I didn't realize everything else that is slated for April so I had to drop Kurt. He's just not different enough to warrant going into debt over lol. But, if I see him later down the line I'll definitely get him. Hopefully hes not hard to come by. Scott, Jean and Maddy are the necessary ones, so they have to stay, just in case they are hard to get. But if I miss this Kurt, it's not a huge deal. I'd rather have him, but I don't *have* to have him. Angel is slated for April too, so it may be an XFilled month. And Warren is definitely worthy.
I finally tracked down a Wave 1 Rogue. Anyone else finding her shoulder rotation joints to be strange? The peg seems ultra tiny and flimsy, yet it hesitates to rotate at all and mine clicks like it's got a ratchet in each shoulder. Tried warming it up to see if I could pop out the arms and shave down the peg in case maybe the plastic's too tight, but it wouldn't come out. In fact it started clicking MORE after being heated up. Is there a ratchet somewhere in there on that spindly peg? I went back and played with Gambit and Wolverine and those have noticeable "clunks" where it's a thicker ratcheted peg. But Rogue's shoulder peg is just so thin I keep thinking the plastic is turning white / stress cracking every time I rotate it.
Pre ordered Cyclops, Jean, Nightcrawler, Goblin Queen, and X-Cutioner. I have none of those figures, so it works out. Skipping Magneto because the last one sucked and I don't like the design of this one.

Mine does the same thing. I didn't wanna mess with it in case the peg snapped. I'll live with the clicking. It may have something to do with the new chest. It may be made different then the older one, so the arms may be harder to remove, and it may indeed have ratchet detents on the inside. I think someone posted an arm swap a while back, so I think they're removable, but just harder to do.

I’ve been tempted to get Storm to put the previous Storm head on this body. For those that have body, is the new one an improvement over the previous Jim Lee version?

I've been thinking of doing the same and also want to know people's thoughts on the new body. Sorry for not answering, just seconding the question. I am also curious how the VHS head looks on the new body and how easy the heads are to remove and swap. Can you just heat them up and pull them off?

Yes I put the VHS head on the 97 Storm and along with a custom fabric cape she is now the perfect Storm. It is an easy swap. The skin tones are SLIGHTLY different but not noticeable at all.

I put the retro white Storm head on the ‘97 body and it looks great. Fits perfectly, I barely notice a difference in skin tone, if any.

WOW. I expected less 90s cheese but this feels like a direct continuation in all aspects. And that's not a bad thing - had a big ol' smile watching this. 🙂
And finally - a release date! GameStop had updated all of Wave 2 to 2/22 release dates but have now revised that back to 3/1 - hopefully, accurate! I've wanted a single-packed Jean Grey on an orange card since 1992.
@schizm well it's been billed as a direct continuation so anything else would be disappointing. I am pumped up! Bring on Wave 3.

Back in 2003 when Legends was basically brand new and I had just got Gambit and Beast I was watching the old cartoon. My girlfriend and I would watch (and love) Batman: TAS. We could get into it, she didn't dig the X-Men one and I didn't feel the same about it anymore. HOWEVER, enough time has gone by that I'm really excited for this.

I honestly don't think I watched the final season. I want Cable and interested in X-Cutioner. I would like Onslaught adapted since that happened around then. After that who knows where they take it.
They did a good job recasting Norm Spencer, though it's going to take some getting used to with Magneto. How long until we get a kinetic claws Wolverine figure?
Ngl, that trailer gave me goosebumps a little lol. Just the music alone brought a smile to my face.
Showed the trailer to my wife and oldest son last night, and their main comments were about the animation, and how they're surprised it doesn't look better. And based solely on the trailer, I can't say I disagree. I guess I was hoping for something more as far as the animation went. Smoother. But we'll see once the series actually premieres.
I actually really like the animation style- it feels like they kinda blended the old with the new and kept as much of the original style/feel while still updating it. It doesn't look "perfect", per se, but I think it might be too jarring a change if it looked any better. At least in my opinion.
The trailer has me hyped, though. Strangely enough, I've built my X-Men Legends collection based almost entirely off the cast/looks from the 90's show, but I've skipped the official 97 figs so far, since I've been more or less content with the more comic-styled looks, but I may have to go back and get the official 97 figs, or at least snag up the few that really catch my eye (or haven't been made before, like X-Cutioner and Goblin Queen). I grew up on X-Men 90's, and it's what really started my love of the franchise (that and 90's Spidey started my love of Marvel in general). A few of my first childhood crushes were on members of the X-team 🤣 ), so it's always held a special place in my heart. That and X-Men Evolution, which I know a lot of folks didn't like, but I was at that perfect age when it started that I really dug the vibe. I'd love for both shows to get fully released on Blu Ray some time; at least the X-Men series has individual volumes that comprise the whole series- I don't think the whole series of Evolution has ever been available for purchase.
