@adrienveidt it was a little... not on the nose, but a bit winky I guess? But it fell in line with everything else. The dathomir people came from that planet in the other galaxy before time was recorded, apparently escaping something pretty bad on that planet? And Huyang is aware of either them or others coming from that galaxy. Maybe what led to the Jedi also came from that area? So Huyang kinda got us primed for this dathomir origin story.
I feel like it was just kind of a gag and not to be taken seriously.Β But I've also heard that Huyang is 24,000 years old, so who knows what things he's seen.Β Hopefully it's not the introduction of the Star Wars multiverse or some such BS.
Galaxies have nothing to do with multiple universes.
@ru1977 true, and Im just kidding around - I have full faith that Filoni & Favreau wouldn't fuck up our Star Wars like that 😉
Honestly. There either isnβt much story at Peredia that they have in mind or this is just a tease for season 2. We took six episodes to get here. I enjoyed the more fantasy side of this Star Wars tale. I am hoping to see more cool spiritual aspects of connecting to the Force. I loved how Ezra spoke to the animals of the galaxy. This series has been good just really enjoyable and good.Β
Ezra disappeared 7-8 years prior? Was it more? The world and its inhabitants felt so much like the stories in Rebels and Clone Wars. I love it.
I guess spoiler talk. Why does Thrawn even care at all about Ezra? Ezra also didnβt seem hard to find. I want more about the mystery of the whales graveyard.
Thwipp!
Without going back to check any official timeline, I believe the series finale of Rebels happened right before Rogue One/A New Hope, then the OT spanned ~4 years, then Mando S1 started 5 years after ROTJ. So, depending on how many years Mando S1, S2, BOBF, and Mando S3 have taken place over, it's safe to think Thrawn and Ezra have been in exile for 11-12 years?
I was thinking 10 years ish as it looked like the teenage characters were in late twenties.Β
I know itβs not going to happen but sitting around just shooting the breeze. Iβd like to be a fly on the wall of the mobile hut.
Thwipp!
Not gonna pretend it's high art or anything.. but I am enjoying the absolute hell out of this show. I can't help but be sad every single episode that we're not going to get to see more Baylan. He might be the best part of the show. Especially after the last two episodes.
@theknightdamien yeah exactly the same here. It's well crafted popcorn and his performance is more sweet than bitter, but still.
Someone mentioned this earlier but feel that I have to make mention of it again: the composer for the music, Kevin Kiner, is absolutely killing it with this series. He's done such a good job here.
I would cast those two tasty morsels in a comedy/drama where they just read the encyclopedia.
All the cracked and broken armor patched with gold reminded me of Kintsugi ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kintsugi ).
I do hope, really-really hope, that all those troopers are reanimated Nightsister ghouls.
