Why are these $28?
Moon Knight is coming up as 24.99 when I look it up. Spidey is 27.99, which is what he cost the first time around as part of that anniversary sub-line.

OK, I was only looking at Spidey on the Target website.Β So I guess my question now is:Β Β
Why is Spider-Man $28?
Β
Like I said, it's what he cost the first time around, comes with all of the same accessories, which is a bunch of hands, web wings, web line. I guess they didn't see fit to discount him a year after his initial release? I imagine it's the extras that push it up $3, like it did for Black Widow.Β
Β
If you want painted weblines, Spidey is a deluxe.
🙄
It's that extra blue paint for the spider on his back.
Got this Spidey yesterday (I know he's overpriced, I don't know why I bought him, I just have no willpower, I like the blue spider on his back, I'm ridiculous) but I just realized - is this the first Spidey we've had who can actually GRIP the web line he comes with? I don't remember ever having a Spidey with gripping hands, just fists, splayed fingers, or fwipping hands. Am I losing my mind or is this a new thing? (In which case this gives some useful options for a few other Spider-Men whose web lines match up on the gloves...)Β

Aside from the blue spider on his back, this is the exact same figure that was released in the 60th anniversary line, the Amazing Fantasy figure. It also came with gripping hands for web lines.
Β
I was wondering if there was a conversation for these figures. I didn't know about them but I saw the Spider-Man figure at Target yesterday. I was tempted to get the retro card figure but I already have it from the 60th anniversary line.Β
Spidey arrived yesterday. Don't even care, I love this release.
I'm a sucker for the retro cardbacks and I dug the AF15 figure the first time around.
My Moon Knight is backordered. Love that this happens with every single Target preorder. I'm sure I'll have much better luck just walking into a Target store, as always...

It's the first one I've seen.Β This is a pic below I took of the best Legends of 2022, and I had Spidey hanging in his classic upside-down pose using those grip hands and the included web line for most of 2023.Β They're lower priority than thwip, wall-crawling, and fist hands, but they're really nice to have.
Mania and Space Knight Venom arrived and I promptly stabbed myself on Mania's spikes. Does it cost money to make an existing buck pinless? Because they did with the teen girl body and I really just want this buck retired - it has the worst diaphragm ROM. She's simple, and I like her newly sculpted extremities. Venom is going straight to Ebay like his predecessor.
Found MK at B&M so I canceled the preorder thatβs been delayed twice already. I also did some swaps from this figure (lower arms and lower legs and head/cape) onto a Hatut Zeraze body to beef up MK. I took one of his moon blade things and glued it to his chest. After all that, I donβt think the swaps make that much difference in his build.
Got Space Venom and Mania yesterday.Β One of Mania's arms pulls right off at the shoulder; the other one is tighter.Β It plugs back in easily and is fairly trivial to work around so I'm not too upset.
I've also seen several pics of Mania's arm pulling off on Reddit, too.Β Same thing happen to anyone else?
Moon Knight has a circle of gray shading around the logo that looks good in bright light but is a bit much under normal conditions.Β The same color shading around the eyes on the white mask looks pretty good though.Β
There's some on the under sides of the hoods as well that I can't remember if it was on the Walgreens one or not.
