Well I'll be damned. Hasbro did us good with that Gobby. Shocked at the removable goggles and floored at them including the masked head. Definitely getting one and really happy to get the glider in one go. Also happy to see it's articulated, that's gonna make it so much more fun. Seems like a very playable figure!
One thing to note, the tease of Ock's tentacle also came with a shot of The Box which at the time. I assumed was teasing it as a Goblin accessory. I dunno why but among the Fearsome Five, I think of The Box and Goblin being the closest to companion pieces. Maybe cuz he nukes it at the end? Anyway, now I assume either the list is more wrong than we thought and there's another Strange in there (please, God no, if I have to endure one more hobo-robes Strange, Imma die) or... OK, I had just written a whole thing about The Box and what it could mean and the possibility of Ock being in the wave cuz the tentacles were the Stark ones and Hasbro could justify Build A Tentacles if they were both sets before my dumbass finally realized it's a hint for MJ... it's gonna come with MJ. Because duh. Sometimes my brain just *refuses* to fire on all cylinders.
Also, I was looking at some reference shots and that Ock tease again and the promo art for him in NWH actually shows him with an amalgam design of the tentacles. They have the Raimi claws but with the nanobot details on the tentacles themselves, just in grey instead of red, and no gold details like the Raimi design. Given that the Goblin pulls from the same promo art set, I'm guessing Otto is gonna resemble that instead on an either or situation.
Anyway, really glad the wave is back in a state of flux, it kinda sucked "knowing" what was in it and being stuck waiting to see what it all looks like. Now there are surprises in store! Hoping the list now looks more like:

Sandman I feel SHOULD go in MJ's spot but given my revelation about The Box, I can't see her not being in the wave unless it comes with one of the Peters and if that's the case, it would make the most sense to be with an Upgraded Suit or Integrated Suit and I never wanna see those two again lol. We NEED that Final Swing, no exceptions. As much as I love the idea of a Matt Murdock... I would kinda be OK with him getting cut for Sandman to have a spot. I'm sure there will be other chances at a Matt and let's be real, it's gonna be a new head on a suited body. We can do that shit at home. I'll wait for some other Daredevil with an unmasked head that we get if Born Again ever comes out or if they do Netflix S2+ (with the better helmet and new gloves) or She-Hulk versions and just slap that on a grey suited body. Good enough and no doubt, *exactly* what we would have gotten here.
Though I do still wonder if Electro is ever gonna happen and if that spot will go to Flint after all. I have a weird feeling there was some issue with the likeness given the last time we had a Foxxlectro in the line, they CLEARLY didn't have the rights. Maybe he's become more open to it since then but I assume the fee is just too much since, to my knowledge, the only licensed toy likenesses of Jamie Foxx in existence are from Hot Toys so maybe we can get a gloriously textured new Sandman body in that spot instead? Plus, a pinless sandy body? Hasbro could manage at least ONE extra use for that in the future, no doubt.

That would be crazy but would jibe with the leak list at least. If this deluxe Norman is an exclusive it would make even more sense.

Still choosing not to get my hopes up too much for this wave. Don't get me wrong- I'll be getting every figure they release (maybe even 2 if that Gobby proves to be true- one masked and one unmasked). It's going to be a VERY expensive wave for me, methinks, but I'm prepared to spend the money. Been waiting for years for this one, and hopefully they've taken the time to really do the wave with a bang. I feel like (perhaps wishful thinking, but hopefully true) they could've rushed the wave out- likenesses and approvals and all that aside- but hopefully they took their time to make sure we got all the essential characters. Maybe the popularity of the movie helped them either get a bigger budget for the wave or whatever.
That said, part of me still feels like there'll be some bittersweetness to the wave. Whether it's a missing character, or a store exclusive, or whatever. I hope and pray that I'm wrong. I'd love it if initial reports were proven wrong and we got all 5 villains and then some. But until the wave is shown off and details spilled, I don't wanna get my hopes up too much.
Still, it's super difficult not to be excited for the wave. The movie was such wish fulfillment, and I'm cautiously optimistic that the wave will be too. The deets can't get here soon enough, far as I'm concerned!

If Ock is the BAF, I wonder how they'd handle it- if it was his regular Raimi arms- the silver/gold ones, or the Stark Nanotech arms with the red? Or both? More than likely just the Stark arms, but I'd be happy with either.

For them to re-package figures would be a logistical cost at multiple levels accompanied by a risk that some retailers won't update their listings with the updated info. Target is a prime example of this--they've screwed up lots of normal listings this year, so the odds of them screwing up a listing update are high.
Whatever the wave ends up being is far more likely to be close to what someone found in retailer's inventory data, i.e. there is a Doc Ock deluxe, and somehow Osborne is in the wave.

Just recently that leaked list has Fury in the Infinity Saga wave, but it turned out to be War Machine. So a figure being wrong apparently happens. I can't see them doing 2 Norman figures here, cause the wave one would either be a less good version of the deluxe which I don't think they'd sell at same time, or it would be hobo Norman. I highly doubt Hobo Norman is a figure lol

Sometimes listings have indefinite names, and sometimes they have specific ones. Knowing what the exact leak is helps. Usually Rektangular will only definitively say what a figure is if it's clearly in the item description, and if it isn't but he has a good idea who the figure will be he'll say specifically why he thinks that. Some other leakers also make those distinctions, and some other leakers don't split those hairs and we can't be sure why they think what they say.
I'll Google a bit for the source of the Infinity Saga and No Way Home waves. Pretty sure that was specified in the old forum, but that's gone now. I see that someone named kSteel is mentioned in the original post of this thread--anyone know who that is?
