Bishop is def the star of the wave. I often buy multiples of figures, and this wave is no exception. I've got three Bishops. The only one I have just one of is Gambit, because minor changes are barely notable. He's the most redundant. They're all redundant, but some of the minor changes make a bigger impact. I have just one Magneto right now, but he seems to be the least desired/impressive, so I don't think I'll have trouble finding him once these drop in price. But I'm using those Storm and Rogue bodies to upgrade their comic figures for sure. Love the sleek pinless limbs. LOVE Storm's head sculpt.

I've seen this wave multiple times now, often in multiples of each figure, at EB. But not a single Wolverine. That's been frustrating as that's the figure I want the most. I did grab Gambit today. For context, I had the bad hair Gambit and sold it a long while ago, and never got the lighter coat retro card Gambit.

This new one seems, to me, like a pretty big improvement in every way over the previous figure. Glad I picked him up. Still hoping I'm able to find Wolverine sooner than later, but I think that's all I really need from this wave.

Loving Magneto. I wanted him to be just a bit bigger for my particular purposes (this head swap), but I still like him a lot!

I like the Magneto tons. Not a fan of why he had to be a pro westler sized guy in the 90s. I just wish his hands were purple. Not that big a deal. I'll just paint them. Might take a few attempts to mix a good shade.

Objectively speaking, if the new show adheres to the same height chart as the old then Magneto is too small. How much of an issue that is will vary from person to person. I think his head size is fine though. I think with most Legends the heads are too big while Magneto’s looks well-proportioned for the source material. The only think bugging me with him are the open hands as they’re too small. Just comparing them to the included fist hands highlights how these aren’t the same hands. That may be a nonissue for many though as it sounds like most are swapping them for purple ones anyway.

My issues with the Magneto figure are mostly in the limbs.  Long arms, skinny legs.  Not surprised the sculptor didn't make them as they don't match the overall look very well; he looks like a repainted kitbash.  Dude looks HUGE in X-Men 97 and only his torso looks huge on the figure.  He should be closer to Bishop in proportions.  And why is he so short?  He should be Gambit's height, not a half-head shorter.  He's midway between Gambit and Wolverine, so wrong.  I do love the Torso and Head sculpts, just want Hasbro to give us the perfect toon Magneto already.

There's no real color match that I know of. Will need some paint to be done right.

I read a couple pages back there was a set really close, and you may not even have to order the whole figure. Someone ordered just the hands for pretty cheap.

I don't have the '97 Magneto, but if you give him purple hands and then use some effect pieces like this, the effect pieces should work as a separator between the hands and the arms to where you wouldn't really notice a drastic color difference, right?

It was reefer shark who ordered Sleepwalker hands for his Magneto. Others have suggested using AoA Magneto hands. Don't personally know which hands are a closer match to the purple of '97 Magneto.

@normdapito the sleep walker hands are a shade lighter, but look the best as they're also dull, and match the feet a bit better, aoa are too dark and look worse

Well the cracks are starting to show for Wolverine. The blue paint on his legs for the Trunks he's wearing is starting to rub off a little on the spots where they get close to his crotch from posing his legs too much. I'll probably repaint them if I can match the shade and seal it with super glue, at least on those parts. I doubt regular sealer would work with how it rubs. It's not alot which is good, just the little raised part where it transitions from blue to yellow. I have a feeling this may be why they haven't really done it before. Yea it looks better, but this paint thing may be a long term issue. Still love the figure just not perfect now lol.

So does anyone else feel like this Wolverine figure is less animation based and more vintage comic inspired? It feels more like an early Arthur Adams Wolverine to me. Almost right around the time when he was drawing the Classic X-Men reprints in the mid 80's, but minus the belt design.

Anyone still looking for purple hand options, if you don't have Sleepwalker, Kang's hands are as close a match as Sleepwalker's. The shade is just a bit lighter, but it's so close on both. Sleepwalker's hands have a flatter finish, while Kang's are more glossy.
