I miscalculated and only did a 6-figure wave. It's been edited to include #7. So much better now!
I want the wave as listed and pictured by Beamish so much. It would maybe be my favorite ever. I do agree though that a good classic Falcon should be there. And of course given that hes in the movie, like Sidewinder, Marvel might swerve to the Torres Falcon to be included.
As much as i love the X-Men, and as crazy as it seems for me to say, now Id be disappointed if its an X-Men wave with that goofy ass Cameron Hodge as the baf, instead of that gorgeous wave Beamish outlined.
Going with the idea of an X-Men themed wave, I’ll guess N’astirh as the BAF. His size tended to vary as did his color, so Dwight would have options.
I don’t think it’s X-Men because when asked about them after all the reveals, they mentioned Deadpool & Wolverine plus all the X characters sprinkled around earlier this year. To me that alluded to not seeing another X wave until 2025.
The cap wave is a sensational guess. What a cool baf that would be
Since the thread is based upon a comment from Dwight here's a link to the MCUCollector24 interview where Dwight is raving about the BAF for this wave. I tried a direct link to the exact time he said it, but the forum appears to be skipping that for whatever reason so the interaction starts around the 5:50 mark.
All I know is I'd give my left testicle for Aragorn and a new, classic Valkyrie! Having two balls is overrated anyway.
@h-bird or Aragorn BAF with classic Valkyrie in the wave ala Zabu and Kazar
I would love this SO MUCH!! It would also be interesting to see how they'd break the horse down into parts.
Head/neck, wings/tail, front legs, back legs, upper torso, lower torso? Maybe a saddle in a seventh figure? We got a decent-sized Hulkbuster, surely a decent-sized horse would also be possible broken up that way.
we know that Dwight is more old school and prefers a lot of the old school designs of Marvel compared to Ryan and Dan. But he's also an engineer and really likes to test his abilities as a toy designer. (I site the recent Void BAF and Deluxe Odin as his most recent crowning achievements.)
So what would Dwight choose as his most epic Baf wave? I would have to assume that a majority of this wave would have very intricate designs and costume elements, so my mind immediately goes to Kirby and John Buscema.
I think the remaining members of the serpent society is a good bet. So could the BAF be something like Seth? Or maybe we have an upcoming cosmology wave that could include characters like the living tribuinal or a new Annihilus? Could we see an expansion of the Asgardian waves or other deities in Marvel's pantheon?
the actual makeup of this wave is leaving me quite perplexed and stumbled. But in my heart of hearts, I would assume that Dwight has to be thinking about figure designs that really test his mettle, but also skew classic.

Here's how McFarlane delivered Batman's Build-A-Horse in a wave of four figures:
Figure 1 - both front legs and tail
Figure 2 - both rear legs/hindquarters
Figure 3 - head and saddle
Figure 4 - body in two halves
I think the epic BAF is Bushmaster in an all-comic Cap wave
Sign me up! 1980-1990 Captain America was and is my all time favorite era of any comic. This would truly be epic for me.
Marvel Legends "Epic Hereos" came with stands. Clearly it's a build-a-stand.
While I appreciate the posting of that video to confirm the upcoming "epic" BAF news - why are these guys such shitty interviewers man?
Like there were multiple times where they were giving fun expansive answers where he looked annoyed and just wanted to read the next question from his phone. These dudes are taking time out of their con work schedule to talk to you - engage with them and look like you enjoy it as much as they do. It shouldn't be hard, you're talking about toys, which you ostensibly love.
I don't know... maybe it's harder than it seems, or he was really anxious about getting through his list of questions or whatever - but yeesh.
So what would Dwight choose as his most epic Baf wave?
He was only commenting on the BAF itself as epic and his favorite in 4 or 5 years. He didn't mention the characters in the wave at all.
Having framed the context accurately please do speculate on what characters an epic old school Dwight wave would consist of. 🙂
Aragorn would be an epic, old school BAF, something that I think Dwight would like to tackle and I would love to get.
I am not sure though that they could do it in the current packaging (McF packaging for the Dark Knight BAF horse is bigger I think, relative to the figures), and the fact they don't seem to be doing Lockjaw as a BAF makes me think Aragorn would be a deluxe release.
I mentioned Hodge not because I want that personally, but it also would be an interesting design choice.
Kree Supreme Intelligence could be an epic, cool BAF as well.
Fac's Cameron Hodge guess makes sense to me. Bushmaster would be cool, as well.
My guess is this is closer to the Void BAF than a fan-favorite character. It'll be a cool toy and an impressive piece of engineering more than anything.
Armor would be the best of both worlds.
