Thanks @normdapito !

I’ll search a bit and see if can find him on the cheap.  I ended up passing on most of the second AOA wave.

If you have an Ollie's nearby, that AoA wave has been popping up there recently

@reefer-shark aoa magneto hands are a bit darker, I used the fists from that purple and green Dr strange villain, can't recall his name, sleep something? They're a shade lighter but it matches the feet, tough to match exactly

This is definitely their best Magneto.  I didn't buy any, not yet anyway, but loved the look when I saw it.  The way the thicker belt rides up covering his lower abs is totally Jim Lee and love the headsculpt.  Hoping for a Cable figure in this line.

I bought Tiger Stripe Wolverine at a toy show yesterday. He is hands done my favorite version of this costume. I can't even notice the whiskers on mine that have been the main knock on the figure which is great. The claws, heads, everything. Just perfect IMHO. Looks great with rest of Giant-Size X-Men. Not having a classic Banshee redone really sticks out now. I would love it if they redid the brown suit like this, especially the claws.

Bishop is reminding me of animated Cyclops from last year--wasn't expecting a figure of the year candidate, but wow, there he is with just superb engineering.  Absolutely fantastic.

Bishop's quality is making me re-think the rest of them.  Wolverine looks to be their best ever.  Really just an incremental upgrade, but he's been one of their best figures ever for years so just the fact that they could improve him at all is huge.

Y'all are right about Wolvie. Best version of tiger stripe yet, hands down. My only nit is that the hair on his arms is sculpted but not painted. Is this the case for everyone? I'll try my hand at fixing it...fingers crossed.

Oh, forgot to mention, even the claws are great. Typically those have been the achilles heel for pretty much every Wolverine in my experience. As is, I'm very happy with these and won't be replacing them with Can of Beams steel claws as has been my tradition since CoB started making them.

@fenrys thanks for the recommendation!

@lipsmack ahh Sleepwalker.  I actually do have  him packed away.  But a quick look on ebay, and just grabbed a set of his 4 hands super cheap.  That’ll work for me, thanks for the heads up!

Im definitely in for this entire wave now.  I love the improvements they’ve made to the figures, and I agree that Wolvie is a slam dunk.  The more matt finish makes a huge difference for me too.  Would love to see that carry over the the other ML lines.

I didn't preorder Magneto from Pulse because I thought I'd find him at Target first. Then I saw it was sold out, but I actually did find him at Target today. The only one from the line. At Gamestop, I did find Magneto along with Gambit and Rogue. Glad I preordered Wolverine though.

Mine is like that too. It's odd. It seems this ones arm hair is pretty defined compared to the older figures arms, but it being unpainted, even just a little, is kind of confusing.

I shipped a pile of loot last week that arrived yesterday including Magneto, Rogue, and Gambit. I like most of what I see, but definitely echo the sentiment that Magneto is too small. If we assume the new show is adhering to the height chart of the old, he should be the same height as Cyclops (and so should be Gambit, if not a touch shorter), but the figure is a bit shorter than the animated Cyclops figure. He's also just slimmer overall and it's entirely possible that is in-line with the art direction of the new show. What definitely isn't though are the hands. The open hands are downright dainty and don't match at all with the fists. It's like the VHS Wolverine all over again, but at least with that release, I had no intention of ever using the little gripping hands included.

All 3 figures are a bit more gummy than I'd like, but will fit the display okay. Aside from some iffy paint, I think Rogue looks fine. I miss the big hair look of the 92 show, but that's not the figure's fault. Gambit is just all right. I continue to think the card tossing effect part looks stupid, but the solo card looks good. This portrait and color scheme is better suited for my animated shelf than the standard retro card Gambit so I'm content. I already have Wolverine and Storm from the VHS line so I have no interest in those releases. If Bishop had his 92 look I might have grabbed him. And maybe I will eventually if it hits clearance down the road because it looks fine and I like that the gun he comes with looks pretty damn close to the one he had in the old show. Aside from that, usual criticisms apply like how we need more accessories in the box for some of these. Even Gambit, who has the most, should at least have a second gripping hand to two-hand hold his staff. No effect parts for Magneto is a real bummer.

The torso lengthening is alright but when you look at the side-by-side with the promotional photo, you can tell that he's either shortened the neck or gotten the head to sit further down on it. That seems to be the biggest improvement there.

If anyone has the Apocalypse wave Magneto figure, how does that unmasked head look on the X-Men '97 body?

@reefer-shark I thought about using Kang or Sleepwalker's hands as replacements. But Sleepwalker is probably much cheaper to acquire.
