Amazon is all over the place with these pull-in's and push-out's. I haven't even been looking at the e-mail notifications anymore. They show up when they show up I guess...
Who do you want to see in wave 3? My picks are Jubilee and Morph without cel-shading.
I know that I'm going to be the oddball here but I'd most want the "civilian" characters that are confirmed to be in the show that we've never gotten Legends figures of before: Val Cooper, Bolivar Trask and Robert Kelly (I'm not counting that X-Men movie jellyfish blob figure of him that was a pack-in).
After those I think I'd most like to see Abcissa Jubilee, Morph, Sebastian Shaw and Sunspot. I'd also happily take ANY type and ANY size of Sentinel they'd give us. I bought the VHS Morph - he was the only of those I got. I bought 5 of the Sentinels from the EPIC Heroes kids line to fit in with my 3 HasLab versions, Toy Biz BAF and 2 different Hasbro Marvel Universe ones.

My Magneto came today and he is glorious.Β Β I was excited to order this costume since it is a comic accurate look for him and it does not disappoint.Β Β He is a reasonable size -Β slghtly taller than Vision and Black Panther, slgithly shorter than Namor from the Void wave.
Β
It's a costume I've wanted in figure form for a long time so I'm happy to add it to the collection.Β Β Β Nightcrawler is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.Β Β
Β
X-Cutioner, originally scheduled to arrive today,Β is now pushed back to the April 2 delivery date shared by Jean and Madelyne.
Β
But this Magneto makes me happy.
My Magneto is βshipping nowβ though it still has the March 5th date, Cyclops and X-Cutioner shipping now with Thursday projected delivery, Kurt has bumped back to mid-March and Jean and Maddie are still at their original dates, for now.
Amazon bumped my Nightcrawler up to expected delivery for tomorrow (Wed 2/28) and then hours later bumped me all the way back till mid March.Β I'm not in a hurry, but it's funny how far it fluctuated just over a few hours.
The entire set and extras I pre-ordered are getting ready to drop from GameStop.
Honestly I'm kind of OK with Amazon's random roulette wheel of fulfillment on this wave.Β Β Having them come in separately, days or even weeks apart means I get individual $27 charges from Amazon instead of one $160 charge and my wife barely blinks at the smaller ones but asks about the bigger onesΒ 😆Β
My Nightcrawler(s) just updated to arriving tomorrow from Amazon!Β I'm hoping the pinless limbs will mean tighter knee joints this time, both of my Sasquatch wave Kurts are a bit hard to keep in a crouching pose due to the knees.Β
Yea that's my only gripe with that figure too. After a while the knees just bow outward if he's left crouching too long. I've heated up and reformed mine countless times. It's annoying. Walgreens Emma Frost and both Psylockes do it too, and that's when they're just standing in a neautral pose. The pinless joints I've gotten have all be pretty solid, so I don't see them doing that, which is probably the best thing about the pinless stuff. So here's hoping Kurt is the same.

I'm hoping for Beast. The retro carded one is close, but I'd really like a more cartoon-accurate head, maybe a broader chest, too. I'd love for them to make a Professor X in his hover chair, but I think that seems unlikely considering he won't be in the show.
Legends has this funny way of doing such a great job with versions of characters I'm not super interested in I end up loving the action figure. Like, I never liked armored Daredevil but that dude was permanently on my desk for two years. I never really loved this costume for Magneto, but he arrived from Amazon today and man, it just... pops? Just a solid rendition, bold colors, nice head sculpts. Really dig it.Β
X-Cutioner is really neat, too. Another character I wasn't super sold on but I just ordered one when I got the rest of the wave on a whim but he feels really unique and slick.Β
Kurt's been pushed back to Monday for me and no movement on the other three, but I really don't mind them trickling in one or two at a time.Β
Update preparing to ship from GameStop. I saw videos on YouTube, X-cutioner looks to be a little short. The entire set and extras I pre-ordered are getting ready to drop from GameStop.

Was worried last night when Cyke and Nightcrawler hadn't updated from "ordered" to "shipped", but they did this morning, along with Magneto who was scheduled for next Monday. Should all be here today. Wonder what the delay is on the ladies?
OK, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Magneto, and X-Cutioner are here, so I opened them.
X-Cutioner is ok. The coat and shoulder pads and sash get in the way of poses, not so much limiting the range, just clumsily blocking his arms, the red sash in particular. I got him into a two-hand holding the rifle pose with up/down wrist hinges, and it looks fine. He has only the ball waist articulation, no ab hinge or mid torso, but it gets good range, same style in the neck. I thought I could plug the staffs into his back, but they plug into the rifle, then the rifle plugs into his back. I'd say 7/10
Opened Cyclops next, as he's pretty much identical to the VHS version with the cel shading removed. Didn't think we'd get that redo so quickly, but I guess it's welcome. I do hate the animated style head, with the smug smirk. Not only that, but it just looks doughy. Cheeks could be more sunken in to make him look more mature. The blast effect head is better, but I don't think his teeth need to be SO gritted. Both top and bottom rows being visible make him look strained. There are more effective expressions when he's in battle. 8/10
Magneto is a very basic body, I'm guessing Vulcan, but he doesn't have the glove cuts. So hopefully these forearms get more rotation. The cape is so flat, but the cowl neck looks fine, and fits over the heads without having to remove the heads to get the cape on and off. I like both heads, though the nose looks quite long on both. I'll leave the gritted teeth head on him and put the calmer one on my extra 275 Gambit body for a Joseph. 8/10
Nightcrawler is good, but he takes a step forward, and a step backward. The main upgrades are the sculpted costume details and pinless joints. But the hips have less range of motion than the original's. These hips can't be popped off as easily either. Despite those differences, the body is the exact same height and proportions as the originals. The heads are ok, I don't love the hairstyle, or the shading on the cheeks. The blue skin tone is a shade lighter than the original, so swapping heads may necessitate swapping tails too (which are the same sculpt as well). He lacks the gripping hand and cutlass of the original. 9/10
All in all, I'm not wholly impressed, but I'm not entirely disappointed either. We'll see when Madelyne and Jean arrive. But so far, I think I enjoy wave one more.
@normdapito how is the ab crunch on your Nightcrawler?Β I opened mine today & the crunch is like a light switch,Β going from a slightly arched back to crouched completely forward with a single click.Β Did I get a dud?Β I'm contemplating swapping the new limbs onto the old body.
@fuzzybluedemon Definitely a strong detent joint in the abs. I can get it to pose in about five variations of crunched, straight, and arched. But I feel two distinct detents getting there. Swapping joints isn't a bad idea; the reds of the costumes do match. (One thing I don't love on both the original and this '97 version, the way the sculpt hunches out in the lower back when he's arched forward, due to getting the back sculpt to look natural in a neutral standing straight up pose.)
