I can see this song being in the next Deadpool movie. 😉Quit playing games with my heart...
I really think this is going to turn out to be the comic book spinner rack...
Can you imagine Hasbro revealing a comic book spinner rack as a BAF during an event with an audience in the room? The silence would be as deafening as the Titus BAF reveal. It's a neat/fun idea but would also be extremely disappointing, unless you only want a figure or two from its wave.
I cracked the code. It's none of these.
It's going to be a 12-inch Bob Iger.
It's obviously Hit-Monkey BAF redone.
It'll be Epoch. 😉 Epic, epoch, they're fairly close sounding. 😛 😆
I think this may have been noted in the General Discussion thread, but when Dan Who interviewed Dan Yun a few days ago Yun said that this wave would come out either later this year or early in 2025 and that they still hadn't picked a release quarter yet. Dwight didn't indicate that it would come out this year, he just said something generic like "you're about to get" in terms of timeframe. I suppose most people would assume that means it would happen soon--and perhaps they'll announce it at PulseCon now that Dwight has teased it--but maybe not, Dan Yun seemed to want to tone expectations down for when we'll find out what this new BAF wave will be.
Dan clearly didn't want to give any hints about it, but he did give one--he said that the wave and the BAF were directly in the main Marvel character properties that both Dwight and Dan love. I'd assume that means it's probably an X-Men wave since they both love that team. I think Dan Yun's favorite is Spidey, but I'm sure Dwight loves Spidey too so who knows, could be either.
Can only bee Swarm...with lots of bee constructs.
There is quite a discrepancy between Dwight and Dan on this. During an interview at SDCC when responding to the question 'are there were any more waves coming out this year', Dwight enthusiastically said "YES" and mentioned the "epic" BAF. Dan in recent interviews has said "maybe late 2004 or early 2005".
It's August. I would think a major company like Hasbro that deals with deadlines, contracts and release dates all the time would have things a little more solid, especially for a comic-based wave that won't get bumped at this time because of a film release delay. Nothing film-wise is happening between now and the end of 2024, so there is no reason this wave would be delayed.
I think this wave will be revealed during Pulse Con. Maybe Dan means he's unclear if the wave will be available for pre-order or shipped late 2024/early 2025.
Since this is in both their wheelhouses, it's gotta be Spidey or X-Men, or at least the BAF is. It doesn't mean the whole wave is. It could be another composite wave like Zabu.
I'm solidly guessing a classic Spider-Slayer.
… and the most epic BAF is …. Venomized Wolverine!! Dwight’s fav Wolverine.
The uncertainty about the release date sounds like someone afraid to commit to a date lest it be missed and the quarterly report is suddenly over or under significantly from what it should be. Corporations at their best.
