Looks like much of the same from this series. One thing that jumped out at me, and comes as no surprise when Sony is involved - the symbiote that Eddie seemingly left in the MCU after No Way Home appears in this movie. Anyway, we'll see. If this bombs and Kraven inevitably does - the hope continues that Sony will sell live action Spidey rights back to Disney.
Two possible explanations:
Venom was quite drunk and left symbiote bits in several places in both universes.
To get people who don't rigidly follow continuity to see this in the theater, the trailer includes a scene not in the movie that seemingly connects it to the massively successful No Way Home.
I feel like the second one is more likely since Sony has done it before.
