@miraclemen Thanks!

I actually ended up grabbing a set of 4 sleepwalker hands on ebay for $10.   Now I don't have to cannibalize mine that's sleeping in a plastic bin somewhere in my garage lol.

I just wish the purple hands of the old Magneto matched the purple on this new one.

I can wait for a comic upgrade that will probably definitely happen eventually.

There's no way they made new sculpts and don't plan on re-using them for comic versions. It's happening. I wouldn't be surprised if we get the whole Jim Lee team in 3-packs, similar to the training uniforms.

It seems like only yesterday Hasbro recreated the X-Men #1 cover with their figures to show off the fact that the Jim Lee team was complete.

https://imgur.com/a/ZxZYL4e Got Bishop, Magneto, and Storm from Target during their sale along with MoM Scarlet Witch and the Magneto helmet. Nice time for the majority of that stuff to drop on there.

I was really just referring to Magneto there, but yea I wouldn’t be surprised if they did that either. I couldn’t care less about the Jim Lee team though, even though that’s what I grew up with. Always been more of a pre90s fan. Gimme that Outback! Give me that Byrne! Gimme that X-Factor! 🙂

For those wondering about the Magneto updates.

If they make that Magneto taller and more comic-bookish with a truly well done unmasked Jim Lee style wild-haired Eric head sculpt I'd be all over it.  Especially in a retro ToyBiz packaging.

Aside from that I finally got my 97 Wolverine.  Trying to figure out how to get rid of the masked "whiskers" without losing the skintone underneath.  Other than that it's a great figure, though I prefer the Uncanny 275 unmasked heads to this toon one, as it doesn't look much like the animated series version.  More like a Disney-fied version.  Good figure overall and brings me back to how much I enjoyed my ToyBiz Wolverine v.2 tiger stripe figure as a kid.

Aren't Magneto's upper legs new? I don't think any other characters have had sculpted underoos outside of him, Logan and Giant-Man.

BTW, what's the concensus on the new outerunderwear? Do people like that it looks like tiny shorts now instead of the "classic" underwear look?

@schizm Looks like classic underwear to me. When they don’t run on the legs, they look more like bikini briefs.

That's not surprising since these figures are for X-Men97 (a Disney show) and not the old animated series

I agree with this. They only look weird to me from the back when the legs are posed forward. Otherwise I like it.

This Wolverine is a dream come true and is basically the figure I've wanted since 1993. I'm glad I waited to find it in the store, because walking into the aisle and seeing it on the pegs was one of those classic euphoric feelings of discovery that we all chase in this hobby. They're getting increasingly rare as I get older and distribution gets poorer, so you're thankful for any you can get.

I can't believe how well it came out and how few complaints I have. I'd prefer that the arm hair was painted, but beyond that I am absolutely floored by the quality. To me, it honestly looks as good as a Mafex figure on my shelf and is preferable to what they did with this costume.

I guess my only other bummer is that the non-interchangeable claws are both good and bad. They look much, much better and are more sturdy, but I liked that the old ones could be switched out for bone claws. I wish they'd release bone clawed hands for this one, because I really need this figure with that option. Maybe one day they'll do a rerelease with bone claws and the massively haired AOA head. Just don't change the color of the blue; it's perfect!
