My boyfriend is the same way, God love him. We're both nerds but had very different upbringings; there's been so many times I've tried showing him movies I've loved through the years- some nerdy classics- and for a while there, it was snooze city. Always the same response too- I'll say "We don't have to keep watching", and he'll say "I'm watching, I'm watching", and fall right back asleep. 🤣Β  I'd bet good money he has some sort of sleep condition- he can fall asleep at the snap of a finger- anywhere, any time, any noise level, whereas if it ain't perfectly temperature controlled with as little noise as possible, I don't have a chance in hell at sleep. We're both 30, and I'm definitely the one that's more like an old man, so it's odd that he's the one who sleeps like one.

Anywho- back to figures. I don't know what's up with my apartment, but there must be some sort of portal somewhere. Had a few figures fall off the shelf recently, and whatever they're holding just completely disappears. I look under the couch, under shelves, in my cat's blankets (he's been known to steal some things), and nothing! The latest casualty is the Spell Box. MJ decided to recreate the scene in the movie and toppled off the shelf (and this time Andrew just watched), and now the Spell Box is nowhere to be seen. You'd think something like that would be easily finable- it's not too small, but alas- nothing. My only conclusion is that Dr. Strange needed it back.

@joshsquash729 I am actually like that where I can sleep any time and anywhere. If I'm a passenger in a car for more than ten minutes, I pass out. My first legitimate job was night stocking at toys r Us and one time I just needed a ten minute nap and propped myself just so on a ladder to recharge. It's just when I'm watching a movie, I get really intent. Even TV shows I can fall asleep on.

And that was hilarious about Andrew/MJ! But also sucks. All my figure shelves for marvel and Star wars are on the wall over my desk and the thing I lose behind my computer almost every time I move him is Cobb Vanth's Boba helmet. I gave up on having him hold it. On the marvel side, Iron Man 85 is hovering a few inches in front of the shelf and firing both hands and anytime I move someone near him I apparently will cause enough of a gust to knock a repulsor blast deep behind the monitors. I refuse to super glue and I used the last of my little clear rubber bands to keep Black Widow's guns in her hands. I miss when they'd include those in packaging to keep accessories in since I would use them to keep accessories in people's hands.

My target order got here. Tobey Spider-Man was in good shape despite the postal service's best efforts on demolishing that box. I haven't opened him yet as I'm not sure I'm keeping him. Looks great, fantastic likeness etc etc, but I just never liked the design.

Green Goblin is a fantastic figure. I agree he's a little tricky to get on the glider and stand. I initially used one of my stands I already had, clipped to his waist, but played with the included stand to find a way to make it work on my somewhat narrow shelves.

VERY happy to have Lizard, Sandman, Vulture, Mysterio, Green Goblin, and Venom all in a row with Andrew, Tom, and Miles Morales in various poses/swinging in front of them. I still have spots open for Doc Ock and Electro though.

Then all I really need is Hobgoblin, though I probably will get almost any villains they put in the live action movies anymore.

Received Goblin this evening, and it’s every bit as impressive as most people have made him out to be. Love the bulk of the armor, the size of the glider and how its wings pivot, the ankles stay surprisingly secure, as does the tiny bomb in his right hand. I want to display the amazing Dafoe likeness, but with the hood and without the goggles on. Not sure if he ever appeared that way. Seeing all of these figures now, filling out such a stellar cast, is so satisfying. I really loved this movie, and see it as the epilogue to Phase 3, peak MCU. And having these figures is a worthy reminder of a great movie.

I totally agree and it's really good to remember that. Seeing all my Spider-Man villains on the shelf together is making me happier than a lot of my collecting has lately, and like you said it really reminds me about a great movie.

He absolutely did in one of his biggest scenes in the movie.

Man he is such a goofball. I mean facial expressions, not the horrible destruction and murder.

Osborn seemed so much more psychotic and formidable in NWH. He was a THREAT. And that's what it seemed for everyone they reintroduced in this movie. That's what I love about NWH most. It's a love letter to those movies. It redeems the characters, gives closure to their arcs, without belittling them or selling them short. I think Tom as Peter/Spidey is perfection, but NWH made me appreciate the existence of the previous two incarnations so much more.Β

He's a weird looking dude.Β  He owns it too.Β  The weirdest I've seen him is in David Lynch's "Wild at Heart" where he and Lynch really pulled his freak flag as high up the pole as they could hoist it.Β  😬Β

Completely agree.Β  Dafoe is great, but Goblin was one of the weaker aspects of Raimi's 2002 Spider-Man, which overall is still in the top 30 of superhero films despite the mediocre Goblin design.Β  They improved the character DRAMATICALLY in No Way Home, both in terms of what they gave Dafoe to do as well as his overall appearance.Β  The new suit is a great blend of the classic costume from the comics as well as that original costume from Raimi's film.

Yeah, Dafoe is as iconic for Gobby as Ledger is for Joker. I know there's a big push for Dafoe to play Joker too, but he just kills it as Gobby- that'sΒ hisΒ role, and it's gonna be a tough job for any future actor to top it. Dafoe is like the classy Nicolas Cage and Jim Carrey to me- he certainly hams it up and has a deliciously elastic face, but manages to be a bit more high brow than them (though they both, especially Carrey, have gotten better with dramatic stuff in recent years). I love the Gobby mask, but I think the best thing NWH did in terms of villains was have Dafoe go maskless for most of the movie. They finally realized what they had and how much fans love it. The scene where he's just laughing his ass off while getting brutally punched by Spidey still gives me goosebumps.

That's why I couldn't bear to cover up any of the spectacular Dafoe sculpt for the Gobby figure. I have his hood off and goggles around his neck- they sit pretty loosely, but I like the look. Haven't seen many photos of just the hood on and the goggles around his neck, but depending on how it looks, I may switch to that eventually. I'd love to get a second figure eventually so he can wear his mask, but that Dafoe sculpt is a beauty!

Probably my favorite role of his too. They did something with his teeth also because he wasn't quite weird enough. He has some of the best lines too, though my most quoted one is Jack Nance. "My dog barks some..."

Definitely, it really works as a three-way sequel while never losing focus on its own plot. Really great script. And it also definitely made me appreciate the other two a lot more.
