Got my set and some extras, immediately swapped Bishops head and scarf. I needed to carve the neck a bit, so the barbell tilted back to accomodate for the socket position of the old head; scarf was an easy fit too.
Bishop is the winner for sure, even in his stock look. One thing I really like about this whole set is how dull everything is, there's no weird plastic sheen, everything looks consistent
Gambit is my next fave, wanted to also fill out my 92 series ranks so I took the retro gambit hair and swapped on the new one, makes him look way less anime
Rogue and storm are pretty low key, storms hair is amazing though
Magneto is okay, should be on Vulcan buck but he's also and old guy so maybe I'm okay with the lower height and less thick build, maybe the second costume will turn out better
Wolverine is awesome, best Logan head done to date and the cowl is a very nice touch, him and bishop offer the best values in this wave.
As for the line as a whole, the cards are really nice, I feel like we could have enjoyed a deluxe release of some kind too, cause 6 fig wave sans baf parts should have something else to accompany the wave. I'm also dying to see more, a trailer, wave 2, just anything. I'd also love Theis line to do "'92" card backs and touch on some series 1 releases, I think that would flesh this out as a great sub line
Rogue should have been delivered from Amazon via UPS today, but is delayed and untrackable. Hope she still shows up.
Rogue was the one figure my LCS didn't receive
Is Gambit basically the same (outside of a head) as two previous figures that I own? Yep.
Did I still grab this one? Yep.
Don't think I'll get any of the others though. Might be tempted by future figures though.
This is their third attempt at the "classic" Magneto and he still looks goofy as hell. He is too small for 90's Erik. Even in the cartoon he was pretty big. Arms are too long (I know it's your fault again, Dwight), head is too big or his torso is too small. It's still the best Marvel Legends Maneto, but he is not really impressive.
And he has big feet. Third time I had to mention his feet in a post 🤣 . I bet some will have an issue with his pink lips when they get him in hand. Gosh, Magneto is somewhat of a mess.
They can't sell him again if they make him perfect.
I have a casting cave head and a soft goods cape invested into my 3-pack Magneto, he's staying.

Do you have a pic of the result of said swap? I'd be interested to see how it turned out.
If Mondo ever makes these in 6'' inch form I'd be content with theirs for an animated line. I just don't have the room for 10-12" dolls.
@jtmarsh I do but I don't know how to post pics, still getting used to this new forum

If you upload your pics to a site like imgur.com you can then copy the link it gives you and when crafting your response select the "paperclip" looking icon 2 spots to the left of the "quotation" mark icon in the response options bar atop your message.
Pulse just charged for the full wave. Glad I canceled Gambit in time. I can justify an extra of the rest, that is if Amazon comes through on Rogue.

Just 6" dolls 😀
If those Mondo figures were shrunk to 6" I'd be all in, THAT'S an animated line. It looks like what NECA is doing with TMNT. No corners cut.
Pulse charged me for Wolverine and Magneto (the only two I PO'd from the wave).
Just got my shipping notice from Pulse (forgot I preordered there, frankly) of the 4 I chose to pre-order. Really regretting the Magneto Pre-Order now. Eager for Bishop and Storm though.
Pulse charged me for Wolvie too. I had ordered him and Magneto there and forgot. For some reason they only hit me with the Wolvie charge, so thankfully I was able to cancel the Magneto order as I've completely changed my mind on that figure.
Im half tempted to still get one just for the head because I like the accurate colored crest and shadowed face, but now I'm thinking it's too small and would look funny on the family matters body.
Received Bishop and Gambit today. I really like Bishop even more than I expected to now that he's in hand. I was pleasantly surprised to see so much unique sculpting/tooling. I assumed the stripes would have just been painted on as opposed to sculpted. As for the rest of the line, I only have a Wolverine coming, but now I'm tempted to get the Rogue for colorway/style consistency. Good stuff.
Wolverine is awesome. Like, they actually did improve the feet. I thought they were the same but he can bend his ankles farther for better crouching now. And they were actually smart with how they did his ankle discs. They molded them in black it looks like, so when you tilt his feet its uniform with his boots instead of breaking up the color scheme. The claws are great. Seem a bit flimsy, but if they're stored well when not on display they should be fine. I would be absolutely fine if they used these claws on him going forward. One set of hands with claws out and one with them not.
He does however have a few minor issues. His plastic is gummy. His thighs feel like they're going to tear if you swivel them too much. And his biceps also feel the same. His shoulder pads seem different then the old ones. They connect the same but they seem smaller, and don't sit flush with his shoulders when in neutral like the old ones do. They didn't paint his arm hair, but they sculpted it? So that's odd. He looks more navy blue then baby blue. It's like an in between. It's not terrible, but it's not how I remember his color. And he doesn't have any expression. The heads are both fantastic, don't get me wrong. But they're just flat. It would've been nice to have one neutral expression and one growling or screaming head (preferably the masked one). Otherwise this is one of my fave Wolverine figures ever. And it may very well be the best they've ever done. I'm honestly not sure how they could improve on it. Toe articulation? Maybe the new ab crunch/swivel combo they've been starting to try on some stuff?. Honestly I don't think I'll ever need another Tiger Stripe. With the...3? I have, I'm good now lol. Give me Astonishing.
