🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Back on topic, Robo said in his X-Cutioner review that the Nightcrawler body was an upgrade over the Wendigo one - is it just because it's pinless? I can't see anything else that would make it better than that one...

@fenrys I'm seeing a lot of positive reception to the sneak preview. Of course, I think it's coming from a lot of people close to the product who are likely predisposed to like it, but it's encouraging nonetheless. I'm surprised Disney hasn't posted the opening credits yet to get people even more hyped, but maybe that's coming over the next few days before the premiere on Wednesday. I feel like I should go out and buy a big box of Froot Loops or Frosted Flakes for the first time in 20 years or whatever to enjoy while I watch the premiere.

And on the subject of toys, I came across a lone X-Cutioner at Target today, the first Wave 2 figure I've spotted in the wild. He looks cool, but isn't essential for me so I left him on the pegs. I remain interested in Jean and possibly Nightcrawler, but have yet to come across either.

I came across some wave 2 at Walmart today, was kinda surprised to see them. I've heard a lot of positive reactions to the sneak preview as well. My biggest hope for the season is that Morph gets some time in the spotlight

@tenime the glove & boot tops are sculpted this time & the knee joints are much tighter.  He's also got a bit more muscle definition in his limbs.

Yep.  I had a thread on the old board about this--Hasbro's engineering on the joints is their biggest improvement over the past few years.  Most figures I bought in 2019 when Wendigo Nightcrawler came out have at least a few floppy joints either right out of the package or within a few months of working with them, but the joints on figures starting around 2022 on are the tightest I've ever seen from Hasbro.  They're often TOO tight, although that's so easily fixed with heat that I don't mind at all, I'd much rather have to heat them up than have them become floppy.

The 1992 cartoon hit when I was just the right age, it's still my favorite adaption of any super heroes, including the MCU.  If I had to trim my Marvel collection down to only 10 figures, it would easily be the 9 X-Men in the '92 cartoon's intro along with Magneto.

Personally, I can't wait for X-Men '97.

This post!

Man, I have to agree with you on all of the above.  Seeing this pic makes me remember why I didn't go in on the VHS or the 97 lines.  I mean, these figures right here invoke the 90's cartoon as much as any of the other two lines.

However, if I was playing the hypothetical "If I only had one X-Men team" game, there's no way I could choose between this and the Claremont/Cockrum/Byrne team.  I'll just have to keep a larger set number of X-Men than you.

(Also, seeing this post makes me feel that the Mafex Magneto may be a necessity).

Actually the old figure looks more defined in the calves and upper legs to me. Overall I think the new figure has more mass in the limbs, as if Nightcrawler has been on a bulk phase for the last 2 months. For instance, old Kurt has a straight line from his shoulder to his elbow joint, but new Kurt has a noticeable curve to suggest a bicep.

In addition:

-the hands are slightly bigger and the peg doesn’t cut as far into the palm

-the feet have shorter toes and are a little fatter

-the colors are different. Blue is obvious, the new red is more vibrant, and the white even has the tiniest hint of grey when compared to the old version that was a brighter white. I cant tell if the black is different.

Lol but I already have a great one!

And I definitely don't want a beefier Kurt. *shrug*

The less you have the more you appreciate what you have.

I'm probably gonna get him. I always liked Nightcrawler, and while I am fine with the older one, I don't see a reason not to get him personally.
