Just from eyeballing that photo, it seems like a little bit of Magneto being too small and a little bit of Wolverine being too tall. I didn't get Magneto because I'm happy with the FM version (until Hasbro does a proper upgrade), but I'll be curious to see Bishop and Wolverine in hand. I'm not typically a stickler about scale either, but like you said, @popoman, this definitely feels off.

Disappointing. I never particularly cared for the family matters Magneto, and this one is an improvement in some areas but a step back in others. If this one was bigger and had butterfly joints, purple gloves, and an extra unmasked head I'd be completely satisfied. But as it stands, this will most likely be the body they use when they give us an inevitable comic book Magneto on a retro card or whatever.

Oh well. Guess I'll keep waiting for my ideal Magneto.

Honestly I really hope this does go to a retro card with an unmasked head and purple gloves. It's really close to what I want. But not quite. The Mafex one is nearly my ideal Magneto, but I feel like he'll skew small next to ML and I can't justify that price.

Struck out looking at a few Targets today, my Pulse preoorder still says 12/1.

All the pics have really reaffirmed my decision to stick to just Bishop, though if I see Wolverine I may get hom eventually.

Bishop is like exactly 7" tall measured from the back of his heels to the tips of his spiky hair.

Amazon moved my Gambit order to be delivered Monday (along with some of the Mindless One figures moving up to next week).

I got a bunch of random bumps, parts of this wave, parts of Mindless One wave, some Oct 3, some Oct 4, some Nov (which didn’t seem like it justified an e-mail update. The ones I saw getting bumped up were Gambit, Storm, Rogue, Bishop.

Long time fwoosh lurker and first time poster. I realized I guess I’m one of the first to get these so I thought I’d share some pics because I love them.

a bit of a background be collected marvel legends since the very beginning toy biz days and never stopped. For the most part i thought save a few, they were trash figures. Until recently. The new format pinless quality plastic and updated sculpts which are usually just giant heads and giant feet away from having for the first time ever -mostly great proportions…it’s not talked enough about how much this line improved this year. I hear bitching about the price but no praise. You took a mostly 1/6 high end collector like myself and made a previously crappy toy line my most beloved thing this year.

and slowly inching my beloved 90s x men team together has been a joy.

at first I was a bit bummed with the 97 line. Bishop was incredible but the rest were halfway between totally new and old. I guess I wanted totally new sculpts like the across the spider verse for this line. When I got over that and when I got over comparing them to my mafex figures which they just will never be, I took a step back looked at this line and have to say it’s a phenomenal line. One of the best toy lines of all time if you ask me.

they have taken the parts that worked about the old figures and upgraded the parts that didn’t to this new high quality marvel legend format. Most of the proportions have been at least improved upon, mostly pinless… great packaging, best character designs with all the essential accessories. Phenomenal head sculpts. It’s just a winner to me.

sadly my fav x man gambit is the worst. He’s mostly the old figure with its ugly little skinny short legs. I really wish he could be better it’s the one that does not feel up to snuff with the rest and a bit too old style. And then magnetos legs are just too short. It makes him to short and it makes him have gorilla arms. I cut my arms down and sacrificed accuracy with the 4th purple ring for overall more realistic proportions but he’s just too small.

other mod was putting the retro jacket on rogue and painting her headband green and gluing the band from the retro on her hair. And I think the belt is from the old toy biz

excuse the window into my living room. Here is  pics of all my fun…  you’ll notice various fixes… replaced giant feet… fanplastic heads… things of that nature

Is new Magneto too small?

Oof. They look like figures from three different toy lines.

As I remember, Bishop was portrayed as abnormally large in the cartoon; almost larger than Cable in some cases.  Much different from how he's typically portrayed in comics, unless you have Uncanny #304 where he's basically the same size as Colossus because John Romita JR was drawing even characters like Iceman as massive hulking guys.

Magneto does look like he should be bigger in that shot though.

I find these line-up photos tricky sometimes getting everything properly lined up and holding the camera at the right angle so as not to skew everything.  Here's my attempt.

I get most don't want to buy another Wolverine.  I look for every excuse to cut out a figure, but "mmm-waaah" (kisses Wolverine action figure on the head).

Those image links weren't working for me - I took the liberty of fixing them so your photos can be shared! (You only need to post the URL of the image without any of the markup for them to show on this new forum)

EDIT: Looks like they're showing up tiny-sized. Bah!

Bishop and Wolverine look like two I'll be picking up from this line for sure.

This makes me feel a little better. I had a feeling there was some perspective trickery in that photo I posted. I think Magneto could stand to be a little taller and maybe even wider, but I'd like to see him next to a figure using the Vulcan buck

Also, for what it's worth, Amazon bumped Bishop and Storm up to this Monday for me. Wolverine and Magneto still say November. I don't have a lot of confidence in that Monday arrival date, though.

The Vulcan body is pretty perfect for Magneto. Not sure why they didn't go that route to start with.

That Wolverine is exceptional. If I liked the tiger-strike costume at all, I'd grab it.

I was really hoping that Magneto would use the Vulcan base body. That would have been perfect.

This Wolverine looks great.
