@normdapito I feel like the purple tones on the '97 Magneto are kind of a plum purple. They have somewhat of a brownish tint and it might be unique to mags because its purple paint applied to red plastic. so a pure purple wont work. I know Veebs has had success with the hands from the AoA magneto.
I got Bishop and made him perfect by swapping on the long hair head, also gave him that weapon from Kid Omega and he looks stellar. Also grabbed Rogue, Gambit and Wolverine, all worthy augmentations from the previous similar styles.
I’ll consider getting Magneto and Storm if discounted anywhere but on the whole really good quality wave.
Slightly off topic maybe, but the Magneto helmet is technically X-Men '97 so... his helmet fits on the Marvel Legends Deadpool roleplay head nicely
Reminds me of Ryan Reynolds wearing Cerebro lol!
@normdapito Yeah maybe I'll take a video at some point when I put batteries in when its moving around assuming it doesn't fall over lmao. Assuming there's any interest. Also, I didn't put the foam pads in yet. Might look a little better with them in.
Really hoping we get more waves for X-Men97, would be a great way to get out figures for a slightly different Emma Frost,
Recent boog interview confirmed there's more 97' to come, so that's nice to hear

definitely good to hear

What specifically was said? I'm guessing there's a another six-figure wave with spoiler characters.
Did Boog happen to ask why no BAF pieces for this property?
Did Boog happen to ask why no BAF pieces for this property?
I don't think we need Boog to ask, or any official answer from the Legends team to know the answer to this. The X-Men 97 figures are utilizing more dedicated sculpts and less pure re-use than most Legends waves. With Legends they dump tooling dollars into the BAF to help sell the characters they don't think will move on their own and fit it into the budget with copious reuse of bodies of the regular figures. With X-Men 97 they are confident the line up will sell across a wave at the same price without the need for the BaF and they need the tooling budget for the figures in the line.

In addition to that, they're on "retro" card backs and those never get BAF parts, and they're on "retro" card backs because they want to trigger nostalgia for fans of the old series
I hope the new Cyclops and Psylocke have their new Joe Mad inspired looks with Betsy having her face tattoo and Cyke has his hair parted in the middle. BTW do you think it might be possible for us to see Wolverine with Bone Claws in this new show? Would they dare adapt Fatal Attractions?
And those retro cardbacks are great for increased profit margins.
What BAF do you propose for a TV show that hasn't even had it's first trailer released.
