Nothing here is doing it for me, unfortunately.
They took the cell shading off Cyke like we all knew they would, but his head looks goofy now (doesn't 97 Cyke have no yellow trunks?)
Hard to believe they decided to give Jean no torso articulation. They go out of the way to make an all new sculpt, and standard articulation is purposely left out. Hasbro has done four "Jim Lee" style Jean Greys, and none of them are particularly good.
I never found myself wanting an M costume Magneto and I never found myself wishing my Nightcrawler figure had no pins, they look fine otherwise.
Madeline is the only "maybe" for me since comic-accurate underboob Madeline is never happening. Her skin looks so pale that any head swaps likely will not match.
Great looking wave. I loved the old 5” X-Cutioner figure back in the day, so getting a new upgraded figure of him is very cool. He looks awesome. The black coat looks even better to me.
I'm a little disappointed that Kurt doesn't have a diaphragm joint and a lower ab crunch like all of the other agile characters now get. If I get him it'll be for the two heads because the only innovation I see so far in the body is that it's pinless, but that's not enough for me to buy an upgrade.
Might get that Magneto and Nightcrawler to upgrade to the pinless bod, but I'll probably pass on the others. Never cared for this version of Jean and I removed the cel shading on the VHS Cyclops to use as a stand in until we get a Cockrum/Byrne era Cyke. Don't have any love for Goblin Queen or X-Cutioner, so I'm happy to save a few bucks. They all look great though.
I'll be getting Cyclops, Jean, Goblin Queen and Nightcrawler at least. Not familiar with X-cutioner at all and this version of Magneto might be a get just for the heads
This isn't a line I plan on collecting, but I admit that Wave 2 Magneto and Nightcrawler are tempting. Nightcrawler especially if he's more poseable than the previous version.
@yojoebro82 Not sure where the no trunks thing is coming from, but he has them on in the concept and promotional art released for the show so far.

People are worrying that he won't have them because the 4" Hasbro figure and Lego figure for X-Men97 both lack the yellow trunks despite all the artwork having them (or just not being able to see his lower half).

I remember the 4" version not having them, but it's neither here nor there.
I actually thought the swap to no yellow trunks was a nice touch. Trunks on the outside is kind of a dated superhero trope, so I thought they were trying to update his look. I'd be fine either way, but if he was to dump the yellow trunks, I'd be fine with it. I also don't mind the accurate '90s comics look.
It's Jean's '97 look that somehow is uglier to me. If you look closely at the detail on her pants, you can see a lot of sculpted detail. I don't really get why. A lot of her changes seem arbitrary.
I don't personally care either if he has trunks or not. Could be that they'll all get updated costumes at some point during the first season and that's where the no trunks look is coming from.
Not to totally derail the thread, but I used to be a no-trunker myself. I think I still am, though Batman and Superman should have them.
Maybe they all ditch the trunks, Beast included. Just full on fuzzy blue dong. Hank no longer McCoy.
I'm worried they won't do birthday suit Hank justice when they make him in ML - can we count on an original sculpt, fully painted IBMMT replacement codpiece to capture his full glory?

Some people have lofty goals in life. Doctor. Lawyer. Lottery winner.
All pale before Codpiece Sculpting.
