@fenrys we haven't seen Apocalypse yet in the new show, it's possible he goes back to his more traditional color scheme so a redo is not out of the question, though I agree unlikely. This is clearly a no BAF line for now, but it could be like the Spider-Verse wave and get a deluxe figure like Spider-Woman. And if so, I'd much rather see Juggernaut, but I don't know that he's featured in the new show.
Magneto in his headmaster outfit seems like a given. I bet that's part of the reason why we didn't get an unmasked portrait with the current figure as it will go with the variant. Beast, being the lone member of the original team not to be featured in either this wave or the VHS wave also feels like a given for Wave 2. Morph with his new look is easy reuse for Hasbro. Callisto, one of the featured villains shown off, is another easy reuse candidate along with Shaw and I would assume they want to do the main team so Sunspot seems likely. And if they have more than two waves planned, then I'd guess Magneto could get bumped to Wave 3 to spread it out more from the first, but I don't know that Hasbro would commit to three waves upfront. If I were to place a wager on wave 2, I'd go with Beast, Morph, Magneto (Headmaster), Sunspot, White Queen, and Sebastian Shaw. Personally, I'm hoping for a Cable or Nightcrawler.

I fully expect more than 2 waves, especially since the show has been greenlit for a 2nd season
I agree that Wave 2 is likely the rest of the mains as it's also a very good mix of re-use/new parts for Hasbro: Cyclops, Jean, Jubilee, Beast, Morph & Sunspot.
Although I kinda think Morph needs to not be on the Cyke body again - he looks much slimmer in the show designs.
If we can get Jean in peach color instead of the yellows and oranges they keep slapping on her and calling it "Animated" I'll consider wave 2 a success.
If Sunspot is coming, I hope he’s powered up, not in those plain clothes.

I think since it's always been a relatively subdued color of peach they may be concerned with passing eyes thinking it's bare skin/she is just wearing a barely-there blue unitard if she's in windowed packaging. Now, the VHS Jean not having the peach costume color (& that oddly neon orange hair) -- that I can't think of any reason for
Just give me that Cable and I'll buy the rest. I saw Bishop and thought he looked fantastic.
What BAF do you propose for a TV show that hasn't even had it's first trailer released.
Apocalypse, Blob, Juggernaut, Colossus. I'm sure any or all of those will make an appearance at some point. Give them an animatedish style head and basically reuse the bodies they already have, maybe with some pinless tweaks and different colors. I could see them doing that. I mean, they won't on the special cards, but if it were a BaF wave, those would probably be on the list of considerations. Hell they could even do the big ass Sabertooth everyone wants as a BaF realistically since Colossus can be one.
None of the characters you've listed have been confirmed to appear yet, in any capacity, and if they do, nobody knows what costumes or redesigns they will be receiving.
Which is why they stuck to the figures they chose, as there was already promotional material released showing what they will look like. They're single carded, no BAF's, because that's the lineup they had to work from, and I'm sure this being a Marvel TV property, they've had their fingers in it stating what Hasbro can and cannot do in terms of initial character selection.
I know they haven't been announced. You just asked what BaF would be proposed they could do. I was proposing those as choices, considering they'd be easy reuse like some of the wave is already and most likely shoe ins to appear at some point lol.

Animated Apocalypse just saw a release this year.
I know, hence why I said add new animatedish style heads, possibly pinless joints, and new colors. That's literally what they did with most of this wave. Everything but Bishop and Magneto are retooled or reused from the VHS or older Vintage card line, with new heads, pinless joints, and different colors, some only just shades of colors. And those were released recently as well. It's not unprecedented for Hasbro to rerelease a BaF or deluxe style figure shortly after its initial release in a new format. And they know people will buy it, cause of whatever reason, maybe better colors, or better expressions, or better heads, and some people actually care about pins and pinless. I could absolutely see them redoing Apocalypse with a new head or different colors. That would be a Hasbro thing to do.
But why would they have done an animated Apocalypse as a BAF in this wave if animated Apocalypse saw a carded release this year?
The more I think about it, I think Beast is definitely a shoe in for wave 2 since his recent rerelease with the lab coat lacked the animated style head from gray Beast.
Cause they do stuff like that sometimes. They've done similar before. I'm not sure if it was so short in time in between as this would've been, but it's happened.
We really need a new Mystique figure, though. All the previous ones are looking pretty bad now. Crooked skinny legs, single joints, etc.
Huh. I thought my Mystique was the only one with the weird crooked legs. Now that we have a female body with double-jointed elbows, she's one of my biggest redo wants.
After a certain amount of time, all the figures on this mold with skinny legs have this problem. I got rid of most of them simply because they couldn't stand and kept falling over.We really need a new Mystique figure, though. All the previous ones are looking pretty bad now. Far easier and more shelf-sturdy to plug those old females into a Can of Beams hex base than replace them.
That's my only consistent complaint about Mafex--no peg holes in the bottoms of the feet. My Mafex shelves are a never-ending tightrope balancing act where walking across the room too quickly could mean a huge cascading tumble of my Mafex dominos.
Blu-tack is a collector's best friend.
"side grade". I like that. I also like that makeshift Rachel. Awesome display.

Thanks, I can't take full credit for the Rachel, saw it over on the tfw2005 forums and thought it worked pretty well
