Also yes the X-23 Wolverine figure is terrible and needs to be re-done on an adult body.
Β
Except that she's tiny, and she should be even tinier than she typically is.Β Logan is 5' 3" and Laura is a clone of Logan, so the gender hormonal difference should subtract about 4 to 5 inches making Laura about 4' 10".Β Usually they say she's 5' 1" which bugs me, but at least they made her somewhat shorter than Logan.Β If they use an adult body she'll be way too tall.
She's a genetically modified clone, and if I'm not mistaken that's been retconned to her being Logan's genetically engineered daughter. Regardless, the fact that she's not male is evidence enough that she's genetically modified, so any typical rules regarding her size don't necessarily apply.
Β
Tiger stripe is my definitive Wolverine.Β I realize that was his original outfit, but as a kid, I saw his brown costume as the "old" one.Β He had that in X-Men 1, and then switched to the tiger-stripe outfit a couple of issues later, and he had that in the cartoon.Β And then the X-Men arcade game came out, and that had Cyclops and Storm in their older costumes, so I associated Wolverine's brown costume as his older costume.
Β
Anyway, watching MCU Collector's review of Magneto, it looks like the shade of purple they used is noticeably different if you were thinking of swapping the hands.Β I guess the darker purple gloves would still look better than keeping them red, though.Β
Β
I wonder how close the purple is to AoA Magneto
Β
Β
I saw on FB and they seem to match better. I am hoping to use comic Kang as I don't have AoA Magneto.
Β
So is the new Magento shorter and smaller than the previous version? I was hoping heβd be bigger and more muscular. Bummer, if heβs smaller.Β
@enigmaticclarity OK fine, we need a petite female body with better engineering than the teen female body we have. Kitty and Wasp are also too big. She's also not technically a clone, she's like a clone/daughter hybrid of DNA from Logan and the scientist who carried her.

Whoa, you're right.Β They just did that in 2018 when they resurrected Wolverine after Marvel killed their baby temporarily to freeze out Fox.Β Below is page 23 from "Hunt for Wolverine: Adamantium Agenda" issue #4 that explains the change.
My curiosity now is how this is even possible because this issue doesn't explain it.Β They supposedly had DNA from Wolverine, but to make an actual embryo with a mix of two parents you can't just have any DNA, you need a specific type--you know, that kind only males have that fertilizes eggs.Β How'd they get THAT?Β 😯Β

Same way Amanda Waller made Terry McGinnis from Batman Beyond? She used Bruce's DNA to over write Warren McGinnis' DNA so that his "gun" was shooting Bruce Wayne bullets. Maybe something similar happened with Wolverine?

That sounded impossible when I read that--and it is--but the full explanation sounds at least viable as science fiction:
"During an apparent routine flu inoculation, Warren was actually administered a nanotech solution that overwrote his reproductive DNA with Bruce Wayne's."
So little nanobots were programmed to replace those very specific cells.Β Gross.Β 🙃Β

Haha, yea, they did surprisingly well with the science fiction explanation on that considering it was a retcon that actually made made total sense (both Warren and Mary McGinnis were red heads while Terry and Matt had black hair).
Β
The X-23 I want a figure of is the Billy Tan version.
Β
Β
THIS!! This is how I think of X-23, and I've wanted a figure of her in this style for a long while!
Β
That's what pops in my head when I think of X-23 too.Β I dont really dig Laura in the Wolverine costume (but I did buy the action figure lol).
Β
So how does that foot claw attach/retract? I know with the Toy Biz it use to fold out, and with the Hasbro it just sticks out, but in the comics, from where? Is it a single toe claw? Does it come out from between toes? Which toes? Have they ever shown her barefoot to show where the claw's position is on the foot?
I always figured it came out from between her toes.Β But now that I think about it, that wouldn't make sense because she wouldn't be able to bend her foot with the blade in there right?Β Unless it retracts to her leg or something, but then she would have to keep her foot straight every time to extend it.Β Β

Β
wouldn't the same apply to her and Logan's hand claws as well? They're longer than their hands, so they shouldn't be able to move their wrists when the claws are retracted. It's one of those things you shouldn't think too hard about.
