Takeaways:

There are a grand total of 6(!) live action movies and TV shows in 2025, and 3 animated series.  That's a lot of content.  I know earlier this year Bob Iger said "quality over quantity" but bear in mind some of these projects have been in the works for awhile.  Last year's labor strikes did not help matters.  I really expect things to slow down quite a bit in 2027 and 2028.  I think that's a good thing.  I love Marvel but even a die hard like me can get burned out if we continue to get bombarded.

And here's an interesting thought:  Deadpool and Wolverine came out the same weekend as the San Diego Comic Con this year.  And we know that Fantastic Four First Steps comes out the same weekend as SDCC next year.

Spider-Man 4 is due to be released on July 26th, 2026.  That will almost surely be the same weekend as that year's Comic Con.  And ... there is an Untitled Marvel Studios Film coming out on July 23rd, 2027.  And again, that has to be right smack dab during Comic Con.

Coincidence?  I think not.

Deadpool and Wolverine was huge.  FF and Spidey 4 are going to be huge.  I'm guessing the film coming out in July 2027 is going to be some kind of big event movie.  Something that Marvel can make a big presentation for that will get tongues wagging on social media.  No, NOT Wong and Madisynn Go To The Mall (as cute as that would be).  No, it's got to be something that's going to get everyone excited in an old school Marvel kind of way.  Dark AvengersWorld War Hulk?  Or ... could we see the long awaited MCU debut of the X-Men at last?

Stay tuned and stuff.

Thank you for doing all that, SDcomics!

I have three more episodes of Agatha to go, then I can participate in the thread heh. I did already know two things about Teen and Rio before it started, but I still know nothing about plot stuff. And definitely enjoying the show more than I expected to, even though I was never a 'who asked for this' viewer.

I feel like they might have given away a bit too much in the BNW trailer, but we'll see.

That Cap trailer got me the most excited I've been for that movie, but the Thunderbolts one is just too full of 'f@$# yeah'. I'm seriously hyped for that movie.

Probably, but hopefully not. I think showing off that much red hulk is a good idea to get people in seats, but I'd like to have been more surprised.

They both look good, but obviously it's a wait and see kind of thing. I've been burned by good trailers before.

Storm being in it is intriguing. I've enjoyed the What If...? series more than I expected, curious what an "ending" means for a series like this, and as I was watching thought it will be a shame if we don't get What If...? with Daredevil, X-Men and FF....

I figured they would have it be something they could drag out of mothballs every once in a while to really riff on the events in a film, like the original comic did - What If Carol hadn't killed the Kree Supreme Intelligence? or What If the Avengers learned Phil Coulson was alive? or What If Namor conquered Wakanda?
