Only pre-ordered Wolverine, pinless on this buck is my dream. Definitive 6" Wolverine for me & makes me feel less bad for missing out on the MAFEX.Β
I had a visceral reaction to Magneto's red gloves. If I was redesigning his classic outfit, that wouldn't be my first alteration.
I'm picking up Storm, Magneto, Wolverine, and Rogue. The heads with hair are too animated looking for my liking so they will be getting part swapped around.
The feedback I've seen around Bishop's head sculpt has been almost entirely negative, but I really like it. Good look for the character IMO.
The headsculpt is the only reason I ordered the figure.

Could someone tell me when the first X-men TAS VHS figure was announced? I'm curious if any new VHS figures will get announced before this 97 wave starts shipping. I'm guessing Hasbro will wait until the 97 figures start shipping before they make any announcements about VHS figures, if they are making more VHS figures.
The whole figure is nice, all new buck with a sleaker costume redesign, I like the shorter hair a lot (pretty close to his current look) I just worry his face sculpt itself is too stylized to match the toon and would look off on my X-Shelf.
@bills-all-day They said the line is on hold, so it'll be awhile before any new figures get announced (if any do at all).

I didn't even notice 🤣Β
But there's no way they don't re-release these somewhere down the line (probably sooner rather than later) with more comic accurate colors and head sculpts.Β

@bills-all-day the first was announced at PulseCon 2021. If the line is coming back, I suppose you could look to PulseCon 2023 as a likely spot for an announcement, but with the X-Men '97 figures expected to either not be out or just shipping, it wouldn't surprise me if they stick to Spider-Man as the VHS line for next year. This first wave seems to be designed to complement the VHS figures from last year.

Thanks for the info! I plan to pick up Rogue, Bishop, and Magneto from the first 97 wave. I'm curious how they will look in hand. From the promo photos I've seen, they seem to be stylized a little differently than the TAS VHS figures. Though, they will probably fit in fine (except for the cell shading). I'm really hoping they release a more TAS-accurate Beast and re-release Professor X.

Beast is definitely the one I'm missing most. I got the lab coat Beast as a fill-in, but he really needs a dedicated, animated, head sculpt.
Magneto's red hands bother me a lot. Not because it's different from the classic look, but just because I think it looks bad.
I'm really excited about Wolverine and Gambit, though.
I got the epic/Titan heroes sentinel today. Obviously not on par with the haslab or even the marvel universe one but unbeatable for the price and Great for army buildingΒ
Iβm most excited about Magneto. Iβm hoping heβs somewhat bigger in terms of his build than the family three pack version. Then I can use the Onslaught shadowed head on him. Might replace the hands with purple translucent hands.Β
