I love Stargate and want a thread about it so I'm making one.  I've had the idea of 'what if the Stargate network was reactivated during a Trek era'?

So, go with me here.  Say the Milky Way portion of the Stargate network gets disabled in the relatively near future and lies abandoned for a few centuries until the Star Trek era begins?  Starfleet finds a world with an intact Ancient library, deciphers it, figures out how to re-activate the local network, and creates a facility/staff to explore it a-new.

Which Trek era would you choose?  Would you have a canon ship be the one to find the library and re-activate the network?  Would you use canon Trek characters for your TrekGate team or create all-new ones?

Would you bring back the Goa'uld, Wraith, or Ori as threats?
