don't fall off.

Let the race to the finish begin. Hopefully we will see nothing but triple digit daily gains for the rest of the week.

I open up youtube and see this. No, not Bobby Vala! They're going to break me, I know it.

So far so good with increasing triple digit daily gains for the last 3 days. Should pass 16,000 backers sometime today which will mean less than 2,000 backers needed to unlock Baroness. Which as I have said before will easily be hit on the last day alone.

@mrboshek I enjoy the WOJM podcast and I find it funny to see Mark Weber (former Joe Marketing Manager at Hasbro) on the show now versus a few months ago.   He recently got hired on by Bobby Vala and ever since there has been a bit more Action Force talk and he seems to have become more of a "marketer" for the line during the streams.   Not a bad thing per se, just something I noticed.

As for Bobby Vala, well if you know you know what you are likely to get from any video with him.   The funny part about that reseller video is that he talks about his issues with them, and talks about how he wants to make it easier for collectors to get his product.   However he doesn't ever mention he won't do exclusives anymore which is where the biggest issue for resellers comes from because of limited availability.

Either way take what he says with a grain of salt because he is no different than most people where he will talk about what he talks about with his view point.   Similar to when he talked about how he was working with Walmart to get in with them, but turns out it was just getting on the marketplace as a seller which anyone can do with the proper leg work.

Yes, yes. Let's the numbers grow......

Looks like the fence sitters are starting to get off the fence now that the deadline is looming, which is of course what was expected to happen.

I know it's going to make it, but I'll still breath a sigh of relief when it does.

Yep....as expected we are seeing the final days bump. Less than 1,300 backers to go until the Baroness.....easy peasy.

I still can't fully warm up to this. Very far from a no brainier to me like the Hiss and Dragonfly.  I finally looked at all the pictures on Pulse for the first time. My favorite part of this Haslab is Baroness' hairdo, but I'm not sure that is enough 🤷

I don't know, a good haircut or style can make or break a look..... 🤣

I get where you are coming from, however for me it is more about the price, and tiers, this time around than anything else.   The Skystriker and HISS were no brainers for me.   The Dragonfly was a mostly yes, but I was a bit wishy-washy on it for a little while.   Never enough to not back it, but definitely questioning if it was as truly inspiring to me as the HISS or Skystriker.

Now the Rattler is awesome to me in general, and I backed it almost day one.   However the price still kind of bothers me, combined with the tiers being one less figure than before, AND, the first tier being those ridiculous patches.   As someone said, somewhere.   Patches are a better fit for a cosplay item like the Ghostbusters Haslabs, than a toy based Haslab.   I thought about this a bit, and I kind of think I would have preferred a book of some kind, or maybe a special ultra high end print of some kind.   Some kind of companion piece to go with a possible display behind the Rattler.   The book would be some kind of design/spec book like they did with the Khetanna (Jabba's Sail Barge).

I know that probably would have cost more, but I don't know if a ultra high quality print would have cost more than patches.
