I’m on board for each of these. I love retro card releases, so that’s a purchase for that. I stockpiled AF15 Spidey, so I’d get one to have loose with the blue spider. I’ve also picked up a couple Hatut Zeraze for fodder, specifically to upgrade MK to a bigger body, but I wasn’t thrilled about cannibalizing a tough to find exclusive, so this one will go towards that project.
On what panel in which issue was Spider-Man's spider miscolored blue? I'm guessing it must have happened at some time.
It's not a miscolor, it's the original color, as seen throughout AF#15. I don't remember if it already changed by the time ASM#1 came out, or if it changed at some point during that title.

Thanks, been a while since I read AF 15.
Funny, giving him the blue spider from AF 15 seems like something they should have done the first time around when he was billed as a dedicated AF 15 version of Spider-Man packaged in a box with the big, bold AMAZING FANTASY title barely one year ago. I'm sure it was an honest oversight.
If they'd released the blue spider first they would have had a chorus of complaints about not releasing the most wanted version first and "forcing" people to buy it. I think they made the right call.
But last year's AF 15 figure is technically inaccurate, am I right? Ditko's Spider-Man costume was red and black (with blue back spider) for AF 15, then they made it red and blue (with red back spider) from ASM #1 on. Was there a time we saw a Ditko red and black spidey suit with red back spider in the comics as was depicted by Hasbro's figure last year?
This is all just me trying to educate myself, I'm curious. I didn't know about blue back spider until this figure came along.
Glad I waited for this Moon Knight, I've been going back and forth on getting the black suit version. But this is the MK I want. Hope he'll be as easy to find as their other exclusives have been.
You're right. That's always been my understanding, at least. Plus this figure can be used as part of a Spider-Verse display if people want, since Dan Slott has said that the "Peter Palmer" variant of Spider-Man is based on a few inconsistencies from his first appearance, like the name "Palmer" being used by mistake, and the back spider being blue. So there's certainly a space for it in the collection.
TLDR: There's a Spider-Verse variant of Spider-Man who goes by the name Peter Palmer, and he wears this costume. So it works in multiple displays.

There's a flashback to the events of AF15 in the very first issue of Amazing Spider-Man that depicts a red and black Spider-Man with a red back spider.
You could certainly argue that Spider-Man throughout the whole issue is supposed to be red and black, but the blue shading is a lot heavier than it was in AF15
Also worth noting:
In Amazing Fantasy 15 itself, you can see the back spider was miscolored red in the last panel here. So the previous figure can get by as being accurate on technicality.
So, the whole Fall Geek Out event thing. Are these going to be figures you can only buy online? or will they also be available at physical Target locations in November? I kind of want the Spider-Man figure, but I'm not sure I want him badly enough to deal with Target's online store BS, lol.
These are up now if anyone is interested. I went ahead and snagged Moon Knight. Not the perfect representation of the character, but it's one I missed out on previously.

I'm such a sucker that this is almost enough to convince me to get it. I've already got too many Spider-folks for a Spider-Verse display, I really don't need to justify adding more!
I really like the blue spider on the back. That might be enough to sell me.
I was able to get this Moon Knight the first time around and it just occurred to me I had an extra I got for a friend who never picked it up and... maybe should've sold it. Still in the box. Wonder if he'd be good custom fodder since I imagine this Target one means there's almost no value to having the Walgreens one anymore. (Didn't hang onto it to resell, just forgot he was in storage til just now.)
Ordered two of each, one to keep carded, one to open. MK will be parts will be swapped onto a larger body (Hatut Zeraze or Zero) and one more Spidey for the "one of every suit" collection.
Spidey looks good except for the oversized belt print. And MK just looks so corny to me on the sunfire buck + no shading at all.

Let's not forget that the "blue" portions of his costume frequently printed a light purple in the Ditko era. No way to know if that was deliberate or printer error, but I always liked it and would be happy to have a figure in that colorway.

Yea, I'm waiting for an updated Moon Knight on the Vulcan body and pinless. If Deadpool can get one so soon, there's a chance MK might too
My Target has both of these figures in the backroom. I'm unsure if they are register locked though.
Why are these $28?
