Eh, not too into this wave. I like that new Jean ponytail head, but hate the decision to remove diaphragm articulation. She might still be an upgrade over VHS Jean regardless (an admittedly low bar), but I’ll probably take my chances she hits clearance. I’m happy with VHS Cyke and never liked M Magneto. X-Cutioner looks good, just not interested in him or Goblin Queen. Nightcrawler looks close enough to his look from the 92 series that I may grab him.

So basically I'll be looking at Giant M Magneto for the heads for a Joseph custom/swap-out later.  Nightcrawler for the pinless body (those heads look meh and his eyes appear uneven).  Cyclops I like but for the goofy smirking head but whatever, I'll wait for clearance on most of these.  X-cutioner I don't think will sell like hotcakes, so that's a safe clearance figure.  Jean looks like somewhat of an improvement, but I can't point to something pronounced about this one.  I'll likely buy Madelyne Pryor and immediately start trying on Retro Phoenix heads and various other swap out parts for a more "adult"/comic Goblin Queen look.  It's a nice touch that they couldn't be bothered to make the X-cutioner figure look like the corresponding art right next to him on the package.  Is casting a brown coat that much more expensive?  I like most all X-Men stuff, but like with the last wave, I don't need to run out and buy any of these at retail price.  At least the last wave had a significantly improved Wolverine I wanted.  I wish Nightcrawler came with a more 92 looking head rather than 97 Loreal hair product commercial hair.

Wow, might be the first whole wave I pre-order in a long time. I'm glad to see a figure of X-Cutioner (and to know he will be a part of the show). He does look a bit undersized, but I'll take what I can get with a character like that.

Don't really need another Cyke and Jean, but I'll get them anyway. Very happy to get that classic Magneto look, and am happy to get Maddy, even if the look isn't right. I might have to actually try to paint her thighs...yikes. Kurt looks good, though the last one still holds up very well, IMO. Here's hoping the plastic isn't cheap and gummy.

Best Legends news I've seen in a while. Hopefully tomorrow brings more.

Still no Cable.....I thought I'd get him in Wave 2.

Uhhh, he's right there. They even didn't skimp on the accessories as he comes with a full goblin queen.

Ha I didn't see anything but the group shot when I commented.  Well played Hasbro, well played.

X-Cutioner was a popular Top Ten and "One a Day" character so really amped for him and like I said, I want Cable....so I guess a infant one will do.  Who knows when this series or the show hit.  A third wave seems likely with Cable, Forge and who knows.  I'm on the fence of excitement here.

This might be a full wave purchase for me, and I hate buying full waves of Legends figures that dont have BAF parts.

Jean, Madelyn, and X-Cutioner are definite buys.

Might not get Cyclops, since I recently bought the VHS figure and feel like it’s a waste if I buy this version too (even though I dislike the shading effect on it). Also I own like ten different 6-inch Cyclops figures at this point (three of which are this same costume), so maybe I just sit this one out.

Might not get Magneto, since I’ve bought damn near every Legends Magneto and I have nowhere to put this one in my display. This does have better head sculpts than most the figures I own, though.

Might not get Nightcrawler, but only because I bought two of the Sasquatch wave already (since Kurt is my top 2 Xmen character). Might buy it though, since it’s pinless and I eventually want that Water Wars version, so I’ve got to support any Kurt release 😀.

Since this Scott is basically the same figure as the VHS one, can someone who has the VHS one and older one pop the old head on the new body? I wanna see how it looks. I like the old head better. I'm sure there was a pic of it at some point somewhere. But it may have been before the blip, and possibly not in this thread if it was after. The Scott on the bucky cap body.

To my shock, this is my favorite Legends wave in years. I think I'm in for X-Cutioner, Maddie, and Magneto.

Fingers crossed for a ton of X-Men box sets/two packs and at least two more waves next year.

I like the looks of Wave 2. Will probably pick up all of them. Which is a very rare occurrence for me.

Meanwhile I got the Wave 1 Magneto at Target today for $7. My closest Target only got Magneto, Bishop and Gambit from the wave, (at least that's all I ever saw there) and all that was left was Magneto. I didn't have him so I picked him up. They weren't marked as being on clearance, but I just happened to scan him today. They had Bishop the last time I was there, but I didn't know they were on clearance so cheap or I would have grabbed him then. You snooze you lose I guess.

Nightcrawler for sure with all the others likely. I only got Gambit from wave 1 but now am thinking I need at least Wolvie and Bishop.

This happens a lot with X-waves - people ignore them when they come out, but once more are revealed everyone's like "okay, now I'll get some" - it's the X-Men. Are we really thinking Hasbro isn't going to make a lot of characters?

Wave 2 I’m only skipping Cyclops and Jean, I passed on everyone but Bishop and Wolverine in wave 1.
Jean is all new and that buck looks great, lots of detail but I hate that costume, same for Scott.

I’ll headswap Maddie’s ‘97 with TRU Dark Phoenix.

Always in for any Nightcrawler so a def purchase (despite having two of the Wendigo wave), the deco is nice on the new faces.

Magneto for the 80s display, prob the unmasked Apocalypse wave Magneto head for him though, if it fits.

X-Cutioner is amazing, I’ll be honest I don’t have any attachment at all to the character from the comics or his OG look, but the Friends of Humanity belt buckle along with all the other new details, he looks familiar but the ‘97 toon design is way more unsettling and plays into his intentions and more than welcome in my villains display.

Ok got the VHS Cyclops and did the acetone "fix" to remove his cel shading. I should have waited for Hasbro to release one with an optic blast accessory (which should be DEFAULT for ALL Cyclops action figures).

Got Wolverine from Wave 1 since the claws is already an "upgrade" from the 3-pack.

How different is Jean from the 3-pack to this X-Men 97 version? Should I stick with the 3-pack?

Maddie... finally!

Nightcrawler I guess I'm ok with the old Hasbro one.

Never updated my Magneto even with the X-Men 97 one. Still stuck with the 3-pack one.

Jean's color scheme combined with that yellow cardback makes it look like the package is very empty.

The placement of Maddie's thigh cuts reminds me of every DCUC figure ... ever. *shudder*

@jokerjester so Jean, if you look really closely, has a lot of differences from the 3pk. Biggest standout to me is the belt, which no longer appears to be a separate piece, but sculpted directly to the body. It’s much wider than the old belt. Her bracers are also now part of the sculpt, or at least they look so thin that they might be. There’s a lot of sculpted detail in her legs, for the thigh “pockets”(?), but also all over the boots. The blue at the center of her uniform used to wrap all the way down her groin and up her rear end to her back, but now stops at the belt. It’s seemingly way more overdesigned and somehow even uglier than her original ‘90s costume.

Only Jean, Nightcrawler and Cyclops for me.

I sold all of my Jean figures. They were pretty bad, so no regrets. This will be FINE. Give us Phoenix Jean in green already.

Nightcrawler looks great. Thats all.

Cyclops head is too big, ugly and I already have VHS figure without cel shading...but I can't just pass on this one. He has an optic blast accessory!

One of the worst Magneto costumes ever, so...pass. They can keep their long arm figures. I can use that headsculpt, though...

X-Cutioner looks like Fortnite skin that no one likes or Batman's forgotten villain. He is also too small. Pass.

Madelyn - maybe, probably. She looks good. Her thigh cuts is ugly as hell. Some designers at Hasbro should retire...She had a perfect place for thigh cut and you didn't use the opportunity.
