If Phalanx gets me more Gen X I hope it's that! I'm going to hold out for one X-wave announcement before I start the repainting for reals.
BTW - I think the next Spidey-Wave might combine Spider-Verse and NWH. Maybe not. But also...
As far as the wave - are they ever gonna go back to AoA? There were some cool figures there and Gambit, Holocaust, Bishop, Sinister should be done. Maybe some others. Likewise are they gonna finish The Reavers?? That's another Dwight deepcut and the soldiers should get done up nice along with Pierce.
AOA Gambit, Nightcrawler, Sinister, Holocaust, Storm etc. are too good to go unreleased. I can hope for a Havok, Quicksilver, Infinite Soldier etc. but I would hope they would realize they're leaving money on the table, even if they are going to scale back the production of figures as some are saying.
Abyss would be an epic BAF! But I think they're more likely to direct their energies toward Armor from Astonishing given that that's the storyline they're trickling out lately.
There are a lot of overdue BAFs. Classic Blastaar, Annhilus, Skurge, Attuma, Volstagg, Stegron, Aragorn, Awesome Andy. Not sure any of them are “epic”.
BigWheel would be funny but in a world of limited space not sure how broad that appeal would be. I mean a 1/12 scale Spidey dune buggy is funny but ….
Big Wheel's wheel is the BAF. 😉 Big Wheel is part of the wave, to build it. 😛 lol
Big Wheel would be epic from a design standpoint, and possibly doable if you had four exactly the same segments that were 90 degrees of the wheel that were simply repeated, plus a fifth piece for the seat in the middle and a sixth piece for the guns on the side. (Could even be 8 of the same segments, 4 for each side, that lock together) Tooling wise if they did this it might not be that expensive and I think it could fit in the standard Legends box if the wheel's diameter was about 10 to 12 inches.
I'd be happy with an Ameridroid and then be mad that they didn't wait until that body existed to make Super Adaptoid

As I've posted before, and was going to ask Dwight directly at SDCC but forgot:
On March 1, 2021 when they got back into the office after the shutdown, Dwight posted a picture on Instagram of a bunch of Superhero Squad figures, specifically mentioning 3 figures that hadn't been made in Legends yet - Gargoyle, Hepzibah and...
Zzzax.
He also mentioned "and others", to which a few of us called out Volcana, Reptyl, classic Crimson Dynamo, classic Titanium Man and an update to robed Mandarin.
We haven't seen any of them in Legends, and our guys rarely mention specific figures unless it's a clue.
So maybe, just maybe any of these figures went into the design phase and have been waiting for a chance to get into a wave.
Zzzax is right up Dwight's alley. Crazy character with a design and engineering challenge: how do you make him look cool and electric without him just being made out of translucent yellow plastic?
If Zzzax is the BAF, maybe it's a Hulk wave with:
Some version of Hulk
Doc Samson update
Valkryie update
Harpy
General Ross
One of the U-Foes
Defenders buddy like Gargoyle or Devil-Slayer
Or maybe it's a wave with Superhero Squad Legends first timers and updates (total longshot I know):

I loved those little super hero squad figures. I forgot I had a Gargoyle and Hepzibah from that line of toys. I should get those back out and put them up somewhere...

Good callback to that tease too. Gargoyle also ties into the Defenders tease from Dan a while back that hasn't really panned out (yet)!

I mean the translucent part isn’t the problem. It’s the under painted stylization after it. They think translucent and it’s done.

Gargoyle has been high on my most wanted list for years! I'd REALLY love to see him, Devil Slayer, and a new Classic Valkyrie in the line.
Zzzax is an inspired idea. Now I really hope it happens!
