Ugh, I want NOTHING from the Quitely era.
Except a Deadpool & Wolverine Cassandra & Jean in the black shirt/coat. And Quitely only gets credit for one of those!
In terms of Storm, I hope they put her in her X-Treme X-Men costume to go with the rest of the New X-Men looks. I wouldn't mind if they made the red lining and arm piece yellow to give it more uniformity (plus more chance for a Legends X-Treme X-Men Storm)!
I NEVER want to see her in a monstrosity like this:
YIKES - is that last one real? How long did it last? I have no memory of that.
X-Treme Storm is a heck yes. I love that look, though if they deleted the red pouches on her arms I wouldn't be opposed. I would always take an update of X-Treme Rogue, too, as wasteful of a slot as that would be.
Hey, maybe Purple Shi'ar Jumpsuit Rogue could come in a two-pack with Deathbird! Purples unite?
Storm only wore the second one for like, one issue. I love it though.

If this is how we finally start getting some Quitely era X-Men figures from Hasbro, I’ll be stoked.
Not my favorite look for the team, but definitely one I'm a fan of. I kind of hope they do at least one more wave based on season 1, so they can make Jubilee in her traditional look, but I'm kind of curious to see how she'd look in Morrison's gear.
I had no idea there was a demand for Stacy X. I’d rather have Beak or Blob Herman.
Who says we have to choose? You have so little interest in Stacy X you want a guy who's name you don't even know over her!
She's not a huge want, but I'd take her. She's an official member of the X-Men after all.
Interested to see the Morrison suits in action. They're not my favorite suits either, but I do prefer them over the retro suits the team had toward the end of season 1 (blasphemy, I know). I think it's kinda neat that they're switching up their looks so much during the show, and paying homage to their looks over the years. I guess the only downside to switching looks so often is that it lessens the chance that we'll get all of them in figure form.
That said, like others, I hope there's at least 1 more wave with the main season 1 suits. We know we're getting yellow and brown Wolverine, and there's plenty else to fill the wave- Jubilee and Morph most of all, but also black suited Storm, Sinister, Bastion, Beast, Forge, Sunspot, and any other manner of background characters. Would hate to get all but 2 X-Members in their 97 suits.
Fine with me if they make figures of these lame costumes based on Quitely's hideous art. I just won't buy them.
But I think it'll be a real shame if New X-Men is slated to be the source material for any of the stories told in the show's second season. X-Men 97 saw massive success in season 1 by capitalizing on fans' hunger for nostalgia and a return to the classic X-Men stories and feel...so their strategy is to draw inspiration from a set of stories that amount to a giant middle finger to all of that? Strange choice, especially when there are still plenty of classic X-Men stories (and characters) that the new show or the original series never covered. I guess they want to lure in a younger demographic, but it may cost them the older one that probably helped the 1st season be so successful.
At least I can take solace in the fact that they'll move through this entire era in a a few episodes. Hopefully.
Wish the show would stick to drawing on stories from the 60s-mid 90s. The X-Men have been an absolute dumpster fire ever since.
If Stacy X appears in animated or figure form I hope they call her XStacy and Joe Casey smiles.

How would these suits lure in a younger demographic?

Morrison's stories are already all over the first season of X-Men '97. I'm sure they can continue to adapt more modern material in a way that is compelling.
Not sure if I need Stacy X, but I'd take her mom. I hear she's got it going on.

Yeah. The show's most acclaimed episode is literally an adaptation of the opening of the Morrison run.
The show is going to continue doing what it always does by pulling from all eras of X-Men. That's the formula and it works so I wouldn't expect changes. I personally do not like the New X-Men era of costumes, but I don't really care either. The show isn't going to sink or swim on laundry and I'm only interested in assembling the '92 team on my shelf so the toyline can do whatever it wants.
