Honestly I may have bit at $150. I would have heavily considered 2, space be damned. But $175 and maybe shipping on top of that? Better be free fuckin shipping at that price. But who knows. Maybe I will still cave and get them. I just wont be able to show them to my fiance lol. But it is a year away, so i may even forget they exist. Decisions decisions.

I actually just ordered one as an experiment to see what shipping was. Since it was over the price threshhold shipping was free! I'm keeping the preorder because I can cancel it between now and next October if I have to. I put the Haslab Ecto car in my cart and tried checking out, they wanted $27 for shipping for it. So it appears as though I'd only want the Hasbro Pulse subscription if I was buying that and more from them directly, which I don't typically because they take so long to ship.
I'd prefer the battle damaged head didn't look like the zombie sentinels they fought at the junkyard in the desert, mostly because I think those were made in that particular scene to resemble more like undead humans than a sentinel in a scrap heap would. I get it, artistic license, and it WAS in the show, I just don't like how the damaged head has teeth, and when the cartoon sentinels really only have that metallic bar ever showing in the show. Do sentinels even have lips? I digress. Magnetic "ripped metal" attachments for putting anywhere on the body (color matching appropriate obviously) would make diversifying the look of these better in terms of unique damage. But that's just a minor complaint. The oversized Iron Man blast effects I was initially nonplussed by, but I'm sure some like them. Just seemed lazy at first glance.
Free shipping over $75 (excluding haslabs) has been on the Pulse main page for quite some time now 😀
And in 6pt font that scrolls by amid other messages. How could I have missed it!

There's definitely a lot of places they could have gone with this as far as accessories go. It's not really Hasbro's thing, but it would be cool if this thing sells well if they came back with a V2 next year that drops some stuff and adds in others to give people a reason to order another. Different battle damage, rocket propelled hands, tentacles, etc. They could get a lot of mileage out of this sculpt provided it does well.
The fact that shipping is free since it isn't a HasLab is a nice wrinkle. It does take the sting out of the price just a smidge.
Free shipping with this is excellent.
W/about sales tax?
in my state it’s 8.75%
so each one will cost me 190.00
i think I’ll get just one and add some custom metallic paint…
maybe get another at some point down the road and do a battle ravaged version.
For anyone on Twitter.

I wonder if the yellow and brown suited Wolverine they showed off is considered part of the next wave or not? Selfishly I'd love for his spot to go to a character who hasn't gotten a figure yet, but I know they need that anchor character, and I don't know if someone like Beast, Jubilee, or Morph would technically be considered strong enough on their own. Maaaybe Beast, but I'm not sure how well the general public knows him. The good thing about Wolverine is that he can be released whenever and he's still guaranteed to sell.
My ideal wave 3: Beast, Jubilee, Morph, Sunspot, Forge, Bastion. I'd say Sinister, but I feel like he's gotten a lot of releases in the past few years. I'm admittedly fine keeping the more comic oriented Beast in the 97 display, and if they want to make Bastion a deluxe release, I'm cool with that. I'd give their spots to Cable and/or Shi'ar Xavier.
Isn't the yellow and brown part of Secret Wars? Regardless, it would not surprise anyone to see a Wolverine in any given X-Men wave. And if wave 3 is a year+ away (I don't think Season 2 is expected before 2026) then a re-release of that figure could already be on tap.
We are long, long, long overdue for an animated Beast. The old retro card Beast is actually fine, one of the better sculpts they've done, and just giving him some new heads would suit me. After that, I'd like to see Morph, Sunspot, Jubilee, Cable, and I guess Bastion. I'm mostly in this to supplement the '92 team so admittedly I don't have much invested in some of those selections, but they make sense for a '97 Wave 3.

yeah the brown and tan wolverine is part of the secret wars assortment. We've been over this already lol. the figure is up for preorder for crying out loud. Also even though its the brown and tan suit, its technically not the version that appeared in X-Men 97 because the belt buckle is wrong. Wolverine has to be wearing the X insignia on his belt in order for it to be considered canonical for the tv show.
Sorry if this was already addressed - was it ever mentioned if they were adding a thigh cut to the Sentinel?
If they include Bastion in wave three, it has to be in his stage one form. Because his stage three form with the wings would be to big.
