As long as they're ready to go by the time they're unveiled, I'll be fine, but I know that's asking for a lot. If history proves correct, it'll probably be- unveiled the 27th, pre-order the 28th, and shipping somewhere in December/January, or a general "spring 2024" window. Oh, how I weep.

On the subject of glider scale, the idea of it being large isn't wrong really. That promo art seems to have downscaled it a bit. The Hot Toy and poster both show a much larger scale. As does the movie, especially when we see Tom holding it at the end and he is a smaller dude but still, it's bigger than that promo would imply. Now if it's BAF scale is debatable, if they split it into like, 3 pieces, you can ABSOLUTELY fit that in a normal box. Further in favor of the glider not being the BAF, I really don't see how they could make that 6 pieces. I can see 3 tops, left wing, right wing, center engine. Any more than that seems silly and like an issue for stability. What are they gonna pack the blades in with one character and the pistons with someone else and make the last guy have a stand? That's silly. If the glider is just the 3 common-sense pieces, are they really gonna make a THREE PIECE STAND? Unless the wings become 2 pieces each somehow and for some reason, it doesn't add up for me. I *think* the BAF is gonna be something else. Hopefully Lizard.

All that said, WHEN the glider is the BAF and is divided into center engine, back of left wing, front of left wing, back of right wing, front of right wing and pistons/articulation assembly w/ stand, just know, I am not a Hasbro employee and given the timelines that go into these things, they didn't get the idea from this post 😭 🤣

@garrettlcustoms Exactly what a clever Hasbro employee would say in this situation.

But yeah, I did the math and what I can sell the rest of the wave for still means I'm paying way more for a Build-A-Glider than would cost to get a 3-d printed fan made one elsewhere. So either way, I'm only getting Sandman and Norman.

@slixta I want the Glider as the BAF. This is one time it makes sense to me

yeah... if you want a sizeable glider, and goblin isn't deluxe... then this is the way you get that. because no way is norman coming with a scaled accurate glider on his own and not be a deluxe figure

Seriously, this thing is going to be broken up among six figures?

/revision/latest?cb=20220305223107

I'm having a really hard time seeing how people are looking at that glider as being bigger than Falcon's wings.  I mean it's taller than the wings, but less than half the width.

i'm assuming they're not talking width. falcons wings are wide, but pretty flat and thin... which was a big head scratcher as to why they were in the baf slot.

I'd be perfectly fine paying deluxe price for that. They're doing it for Dr Octopus and I'm ready for that. Large figures or figures with large or many accessories, yeah deluxe them.

i'd be fine with that too, and wish they were doing that, but it doesn't appear they are unfortunately. I think he made more sense to be deluxe than ock does even

@spideyboy1111 it's really not that big though if you're talking about scale.

He's in the wave and the BAF is going to be the glider, but I still think it's incredibly stupid and he should have been a deluxe.

Right, we've all accepted that but I agree it's stupid. I would have liked Dr. Octopus, Green Goblin, AND Sandman to be deluxe if the last one was larger. I'm fine with him being human sized but a larger one would have been cool. Then Electro and May in the wave with Lizard as the BAF. Yes I'm still in lala land about the wave.

Unique thought - what if all 3 Spideys DON'T come with a BAF piece? Spidey is their big seller, he doesn't need the pieces. They cost it out so they include masked and unmasked heads/extra hands (although can't remember if I read these would be unmasked only?).

In any case, 4 other figures for a BAF Glider would work out perfectly - wings and middle piece for 3 of the figures, flight stand and pumpkin bombs with Green Goblin just to be Hasbro at their wicked best.

@theghost Ha, that's not a bad thought either. They've always done BAF pieces with six of the figures, right? is there an exception yet? But that's not to say they definitely always will do it that way.

And I don't think there's anything definitive on what the Spideys are or include. Rek said unmasked, but it's not clear if they're ONLY unmasked, or include both, or if the bodies are even repacks from the set or what. That's just assumptions on our part, but feels like safe assumptions.

Lastly, I'll point out Rek was wrong at least once on the 2023 leaked list with the Infinity Saga wave when he listed Nick Fury among them but it was actually War Machine.

I’m curious how Hasbro will give us an Andrew Garfield sculpt since apparently no other manufacturer could. HT had to reuse their ASM2 head sculpt and had to market it that way… maybe Hasbro has an old sculpt of Andrew they are going to recycle as well.

They do from the first ASM, and maybe with faceprint it will look more like him. Or maybe it's a Quicksilver situation where it's close enough?

Everyone is trying to figure this Glider out meanwhile I'm hoping on a prayer that Aunt May is a surprise when they reveal these figures. I don't even care if she's a store exclusive. It would make my day for sure! I love getting characters you'd never expect.
