I put the Retro Rogue's hair on the Juggernaut wave Rogue's face.  I like the dark brown jacket because that matches the Gambit I'm using.  And I think that Juggernaut wave face is the closest to Jim Lee's art.

That does look pretty spot on.

I like it and I thought about doing the same.  The plan was to swap hair on both retro card Rogue and Gambit with their respective regular releases.  I managed to do Gambit's, but I had such a hard time getting his hair off, I said "Forget it" for Rogue.  Maybe I'll try someday.

Yeah the Rogue hair took me a while to take off, they used a LOT of glue on there.   I think it took me like half an hour of blow drying it before I was able to take the hair off.

Not dissing this custom by any means, I just can't do the wide-set eyes from that Rogue's face.  If you look at the Jim Lee piece her eyes start where the sides of her nose ends.  The figure has them further apart.  Like it was said, this is good enough for most people.  Personally I still love the customs people do by repainting 90s Polaris' head to look like Rogue's hair.  I actually bought the Sersi and Black Knight 2pk when it was on sale specifically so I could repaint Sersi's hair since I feel like her face has a more "happy" Rogue look about it.

Question for those of you that have the '97 Bishop. Are the black wrist cuffs removable?

I want to put black cuffs on Blade but the only figure that can donate are those Sasquatch wave Deadpools and they're both more than I want to spend just for cuffs.

Got Bishop and Magneto yesterday for my birthday - really impressed!  Bishop is a great Marvel Legends. Couldn't care less about the head since it's easily swapped.  Both figures capture the Jim Lee style in my opinion and are a joy.  Maybe not quite NECA level, but looking very forward to series 2.  Cable deserves a figure as good as Bishop.

Got Rogue, Magneto & Gambit from Amazon today.
Swapped the hands on Magneto with the AoA ones, the colour difference isn't too bad.
It's interesting that the AoA Magneto hands are bigger though.
Also I do like that Magneto's cape is fairly light & flexible too.

Got Storm using the Target discount currently running.  Only got her for the body to slap Retro Storm's head on.  The mohawk one looks a bit too "Jada Pinkett Smith" to me.  Plus her lipstick on the figure doesn't show up like she's portrayed on the card art.  Nice to have a sturdier body for Ororo.  Could have used some yellow lighting fingers though.

Do you have a pic?  I'm not wild about that retro Storm buck either.  Is this new one a big step up?

My phone borders on russet, so toy photography's a no-go for me.  However, the Retro head's skin tone is only slightly off from 97's neck/hands, I don't think most would even notice if not under very bright lights.  No more wonky knees, and the white is more matte than the last.  Only issue is that she doesn't have matching white gloves, but I can live with that and possibly source them eventually as well.  I think 97's body with the VHS Animated Box series' Storm's head would be the closest to a "Retro Animated" look similar to Apocalypse's where it's the animated coloring without the cel shading.  If you can use the Target discount for her, or find her somewhere during the Holiday Discount season, I'd say it's a worthwhile pickup considering the importance of the character overall.  It blends together pretty well.

He covers it @ 10:30 in:

Lo and behold while fixing Storm I popped off Target Retro Rogue's head only to find there is no ball peg, it's just a peg/stump, so painting Sersi's hair and slapping it on wont look great per se, but I'm considering getting 97 Rogue's figure on the cheap at some point, popping off the green coat and swapping over either Sersi's dark brown one or Retro Rogue's lighter brown one, painting the minute amount of elbow showing beneath the coat if I use Sersi's arms, and then putting her head on 97's body.  To be honest, I still don't feel like we've gotten a quintessential 90s Rogue that looks anything approximating "happy-go-lucky", but I'll continue to try.

That said, I don't have a 90s Psylocke beyond the X-Force black outfit one.  So I'm waiting on a proper Psylocke once they knock out her various 80s iterations.  Also need a green/yellow Banshee.  I had considered putting gritted teeth X-Men Legacy Rogue's head (from the Pyro 2pk) under 90s Siryn's hair, since at least it'd look like she was starting to scream etc.

Awesome, thanks.  I'm mulling over which single purchase I should make with the 25% off so I guess I can add Storm to the list.
