That last episode was amazing! Gives an excuse to make so many great characters as figures.

That it does, especially…

Spoiler

…that Imperial Guard HasLab! LET’S GO!!

I hope they use this opportunity to finally give us a Vulcan. They should put him on the Sunfire body.

What do you mean with "finally give us a Vulcan"?

Personally, I think Beast, Jubilee and Cable should all get updated pinless bodies to match the rest of the figures that have been released, all have been completley pinless except Gambit.

Agreed, don't half ass this.  I don't see what existing parts make Cable.  He should have fabric style legs, not muscley like the Zabu one.  Should be all new.  That being said, I doubt they have only designed and proto'd 12 figures.  Most likely they have more that didn't fit in Wave 1 or 2 so while the lead time is substantial, I don' think it's forever.

I also called Professor X in Shiar Warlord gear for the retro card, now I want a '97 one.  And more Shiar, maybe army builder troops.  Show is excellent! Really hitting the 90s sweet spot greatly.

@joshsquash729

They're hardly full reuse.  Goblin Queen, Jean, X-Cutioner are all new and Nightcrawler is more different than I realized.  I get that Hasbro reuses stuff sure, but this line is a great opportunity for some really satisfying figures of characters including some deep cuts

Yea Nightcrawer is just the torso (maybe) and the tail. Everything else is new. Even hands and feet, which they could've skimped on, and didn't. Storm and Rogue use a little more of the old pieces, but they still have alot more new because of the pinless joints and sculpted boots on Rogue. Rogues chest is also new. It has less defined boobs and a shirt wrinkle in there. I'm not 100% sure but I think the Skrull Queen Spiderwoman uses that same chest. As I don't have it, I can't be certain, but it looks that way in pics. Old Rogue uses the old Ms Marvel chest, which they may be phasing out now and replacing with this new one.

I think his Vulcan comment was a joke. At least I hope it was.

I was just happy to see that Vulcan is a real character, now that he's been Animated.

That distinction is probably silly, but definitely one my kid brain stills win out on. 🙂

Wow... that's an interesting hang-up.     Since I was reading super hero comics before I was watching super hero cartoons  that doesn't make a lick of sense to me personally.

Me neither.  If anything it was the other way around - like Harley needed to show up in comics or Morph.  But this toon might be bigger than what the 2016 Juggernaut Wave started for us - really might see some fun stuff.  Cable and yesterday's Xavier would make me happy, Deathbird seems obvious, but I wonder where stuff like Korvus or Genoshan soldiers fall.

If this show continues to be this good (and I think it will at least onto season 2), I'm going to be needing every character they can give us.

I can already see waves 3 and 4 maybe looking like this:

wave 3:

Jubilee

Sunspot

Cable

Morph

Mr. Sinister

White Queen

wave 4:

Beast

Storm

Mystique

Colossus

Forge

Psylocke (I can dream)

Rewatching the show to get my wife caught up and watched episode 2 last night.  I've resigned myself to passing on the vast majority of this line just for the fact that I have Wolverines and Storms and Cyclopses and Gambits and Rogues already, but releases like M costume Magneto, Goblin Queen, stuff that hasn't been done before, are fair game.  I guess I should pull the trigger on X-Cutioner but I'm worried that the long plastic coats and capes are going to make him a statue.  How's the articulation on this guy?

Nightcrawler has like 3 or 4 minutes of screen time total so far in the show - but got a figure in the line before Jubilee and Morph?   Heck even Forge was on screen for more actual minutes so far than Kurt.    It's because people like Nightcrawler and have been wanting a new figure.    So it's not just that they had recent figures,  but that they had recent figures and aren't as popular as some of the other characters

Nightcrawler has only had a few minutes of screen time so far, but it is worth noting he’s part of the opening credits of episode 6. I think he might have a bigger role going forward.

Also now that Nightcrawler is on the team and Storm is in her old costume, it got me thinking how wild it would be if this show worked backwards (in terms of team composition and costumes) and gave us the giant size Xmen after the 90’s looks.

@supreme_d I think that would be pretty neat if they work back to Giant Sized X-Men.  I would definitely give them fuel to crank out fresh versions of those looks, which I think would be welcomed by a lot of collectors.

Honestly, Im enjoying this show so much.  I don't mind double, triple, or even quadruple dipping on some characters.  It's making a big enough impact on to where I really do just want an X-Men '97 centric display.  The figures they're giving us have been great, they really do stand out on the shelf among the the other figures with their matt colors and more cartoony aesthetic.  I'm really happy with what they've been giving us here!

@yojoebro82 X-Cutioner has nice articulation considering the costume design. There are cuts in his long jacket that give him decent range for dynamic blasting poses and poses with his spears.

BBTS was the one place I was aware of that still had the Storm/Thunderbird 2pk from a couple of years ago in stock for around original retail price. It is now sold out.

you know, I was shopping at Walmart again today and I had a revelation.

There is X-men '97 junk at every store.   The show is a huge hit.  Yet no Marvel Legends figures.  It has its own section and its depleted of the things that customers want to buy.  There is absolutely no way they don't manufacture additional wave1, at least Wolverine and Rogue, at some point in the aggregate near future.

This property is hot and they will definitely make more.  I'm not so worried about the ones I missed any longer.
