It was a good episode, I liked seeing what Agatha was like when under the spell as the detective, that was amusing, and also interesting no Rio after being AWOL end of last episode. Not sure I believe that the other witches are dead...
I found the fact that Billy Kaplan died to be a sadder aspect than I was expecting. Makes one wonder if Tommy had the same experience of taking over a just dead body, and if so, how did he adapt, and also did Wanda plan this or was it unexpected...
Did not expect to see Ralph again...I was amused by Agatha's t-shirt with reference to the Bohner family reunion.
I admit, I was hoping for an all-female Young Avengers, but agree, Wiccan is a good character so far...
@darkxorn, I wasn't interested in a Young Avengers movie until you mentioned Children's Crusade.
I'd figured at the pace they were going, characters like Kate Bishop would be in their 30s by the time we introduced Hulkling.
Buuuut, the pieces do seem to be coming together for a Children's Crusade-type story, with even America Chavez now having history with Wanda. It could be fun.
Blade was removed from the 2025 schedule, and three dates are claimed for the MCU in 2028:
2/18/28
5/5/28
11/10/28
Maybe one of those is Blade, heh.
I find it amusing they block out dates 4 years in advance now. As if Marvel couldn't announce the decided to release a new film 3 months from now and theaters wouldn't adjust to accommodate it.
RU - stop looking into 2028 and watch Agatha... 😛
My kids are flat tires damnit! I keep bringing Agatha up but noooooo, they wanna watch Cobra Kai.
And I think the date thing is more coordinating between Disney studios to make sure marvel isn't competing with one of their other releases. In this case, the new Predator movie took Blade's date.
I understand not competing but that seems like an internal schedule, not something that needs to be leaked/shared.
True, especially when half these dates end up going unused.
Really liked the latest Agatha episode, it was maleficent. This is going to be a great show to rewatch I think, and I so hope they stick the landing...which is next week with two episodes!
Both this and WandaVision have used the expanded time and episodic nature to their advantage more than most D+ shows.
Haw. Well... baby steps maybe.

Announced or Heavily Rumored, But No Release Date Yet: Blade, Shang-Chi 2, Spider-Man 4, Armor Wars, Thor 5, Black Panther 3, Doctor Strange 3, The X-Men, Wonder Man, Vision Quest, Untitled Scarlett Johansson Production, Nova, Untitled Okoye Series, Scarlet Witch, Midnight Sons. Rule of thumb: Don't count on ANYTHING until it's announced by the studio and given an official release date. And even if it's given a date, bear in mind that there's a better than even chance it may change.
Ch-ch-changes.
Daredevil Born Again has a release date: March 4th, 2025. That came from Charlie Cox at NYCC, so I guess that makes it pretty darned official. Spider-Man 4 is officially a go and will start shooting next summer. That comes from Tom Holland on the late night talk show circuit and he would know so that is likewise pretty darned official. Between Avengers Doomsday, Avengers Secret Wars and the new Christopher Nolan movie that Holland is gonna star in, I don't know where the poor kid is going to find the time. He's going to be busy for sure. Marvel has taken Blade off the schedule which does not come as a surprise. They're struggling to find a way to make the Day Walker fit in with the MCU but word on the street is the project is not dead, just delayed. There is hope, Blade fans.
And three untitled movies have been dated for 2028. February 18th, May 5th and November 10th. You gotta figure the X-Men will be in there somewhere. What else? Shang-Chi 2? Young Avengers? West Coast Avengers? Midnight Sons? World War Hulk? The Legendary Star-Lord? Doctor Strange 3? Thor 4? Deadpool 4? Nova? Fantastic Four 2?
I don't know, but it'll be fun finding out.

In fairness, one of the reasons I think Marvel announces dates so far in advance is to keep the competition a respectable distance away. They don't want Universal releasing a Jurassic Park or DC a Batman film too close to one of theirs.
And also, Marvel has owned that first weekend in May ever since the first Sam Raimi Spider-Man movie back in 2002 (Pandemics and actors strikes aside). That's the weekend that kicks off the summer and it belongs to them. That's also where the tradition of Free Comic Day came from:
"Free Comic Book Day was conceived by Joe Field, a California-based comics retailer, event promoter and partner in WonderCon. In 2001, Field noted how successful feature films based on comic book franchises were providing the comic book industry with a positive cultural and financial turnaround from the speculator bust of the mid-1990s. Inspired by Free Scoop Night at the Baskin-Robbins ice cream parlor next to his store, Field proposed Free Comic Book Day in his August 2001 "Big Picture" column in Comics & Games Retailer magazine. The column received positive reaction and Image Comics co-founder Jim Valentino suggested having the first FCBD coincide with the opening weekend of the 2002 Spider-Man feature film, in order to take advantage of the film's heavy promotion and related press about the comic book medium."

I do love that first weekend in May. Free comics and a cool superhero movie. Can't beat it.
66. Fantastic Four: Baby Steps - July 25th, 2025
Haw!
Blade, Shang-Chi 2, Spider-Man 4, Armor Wars, Thor 5, Black Panther 3, Doctor Strange 3, The X-Men, Wonder Man, Vision Quest, Untitled Scarlett Johansson Production, Nova, Untitled Okoye Series, Scarlet Witch, Midnight Sons. DEFINITELY. Supposedly, they're sweeping some of the stuff that isn't directly tied to multiverse stuff (Armor Wars, Blade, etc) to after the saga is completed.
Also, I wonder if Untitled Scarlett Johansson Production is Thunderbolts?

Going by rumors and such, I feel like Shang-Chi 2, Midnight Sons, Nova, and Doctor Strange 3 are the biggest contenders, but I hope for X-Men.
One last thing: I figure the untitled Marvel movie coming out on November 6th 2026 is Spider-Man 4. That will put it right between Avengers Doomsday and Avengers Secret Wars. The rumor is the Tom Holland Spider-Man is FINALLY gonna meet the Tom Hardy Venom and the inevitable fisticuffs and chaos will ensue. That will lead to Spidey bonding with the symbiote just in time for Secret Wars.
Just like old times, eh? 😉
Okay, one other last thing:
Also, I wonder if Untitled Scarlett Johansson Production is Thunderbolts?
There was scuttlebutt floating around for awhile that Miss Scarlett's mysterious production was going to be The Blonde Phantom, based on the old (really old) pre-Marvel Timely comics of the 1940's. It would have been a period piece about a secretary at a detective agency who secretly helped her boss when he got into a jam. The comic was actually pretty good for it's time. I'm really interested in that period of Marvel history which is why I enjoyed the Agent Carter series so much.
But yeah, she's listed as an executive producer on Thunderbolts so that's probably what it is. And that's cool. I'm really looking forward to that movie.
