I feel like Hasbro would really benefit from a tri-monthly Cinema premium collectors style line. I'd pay an extra 5 bucks for characters from across all live action Marvel properties before, adjacent, and proper MCU with plenty of accessories. Sony, Fox, Netflix, Universal, etc. That's 4 waves a year, 28 figures, no need for a BAF if you make some of those Deluxe when needed. This of course runs alongside the already exsisting movie and disney plus waves the proper mcu character slots could go to filling past gaps, new attires, and upgrades/re-dos. While the rest of the slots go to the non MCU projects from the past as well as the current Sony Marvel live action Spidey Universe.
I know the legal nightmare would be the main reason this idea would never work but it'd sure be awesome to see and it feels like the perfect time with the MCU exploring the multiverse and nostalgia selling like hot cakes.
Also, this kinda kills all the birds with one stone! This one line could correct inaccurate figures based on concept art, fill holes with missing characters, give collectors the accessories we need if we so choose, and fulfill our childhood dreams by giving us figures of characters from our pasts.
One more note lol,

I'm sure y'all could come up with plenty of waves even better than these. The options are limitless!
I was going to respond with Thor's excitement at seeing Hulk in Ragnarok, but it doesn't come close to how I feel about that idea. Simply put, I love it. Particularly how chaotic it is. You didn't even try to have it make sense of follow themes and I think that is perfect. It makes it so easy when you just throw waves together. Shifting release schedules can never hurt this concept.
I would want Topher Venom and a lot of past guys. I am at least hoping for a Tobey repaint in black.
Thank you. And yes, exactly. There's lawlessness to it that I like and I'd think the Hasbro team could really have fun with it. Plus that insures there is something on the store shelf for everyone.
One thing I noticed is how light it is on Iron Man. You know hasbro is gonna wanna Iron Man those waves up and I believe @akatsuki would like it as well.
I keep looking at your waves and wanting to keep it going but I am just incapable of replicating that style. I NEED structure, so I don't think i can even try to hijack that idea. I keep needing to do something like this:
- already done MCU hero with new costume (Cap First Avenger or an Iron Legion suit not yet produced)
- MCU villain
- Sony, Fox, or Netflix etc villain
- Sony, Fox, or Netflix etc hero
- Disney Plus character not yet made
- repaint or kitbash
- off the wall inclusion (like 80s Howard The Duck or the like)
But that really doesn't follow the chaotic nature of the original list, which I genuinely appreciate.
I think that's a great idea too tho, giving it a formula type approach manages expectations to a degree. If you guaranteed me atleast one villian from each MCU film during the projects initial line release I'd be over the moon knowing that I'm always gonna get a High Evolutionary, Abomination, Titania, Dar-Ben etc.
Honestly I just wish it would happen regardless of how organized or chaotic the wave would be.
And it was super fun to create those waves, I could keep going. I think the chaos is just a product of my brain lol.
BTW, if I get my business attire Pepper after all these years then they can put as much Iron Man as they like haha.
You should start a new thread for this and just go. To. Town.
Joshuakat's Crazy Mixed Movie Waves of Chaos.
Haha I might have to give it a shot!
To get back to the topic, I just received Sandman. He's such a barebones figure yet somehow he is just super fun to play around with. I've been fiddling with him for a while now haha. For being made of sand they really did a great job on his likeness. I'm still nicknaming him McNuggie tho haha.
Nice. And do not feel like you have to use that title, it was a joke.
And that is awesome, that's really the most I would hope for from a Sandman figure.
The Sandman figure does get me oddly hungry to look at. He's definitely more "chickie nuggie" from certain angles than "sandy boi". Let's hope once I have him I don't bite into him in a moment of weakness. Anything is possible these days.....
Not to derail the thread again, but I would 100% be in for some sort of collector subscription thing, ala the old Mattel DC Universe/Watchmen line. One figure a month or so that they don't think could sell at retail, or need special parts. One deluxe figure a quarter or so. Ooooh, baby, the possibilities!
Great. Now I want to eat him too. Thanks.
None of the statuses have changed for my other figs yet, but the Sandman I was due to get today is now coming Friday supposedly. We will see I guess
