Magneto from Amazon bumped to March 3rd. X-Cutioner still has a March 1st date. The other figures from the wave still show April.
X-Cutioner shipped and should be here tomorrow, while Magneto got pushed back to 3/4, essentially switching spots from their previous bumps. Still no movement on the rest. Most wanted us Nightcrawler, then Jean, then Cyke. Ambivalent about Pryor.
I'm thinking of getting Mafex Psylocke to go with my ML display. I've seen comparison pics and she looks pretty good with the ML figures. I also watched a review and she seems pretty good except for her shoulders that are kinda fragile. Anyone have her and use her instead of the Hasbro one? I kind of want some unbiased opinions. I don't drop that much on figures, ever, but she's probably my favorite XGirl, and I'm just not 100% happy with that version of her Hasbro did, especially since I got the shiny purple variant and not the blue more accurate one. So I kinda want to know all of what I'm getting into.
The only other figure I'm considering splurging like that on is John Wick from Chapter 3, cause it looks to have the best accessories, and the Diamond Select ones are all kinds of fucked up, between scale and face sculpt, not to mention the prices aren't great on them either. And I want a 1/12 John Wick dammit lol.
You're probably better off asking in the MAFEX thread. Psylocke is one of their weaker figures FWIW, though.

Most MAFEX figures fit in just fine with Marvel Legends. I don't have the Psylocke, and that figure's not perfect either, you can watch multiple YouTube reviews on her if you want more opinions. But the MAFEX is still the very best figure she's ever had. I don't recommend getting all MAFEX figures, unless you're stupid wealthy. But for your favorite characters, I would absolutely go MAFEX.

Which still makes her the best version of the character ever made at the 1:12 scale, as usual for Mafex. You're right, though, she's comparatively weak, which is still excellent given that Mafex is the best in the business right now for the scale. Like all Mafex females she also only gets a bit better than 90 degree bends on her elbows. Not sure why Mafex females all get such a bad range of motion on the double-jointed elbows they all have, but it's true on all of them right up through their latest release of Poison Ivy. A lot of people complain about Psylocke's face being too Anime-styled, although she looks more Jim Lee-styled that Anime-styled to my eyes given that she doesn't have the big Anime eyes.
Not sure what's wrong with her shoulders but my main issue is her joints are fairly loose as was common at the time for Mafex when she released in 2021. They started doing a MUCH better job with tight joints in late 2022 and 2023, and all of the joints I get now are much better than they were two years ago so hopefully that's true of the Psylocke re-issues. Mine has knees that are so loose I mostly put her in one-knee poses now.
I've got all of the recent Legends Psylockes from the Apocalypse wave onwards, and the Mafex is easily better than them all. She's definitely worth it to me even with the weak knees mine now has.

Madelyne is, despite not being in my favorite costume for her, my most-wanted from this wave, hoping the rest ship soon. Also only now realizing how few Nightcrawlers there are compared to EVERYONE else - is this really only the second modern buck Nightcrawler? I know he falls into a unique licensing issue so he's always been rarer but I'm just surprised we never got a few more given how beloved he is.

Yes. I honestly feel that nearly every A/B-list X-Man not named Wolverine or Cyclops could use more figures. Angel, Beast, Colossus, Iceman, and Kitty have only been done a few times, and it's often in the same costume or two. Hell, Jean, Storm, Rogue, and Psylocke have all been done more regularly, but again, it's usually in the same handful of costumes. There are like five Rogue costumes worthy of figures. There are like 15 Storm costumes worthy of figures.
Where are the X-Factor looks? New X-Men? Krakoa?

Ironically I plan to get Big M Magneto just so I can turn him into late 90s "Joseph" using an Uncanny #275 3pk extra male body. I prefer human looking Morph for my Animation Squad, whereas I never liked AOA Morph's head, so having another blank white AOA looking head would suit my needs for the old AOA body.
Overall I'd like animated Cable, Archangel (preferably mulleted), Iceman (if they wanted to throw in a green jacket Multiple Man or Wolfsbane from their limited animated appearances I wouldn't mind), a more streamlined white-eyed Maverick like from the late 90s comic series if he were to show up in the 97 show, ninja Psylocke, and since we're getting X-Cutioner and other human villains, I think Senator Kelly, Henry Geirich, Bolivar Trask and most importantly Graydon Creed with swappable "Legacy Virus" head and hands would be great to compliment those of us who have at least one Haslab Sentinel especially. I could go for a Pyro / Avalanche reissue done CORRECTLY with a more animated look for each, that means a more animated look for Avalanche and a thinner build for St. John Allerdyce. If X-Men 97 is what gets me Magneto's 90s Acolytes then so be it, they were the main baddies in adjectiveless X-Men #1 and deserve some sort of team building efforts by Hasbro sooner rather than later.
Currently I have enough Jubilees, but am bereft of decent 90s Psylockes. I'd even buy her lesser used "brown coat" look from the 90s which is just a Rogue style coat over her normal costume. Have to stay warm when mostly naked and visiting the Antarctic Savage Land in a supersonic jet you know!
Update: Having watched a few reviews from folks who already have Wave 2 in hand I have to say I'm not a fan of Nightcrawler's teen skateboarder hair at all, it doesn't look great in some poses considering that his hair is all going in one direction. Jean Grey appears to have a large enough to notice gap between her headband and her hair that seems to be just straight blue scalp for her ponytail look. And arguably my least enjoyable revelation is that Cyclops' visor is that marbled gold plastic while the rest of his costume is the usual yellow matte we all expect from his 90s look. X-Cutioner I didn't bother to preorder mostly because I think he'll be the odds on "sale" candidate, and I'd have rather had his facemask design in turquoise / blue like in the comics not metallic grey, if that's what the series has.

My Nightcrawler(s) just updated to arriving tomorrow from Amazon! I'm hoping the pinless limbs will mean tighter knee joints this time, both of my Sasquatch wave Kurts are a bit hard to keep in a crouching pose due to the knees.

I would buy every variation they want to release of those characters. I mean I freely admit that Wolverine is my weakness, I will buy every good or dumb variation of his looks they release because I have no willpower, but there's quite a few characters who need more love. The X-Factor question is a good one cos those would be, I think, mostly easy repaints or parts reuse. The original X-Factor suits were not that complicated. (And we already got Scott.)
Angel I always figured they hesitated to make because of the wings, but now that we've got one coming I will gladly let them mug me for my money if they do a few variants using that buck. Realizing I've got three Kitty Pryde figures but two could really be improved on (the original and the Marvel Unlimited exclusive). Iceman feels like a guy they struggle with, design-wise.
Am I crazy for saying I'd love a smaller Beast? I love the big boy they've made, but thinking of his early Avengers scale. Also a remake of human Beast. (Never my favorite look for him but I missed out on that five pack of their original looks, wouldn't hate a re-release.)
My X-Cutioner arrived yesterday, but I think I'll save opening him for when more of the wave arrives, which is imminent! Scott and Kurt got bumped to tomorrow. Magneto is still 3/4, and no movement yet on Grey or Pryor.
