Oh for sure they are spoiled for choice, but that's maybe allowed them to predict the numbers better than the other brands. It will be curious going forward. With Vamp and smaller type vehicles they have another viable method. But bigger things like the Whale might be just too damn big before factoring in price. You have your tank size that fits nicely in a HasLab price point and they aren't short on options there. I think they could fill 10 years of HasLabs easily which is longer than a line typically lasts.
I'm still waffling like crazy about this one. On the one hand - it looks amazing. I've always loved the Joe/Cobra planes for whatever reason. It's just an impressive offering and I ended up not getting either of the previous HasLabs, so this one feels like a good jumping point to get something really cool and fun.
Ooooon the other hand... I did this already. I went hard on 25A/Modern Era and bought many (most?) of the vehicles. I loved them. Then they sat around in boxes in the closet until most of them got sold and some just went in the trash because they got torn up too much from being moved around and packed/re-packed so many times because I just had nowhere to put any of them.
So why the hell do I need to seriously consider this thing? I can pretty much guarantee that I'll love it. And I can also pretty much guarantee it will spend most of its life with me in a box in a closet because I have nowhere to put it, but won't be able to force myself to part with it until it breaks or the value bottoms out and I'll be selling it off for pennies on the dollar of what it cost me to get it.
But I still want it.
Toy collecting is a damn sickness, is what it is.
The thing to think about with this one is the SIZE of this box. I don't know how much closet space you have - but even just sitting around in a closet this thing is going to be eating up the real estate... That was one of the major factors that stopped me buying the Dragonfly - i wanted the figures alot but knew i wouldn't have the space to display the copter - and still almost talked myself into it until i realized i might not even have the space to store the copter even if i didn't display it. i understand the dilemma though
I wish we had the Dragonfly in hand before I back this. I just want a feeling of the scope of the packaging. I do have the HISS on display and it's beautiful, but the Dragonfly is so much longer and I just kinda want to get a vibe for the scope of it in hand.
I mean, I'm 99% sure I'm gonna back this, but it's tough.
I feel everyone's pain about the big boxes. The Haslab Sentinel and Galactus are in the boxes in my studio. I think i'm close to caving and just putting Galactus out on display standing up. But man, that nagging worry about resale value. (Of course it'll be my partner selling it after I'm DEAD, but...)

Back and forth with the funding. Triple digit gains then down to lower double digit gains...strange.
I’m going to have to YouTube “how to hang toy planes from the ceiling” for the Dragonfly and Rattler to save some shelf space when they arrive.
Yeah... the ceiling hooks and fishing line idea is definitely something I've been hodling onto. Once upon a time I considered installing some lights into the Hasbro helicarrier and hanging it from the ceiling like that - but the thing looked like garbage underneath and was never supposed to be anything other than a platform so I scrapped the idea. I've been holding onto it in case they ever do release a Marvel Legends equivalent of the Blackbird or Quinjet... But if they don't go there, maybe, maybe I'd go that route for a Classified Skystriker...
Any issues with fishing line over time? Does it cause any wear/paint rub from contact over time? I'm considering it as well since shelf space is an ever present issue.
Anyway....

Well it should pass 15,000 sometime today. Getting closer to that Baroness.
I don't think I'm interested in any more big vehicles, either. I bought a ton of World Peacekeepers vehicles for my 1/18th scale figures and don't have space for them anymore. And those vehicles are better than Hasbro's, not to mention way cheaper. Unless the vehicle is designed with figure posing in mind, I'm going to have to pass. I might bite on a diorama piece, though, like a remake of the Command Center or 1992 Headquarters.

Ok. Just over 15,000 now let's get it above 16,000 before the final few days.

Never heard of those being issues before but I wouldn't really know since I've yet to do it myself. I'd imagine that's a good question for Star Wars diehards though.

You're not wrong. I'm fortunate that my place has a storage closet in the hallway the size of a typical walk-in closet. So I can store a fair bit of boxed stuff without a problem. But you're totally right that it's still a BIG box.
Honestly, I think I've mostly talked myself out of buying this. As amazing as it looks, it's going to cost me in the neighborhood of 550-600 Canadian dollars to mostly not be displayed. I want it. Pretty bad. Just.. probably not -THAT- bad.
Have they said anything about the a general release Wild Bill from the last Haslab yet? I know we got the slightly modded traditional Cobra Commander, but with no room for a Batwing plane much less a modded A-10 Warthog, I'm hoping there will be a solo Wild Weasel release.

I imagine they won't announce a retail Wild Bill until after the Dragonfly has shipped out to everyone. Even then if the rumoured/leaked lists for 2025 (I usually follow The Full Force to see what is possibly coming out) are accurate Wild Bill may not be in the cards until 2026 at the earliest.
