The way I'd want Wolverine improved is to loop those shoulder pads around the shoulder pegs into the shoulder sockets, the way they're doing War Machine's shoulder pads and Zemo's fur trim. He could benefit from toe articulation. He definitely needs more expressive head sculpts, but there's no shortage of them from previous Wolvie figures, and the yellow from Love Triangle is a pretty good match.
Rogue arrived today, and I like her a lot. My copy has one issue: the green paint on her left leg is thin, allowing some yellow to seep through. But she otherwise came out really well. I love that her boot details are now sculpted and not separate pieces. It always drives me nuts when people don't push those on correctly and let them dangle loose around her knees. Some of the most skilled photographers still do this and IT. DRIVES. ME. NUTS. The green jacket is a nice departure from her brown one. Those look totally reused from previous Rogue figures. Her head is ok, again, a little too anime inspired, but not as bad as Gambit. She looks built and powerful.
Where's the PICS??????
Found a peg full O'Magneto at Target so grabbed one. Now to go through my bag O'accessories to find a good purple match for the hands. Just pulling figures off my shelf I see they're bigger but the Age of Apocalypse Magneto is a close-enough color match. I'm sure we'll get other opportunities to re-buy this figure with purple hands laterT
I'm not sure how well those shoulder pads would work with Wolverine. His shoulder pads are actually supposed to be flares on the suit, not actual shoulder pads. At least originally anyway. And they're kind of small. I would be afraid of them tearing. All the SW figures I own that use that shoulder pad system have some mass to them. Not like full blown War Machine shoulder pads, but they're not just tiny triangles. However, I wouldn't mind seeing them attempt it.
I may get Rogue too since she has sculpted detailing, but I'll wait for a sale. I'll skip Mags, maybe skip Gambit, but definitely want Bishop, and probably gonna nab Storm and Rogue, if I see them on sale or something. Storm is mainly for the variation on the head and suit, making it a little more show inspired. And Bishop looks just wonderful. Rogue has the different color jacket and sculpted boots now. Gambit looks close enough to the last 2 that I don't need him, but if the price is right, I may bite.
I'm getting too old to learn new things. And my shelves are chaos right now cause I'm running out of room and don't know where to move everything around to, so I feel kind of overwhelmed and am now just ignoring it till I get the motivation to move everything around. So I won't do pics, at least presently. Shit I haven't even dusted them in months.

Target has them all on sale right now.
I got Gambit and Wolverine via the sale. I tend to collect Gambits in general, so while this does look better in person the legs on him feel like a cheaper plastic. I equated it originally to being flimsy-er because it sat outside in a box in the sun before I opened it, but in general a lot of it does feel significantly cheaper. I'd say it's a fine $15 dollar figure, but I wouldn't say it's worth $25 from the feel of it. Hopefully we have plenty of comic characters on the way to placate me. Looking forward to seeing the Red/White Angel everyone's talking about.
I'm sure someone already did it, but I popped the Sauron Wave head onto animated Bishop as soon as I opened him and, just like that, BAM, a perfect version of one of my top 10 favorite X-Men. I did notice, however, that '97 Bish doesn't have the XSE insignias on his shoulders, but that's a very minor gripe for an astonishingly perfect figure, IMO. The skin tones aren't that too far off, and it looks like the Sauron head casts a shadow on the neck anyway, so it looks great.
Got charged for Wolverine and Magneto from Pulse, but they haven't shipped or been prepared to ship yet, which is quite annoying, as I'm sure these will be popping up at retail everywhere for the next week or so. Seems like Pulse takes forever to ship after charging, but I preorder on both Amazon and Pulse in the rare instance Pulse ships first.

Unfortunately with all the preoders that hit literally within a week of each other I don't have the money right now. I will have to wait sadly. But she's not a huge deal to have presently. Maybe after I see the show if I don't have her by then I'll be clamoring for her.
I wouldnt mind seeing a Cable or Archangel from this line. If we're going to get a Nightcrawler though I really would rather have the old animated series-looking one over the template they've been showing where the newer animated version looks like he's smaller than Jubilee. I'd probably buy a Colossus, but I'm not sure how that'd look unless he's in his uniform for some reason in the series, plus this line tends to have matte-colored plastic. I wonder if his skin would have that similar quality like Bishop has.
Found Bishop at Target and this thing is a beauty.
I took advantage of that sale from Target. I canceled my sets from BBTS in my POL and from Amazon and grabbed them all from Target and with the Target 5% too saved $30 on each order. Shipped by UPS and supposed to arrive Sunday.
I came across Magneto at Target today. I had cancelled my pre-order and decided to pass, but he looked really good to me in person so I had to grab him.
he is definitely very noticeably smaller than family matters mags in hand, but since I display him on a flight stand it’s not bothering me. Worth the trade off for the better sculpt/proportions/colors imo. I threw family matters mags hands on him. Does anyone know of a better alternative set of hands by chance?
@reefer-shark I haven’t tried it myself, but I’ve heard the AoA Magneto hands match a little more closely than the Family Matters hands.
