I've also come to love the way Goblin attaches to his glider. At first it seemed flaky and difficult to use, but once you get the hang of those foot pads and the swivel they peg into on the glider you can get Goblin to stand in almost any kind of pose you want. Yea, he'd be easier to pose if he had a boot swivel, and that would also slightly increase the range of poses we can get, but the swivel up at the thigh is mostly good enough. I can get him into deep crouches, or I can have him standing up totally straight. You can also eventually get the glider wing swivels to be fully closed up or fully opened up however you want once you get the hang of seating his feet into the pads and pad swivel. I can pose him with his feet angled out towards the sides of the glider, or I can have them pointing straight forward. Lots of posing options with the way those pads attach and the swivel they attach to.
One key is it's MUCH easier to use the pads if you put him on his feet BEFORE you try mounting him on the glider. It's also easier if you mostly get the legs into the right pose before trying to attach the pads to the glider. The most frustrating approach is trying to attach his feet to the pads AND trying to get his legs in the right positions while he's already on the glider. Far easier to get the pads on and his legs at the right angle first.
@enigmaticclarity Thank you for these review updates on Goblin!! I just got mine tonight and I genuinely can not remember the last time I was this confused by a figure haha. I even tried looking for instructions. I tried pushing the stand into the glider and the skinny neck part started to bend so I assumed maybe it doesn't secure in there and just balances. But that would be insane and he'd fall every day! Then I came here and read your reviews and it helped so much! I'll have to keep playing with him on the Glider, it's still a bit of a struggle. I'm definitely taking your advice with putting the pads on him and then the glider. It's reassuring to see you got the hang of it!! Honestly, I kinda enjoy the "figuring it out" of it all because it forces me to spend a little more time with the figure than I normally would.

I almost broke the stand with Demogoblin several times. Eventually I figured out that if you twist slowly as you push it works its way in, and once you take it in and out a few times it's far easier from then on. I recommended heating the stand a few posts back, but I've never actually done that yet because twisting it in gently has been working fine for me. Worked perfectly with Goblin.
I got the Garfield Spidey today. Not counting Goblin or Doc Ock, that is the first time I've bought a full wave of ML in I don't know how long. It's a pricey endeavor, will be putting stuff up on ebay tomorrow to balance out cost.
Still, I'm happy with with the wave and the 3 Spideys most of all. If I had to rate the Spideys I'd put Andrew first, then Tom, then Tobey.Â
Andrew was the most needed for me. There's already a healthy dose of Tom Spideys out there and I still love my Toybiz Tobey from the first movie, but both the previous Garfield attempts were lacking, IMO. I really think they did right by the sculpt and the paint. The head is spot on (all of the unmasked heads are). Hasbro being Hasbro, they aren't going to give you the prefect figure, so since you get the head, they take away the hands they could have easily given you.Â
I love the sculpt on Tom and that "final suit" may well be my favorite of his half-dozen looks. He's the only one that includes all the hands he should have. The articulation isn't bad, but it's not as smooth as it should be.
Tobey is in about the same boat as the Tom articulation wise, I like the body sculpt just a little bit less. Again, great umasked head. Again, they could have given us all the hands, but they have to punish us three pack holdouts somehow..
I like this MJ better than the two pack one with the RBF. Tom Spidey needs a GF and it looks like the two pack one can fetch me some $$ on ebay. All she has to do is stand there. (I want to get another one to make a civilian Pink Ranger).
Sandman--glad they included the big hands otherwise this guy would be 75% less fun. He got the Hasbro bare minimum paint spritz......a full wash and dry brushing could really bring this to life.
Matt is still in the box. I might return him. He's fine, but I would only need him in a "street" Marvel display that I, for some reason, didn't want to include a DD in full costume. I imagine him looking really good next to my Netflix Luke Cage and Jessica Jones.....only my Luke Cage and Jessica Jones have been in boxes for years.
Overall fun wave.
It'd be cool if they put that Matt out with an alt head.

I'd take a pre-Disney bloody head like the one they used the the Netflix promos. Yeah.....now that I think of it, that would have been pretty sweet. Man I wish that I could rewatch that show.

Why can't you?

Yeah, getting the stand to pop in was a bit of a pain. I know there's a variety of ways to do it that are probably smarter than mine, but I just grasped the stand by the little ball to support it, and pushed into the hole while twisting (insert Giggedy and various innuendos here). It's a bit of a kooky stand as-is, being lopsided and all, but I dig it. Gives it a more dynamic feel.
Can't remember which, but I'd seen in a YouTube review the trick about pegging in the feet to the clamps and then putting them on the glider, and even though I didn't try it any other way, I can tell that's definitely the way to do it. Instructions would've been nice, but I can't remember the last time a Hasbro figure came with instructions. Actually, I take that back- the Gelatinous Cube from the D&D line came with instructions, but it did absolutely zero to help. 😆 I guess Hasbro just gives us too much credit sometimes.

@joshsquash729 Is it bad that I was already thinking of all the innuendos before I even got to your remark on it haha. But yea, now that I've played with the stand some I can easily pop any 3 of the balls up in there with ease. (There really is no way for a dirty minded individual to talk about this stand without atleast giggle is there haha)
Anyways, I'm not gonna call this a "pro-tip" or anything but I could not get Murdock's hand to hold that brick at all. So I actually attached Sandman's regular size hand and it holds it perfectly! With the angle I've got Murdock on the shelf you'd have no idea about the sandy hand. All you can see are the finger tips and they're mostly skin color. Idk if anyone needed this advice but there ya go lol.Â
I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt Fwoosh has been gettin' a bit steamy lately...
Got my Tom figure just now. Favorite Spidey figure in terms of overall look, but yeah the hips and the shoulders suck. I didn't test them too much cause I do think they're too stiff and will break. Prob could heat em up, but I got a pose I am happy with that didn't require testing those joints. So I will keep him like this. But wonder what happend here to make this a major issue with so many samples

The recent Magneto roleplay helmet didn't come with instructions, and it came with five foam pads with sticky glue on one side to be placed inside the helmet. I watched pretty much every Youtube review of the helmet, and NOBODY knew where to stick those things except one guy who figured it out. Half of them ignored the foam entirely, the other half just openly admitted they had no guess were to put most of the foam padding.
That was a pretty egregious skipping of instructions. It's bad enough that they didn't put the foam on at the factory, but to then expect us to figure out exactly where it was supposed to go was over the top.
After the No Way Home figures showed up on the Target site I saw all three of the Spideys in every store locally and available for shipping. I still see Tom and Tobey at all of my local stores and still available for shipping, but Andrew supposedly sold out at every local store and online for shipping. He disappeared online the same day they listed him later that night.
There's no way I believe that's right. Andrew really sold out everywhere, but the other two didn't? So he's the most popular of the three by leaps and bounds? 🙄 I'm far more apt to believe that this is Target's millionth inventory screw-up of the year than that Andrew outsold the other two by that much within hours of being listed.

Andrew disappeared from all of my stores within a day as well. Yesterday he was around, today he is gone.
