@sdcomics Oh man if we ever get any of those things Dwight said I would lose my ever lovin' mind! Back on the old forums one of my greatest wishes was for a Western themed wave! I have always loved westerns. An Invaders box set would be another wish come true. sdcomics you are absolutely right about playing the long game. I never dreamed when I started collecting legends 20 plus years ago that we would have gotten so many deep cuts and especially with the villains. I like this wave a lot, maybe because it is another comic book wave due to the lack of MCU content this year. I sold off and quit collecting MCU figures. I love the movies and never miss them but I don't need plastic versions of them. I am a comic guy so I hope after the Deadpool/Wolverine wave it is all comic again for the rest of the year. Just makes me sad that Target and Walmart only want media related waves now. Gamestop has been getting a lot more of my money now.
@h-bird I went back and looked. The other character in the Western Set would have been Phantom Rider.
What an amazing set that would have been. For us team builders, Two-Gun Kid, Red Wolf and Phantom Rider would have fit on a classic Avengers shelf. And Kid Colt is one of those classic Marvel characters that's so classic he actually pre-dates the word "Marvel".
With regards to the Invaders, the Jim Hammond Torch also checks a lot of team boxes. The All-Winners Squad, the Avengers, the West Coast Avengers, Secret Avengers, Heroes for Hire, V-Battalion and SHIELD.
You know, it kills me. This is an action figure line that calls itself Marvel Legends. A line that's been around for over 20 years. And we still, to this day, do not have a figure of the character that appeared on the cover of the very first Marvel Comic back on August 31st, 1939. To say that's a glaring omission is a bit of an understatement.
Fix it, Hasbro. Please.
I'd heard of Son of Satan before (mostly from Marvel activity books--ah, the 70s!), but the 90s series was my introduction to the character and this looks like the closest I'll get to the look from that book which I loved so. Just wish they had an extra head with long hair. Of course, I'd be down for an original version as well.
I might get Lilith as well. I read a story or 2 with her in the last couple years and that is the only familiarity I have with her character directly. This version has a cool look. I'd probably buy an original version also.
We got brown costume wolverine as a Brood recently, now we get Hellverine...Both on the pinned body and neither with swappable parts for a normal wolverine.
I'm still using the ML6 brown costume wolverine, I could use an update. Since we're going to be getting Wolverine figures until the end of time, hopefully the next brown costume they put out is pinless and has the updated torso articulation like the upcoming astonishing wolverine.

This is my biggest gripe with the line. I love it, it's the only reason I collect action figures at nearly 50 years old to begin with, but they spend way too much time and effort on re-dos and not enough on never before made figures. I'd like to see that ratio be more 50/50. Today, it feels more like 80/20 in favor of remakes and re-dos. I understand that they have to constantly release A-Listers and household names to make the line sustainable, but please give us more of those characters we've never gotten. The Marvel roster is well over 10,000 characters and increasing each and every week - there is just so much untapped potential. At the current price point they have to understand who their target demographic is, and it's not kids who have mostly never ever read a comic book.
That's what these "fan channel" waves should be all about, characters that have never been made before that might not perform well at big box retail... and we have some of that in this wave (Hellstrom/Lilith) and then we have alternate versions of Moon Knight, Storm and Wolverine.... I don't even consider Blackheart and Dracula to truly be new characters because Toy Biz did them both. Brother Voodoo isn't even a different version of what Hasbro gave us before. They're all nice updates, but still.
This wave is fantastic, really looking forward to it. Lillith especially, i can't believe we're finally getting her. I hope they keep this theme going
After the Kingpin wave I swore I wouldn’t let Hasbro soak me like that again, selling me a wave of losers to get the one BAF I needed…
but here we are
an updated Blackheart is one of the last Marvel character I need to fill out the M side of an MvC shelf (well really an XvSF/MSHvSF shelf), WOW! Who knew when they sang “I wanna take ya for a ride!” they were referring to me having to spend $150 on a Blackheart and a bunch of alsorans
I'm totally speculating, but what if Dwight's Dracula was meant for an actual horror wave, but because it was so far along in the design/prototype phase, it was rushed through to be added to this hodgepodge wave?
Meaning in my crazy thought process that there are potentially 7 other horror figures on Hasbro's back burner - 6 standard and 1 BAF... A guy can dream...
Dracula could easily have been paired with Bloodstorm in a 2-pack as well.
Also, what if the odd man out - Moon Knight had been replaced with another occultist like Baron Mordo or Dr. Druid or full-blown witch like Morgan Le Fay or Agatha Harkness. I think I might be singing a slightly different tune.
Dr. Voodoo - occultist/sorcerer
Lilith, Daimon, Blackheart, Hellverine - demons
Dracula, Bloodstorm - vampires
Moon Knight - um, ok...

I'm not sure how this is a "hodge podge" wave.. they're all supernatural characters. It absolutely is still a "horror" themed wave.
Moon Knight first appeared in Werewolf By Night, and has been a member of the Midnight Sons

I'm also all about never-before-made characters in the line, but I have a more favorable view of how they manage the balance with a-listers and redos. I also have a charitable view of what doesn't *really* count as a redo - if the character hasn't been made in nearly 20 years (Danny Ketch, Dracula) or only has one figure that is total garbage (Skaar) then it barely registers as a remake for me, even though I have them all.
As for new characters though, I think they're still doing great. In just the last year or so:
Justice
Namorita
Dum Dum (technically made before, but see above)
Nick Fury Jr
Ikaris
Count Nefaria
Blacklash
Red Widow
Wolfsbane
Clea
Lady Bullseye
Squadron Supreme
Lilandra
Mania
Sersi
This is by no means an exhaustive list - just illustrating the point.
Not sure how a Werewolf By Night isn't in this wave. Seems like a gross oversight to include the vampire but not the werewolf.
Arghh lol... Honestly imho, this is probably one of the most exciting waves to come out in a while! FINALLY getting some Ghost Rider baddie-love with Lilith and Blackheart, FINALLY getting a Count Dracula (I realize most folks would prefer a Colanesque version, but I honestly love This version!), and a "Fist of Khonshu" Moon Knight to go towards finishing The West Coast Avengers!! Alas, even though I will absolutely be grabbing him, there are some caveats lol. First off, the Sunfire buck ONLY works as an accurate physique depiction for Marc in his "First Series" run, and possibly the early part of his 90's run... The "Fist of Khonshu" run had him drawn far bulkier (he had the super-strength tied to the lunar phases again at this point, and was pushing himself even harder exercisewise) and honestly, this version (and all versions henceforth) need to be on the Vulcan buck! Also, while the new head, cape, and gauntlets and belt are nice, he also had engraved leg-guards in this outfit, not just plain gold bands. And lastly, while it's great to see the mystical Ankh-Club, the rest of the accessories are inaccurate, as he used golden "scarab-darts", an engraved golden boomerang, an axe/grapple, and throwing irons, not the staff, crescent darts and moon-blade. And If we're being super-picky, he had the Ankh on his chest, but switched back to the crescent during the WCA run! Regardless, I am a sucker for Moony, and will of course grab it immediately! Now if we could get some of his baddies...

Whoa. Were you out of the loop when Hasbro released the Juggernaut wave figure or retro-carded figure? Brother, you've gotta get yourself an update.
I agree with the consensus that a pinless brown-costume figure is coming. I'd also wager that it'll be on a retooled Astonishing body without all the costume piping.

What did Ryan and Dwight know, and when did they know it.
I hope when they do make a western set, they can squeeze the Rawhide Kid in there as well. I really enjoyed a few comics with him as a kid.
