I don’t see these baddies ever getting sprinkled across Spidey waves so a set would be a nice way to get β€˜em out.

@kablam Oh yeah, I'd definitely be down for a 5-pack with The Big Man and the Enforcers and an AF15 Spider-Man repainted red and blue instead of red and black. I'll bet that would be a huge seller. Four classic Spidey villains we've never gotten before, and a more desirable version of the AF15 Spidey. Sign me up!!

I'm all about fitting villains we might not typically get into these Spidey sets, so your Scarecrow inclusion definitely got me thinking in that direction. Kinda leaning toward a "Where Monsters Dwell" type of vibe:

1. Swarm

2. Scarecrow

3. Blackout

4. Man-Spider

5. Mephisto

...............I would've thrown Deathwatch in there, too, but I figured I'd leave at least ONE oddball Spidey villain in there.

Β

I'd buy Deathwatch. I don't read comics but I looked him up and I'd definitely buy his figure.

Deathwatch will NEED 2 heads, one that is masked, and longhair that is out. And the other mask less, and hair in a ponytail. πŸ˜€

Yes, YEAAAAAS! That ponytail head would look great on some of the various suited bodies they've released as well. Truly, Deathwatch would probably be the figure I'd want more than any of the others on my own list, and I didn't even include him because I felt the others fit the theme better.

Also, I think one of these sets would be a perfect way to get 8-Ball as well, who somehow has a better chance of being made than a decent handful of figures we've already seen in the line. 2023 has been year of the 8-Ball, baby! Well, at least in Moon Knight.

I'd love more Ghost Rider/supernatural villains in general, but Deathwatch and Blackout have a special place in my heart. If a new Dan Ketch GR is on the horizon I hope those two get made alongside him!

@h-bird Me, too, for sure! Maybe they still have a retro line for GR on the way, but I'm almost positive the only way we were actually going to get that would've been if the Hellcharger had been funded. Still pretty sad that it never happened, especially since those goobers KNOW all of the tiers they revealed would likely sell like hotcakes by themselves.

There's just so many good options they could've thrown in, too. Dan Ketch GR, Robbie Reyes GR (now that we don't have the Hellcharger, you know he'll pop up SOMEWHERE), Deathwatch, Blackout, Mephisto, and Blaze in all of his 90s glory. I'd definitely throw Lilith in there, too, but we'd likely be getting the video game version instead of the scandalous goth mommy version from the comics.

Juuuuuuuuuuuuuust to keep this on topic, though, Mephisto definitely DOES fit into the Spidey set since he was involved in one of the most unforgivable storylines ever, but I can see exactly why they would never mix him in with anything Spider-Themed. 😭Β

@jonan I agree, I suspect we'd be getting at least a handful of retro-carded Ghost Rider figures right now if the Hellcharger had funded. Oh well! Maybe eventually.

I like to think there is at least a retro wave full of fully sculpted and painted GR themed prototypes sitting in the vault, waiting to be released.

I would love this, but it seems unlikely considering it's a pretty deep cut for most. If they go for accuracy, the body sizes and suits are all distinct, so more costs. If they could sell a suited body with three heads for the suit guys, it might fly, but I don't think anyone would be okay with that.

Would love to close out the Ditko era, so maybe more boxes? We still need Meteor, the Cat (doubtful) a Hefner Chameleon, Crimemaster, Ringmaster and his Masters Of Menace (lots of "masters" in this era), a classic long fingers Beetle, the living brain, Smythe and a Spider-slayer. And I'd also take a classic Spidey repaint with purple in place of blue (a lot of those early issues had the costume in those colors).
