I mean... the Warbird was NOT a picnic to obtain. It sold out online lightning fast and has been extremely hard to track down in store. I have had a similar problem trying to get the Classified Tiger Paw exclusive. Sold thru quickly on-line and is nowhere to be found in store, at least around here.
These are re-issue, so will probably be better as you shouldn't be competing with quite as many people for them at least.
Yeah, Warbird did sell out before I could get a preorder. But the day it released, I was able to place online orders for pick up and delivery. I usually want multiples, and was able to get everything I needed. I even lucked out and found one in store last week. I've found Carnage in person too. Black Widow was plentiful last year for me. I am aware that distribution is very uneven though.
I was never able to get Tracksuit Mafia through Target. I had to eventually buy it from BBTS. I had to pay scalpers prices for Warbird despite trying to place an order in the first minute that it went live and visiting my local store multiple times on the street date and throughout that week. I also was unable to get Carnage despite trying to order within the first few minutes of going live and never saw it in the store either, but decided that I didn't want it anyway. Beyond those 3, I've never had any problems.
Per Dan, Rogue has been dropped (or was never supposed to be included) from Friday's presale. It's now just Wolverine from this line and Venompool. Rogue is still coming, but no further info was given. Maybe a different retailer ponied up the funds for Rogue?

Yeah, I reeeeally hope they do something different with Rogue. She's the last one I need, and I just know she's gonna be a pain to get. I had a little hope when it was her alongside Wolvie and Venom, but if she just goes up by herself, unless they're really stocking her well, I foresee it being an issue. This is one of those "I won't rest easy until it's in my hands, even if I get a pre-order through" situations. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for the chance, but there's always a better way to do it.

Looks like you posted this riiiiiiiight as I edited my original. Wolverine secured...until Target cancels it in the middle of the night.
Looks like he's still up an hour after the fact. Good on Hasbro, good on Target. Hopefully Rogue is this easy whenever she comes around for those in need.

EVERYTHING is uneven with Target now--imagine a way they can screw things up, and they eventually will.
Taking your example--I was also vigilant about doing an in-store pickup on release day. So I placed my order for pickup, and an hour or two later got a notice that they were actually out of stock. No biggie, there are around a dozen Targets within 50 miles of me, so I just placed another pickup order. And another. And another. It took six pickup orders before I finally got one.
Weeks later I saw Warbird either in the store or available for online order and in-store pickup at ALL of those stores where she was "sold out" on release day. Love it. 🙄
My internet at work was down today (of COURSE!) so I placed my oder on my phone which I do not usually do. I ordered it under my wife's name by accident. Now she got the email confirmation and the inevitable "approve delay" emails that will come weekly. So now I have to get her to stay on top of those things.
