When it comes to Cap's shield, I actually have a different take. I'm actually thankful for the Legends team trying to give us something different. I likely have somewhere between 40-50 different "regular" cap shields sitting in my bin unused from the past 20+ years so I'm thankful for something a little different. From the sounds of it maybe I should try listing a few on these on ebay if people really don't have any "regular" versions. That almost sounds crazy to me....
I just think it's odd that people are supposed to borrow from old figures to make a new one complete. Especially when it's a signature weapon. And if any argument is to be made about getting A-listers out there for new collectors is made, it's doubly odd the figures are relying on parts from old figures. Instead of a pair of saluting hands, I think a full shield would have been a better accessory to include. And it's just a super odd decision given the last classic Cap had a shield with holes in it.
I did notice the center stripe on Cap is white and not red. Which matches the vintage Secret Wars figure and not comics. Small detail, which makes skipping this Cap even easier.
There's no "standard" for what color every Captain America figure should be that they should be following. They're basing it on source art, so Alex Ross Cap is dark blue, 20th anniversary Cap was trying to be close to ML series 1, and Secret Wars Cap is based on Secret Wars. Same with Hulk, Wolverine, Iron Man, and any other character. They *could* make every single version the exact shade, but everyone has their own idea of what the right color is, and we'd be locked into a single hue for characters that get made over and over. I prefer the variety in looks over uniformity.
That’s not entirely true. I worked as a graphic artist for a sportswear company that had several licenses, including Marvel. Marvel issued a master catalog to the company, in which the specific colors and shades for characters were designated. Because the company was using their property, they had to use those specific colors. I tend to think it has more to do with variations and impurities in the paint mixtures, being too difficult to keep things exact. This was before Disney’s purchase of Marvel. It’s possible things have changed, but then Disney is very particular about their own characters. And of course we all know of Hasbro’s “close enough” policy.
What was up with the gray Hulk figure appearance at 2:33:20 mark? The offstage assistant handed it to Ryan after Dr. Doom and Monica, then Ryan put it under the table, never to be seen again. Is this a hint at something to come in 2025? Is there a Hulk anniversary in 2025? Was it a joke by their offstage assistant?
I noticed that, too, but it was pulled out the same time as last year's Avengers product and it matches that figure so I think it was just unnecessary.

I think the fact that Disney/Marvel issues specific guidance for some licensed products is all the more reason to think the varying colors are deliberate rather than a mistake. If the license holder wanted the figures to look a certain way you can be damn sure Hasbro would get there, but ML makes various versions of characters that have been drawn dozens of ways over the years. I'm sure they could match paint across figures if they needed to, but the point isn't to have one cohesive look for every Wolverine or Spidey they make - they're covering 60+ years of comic history, and the different figures reflect that wide variety of art styles.
I'm just happy we're finally getting X-Force Nightcrawler. With that and the upcoming Archangel and Thunderbird on the leaks, we should have the entire Uncanny X-Force roster now (assuming they don't do E.V.A. as well).
That's such a hard "team" to complete on the shelf. E.V.A., Deathlok, and Angel were hardly on it at all. I don't think Angel overlapped with Nightcrawler or the aforementioned three at all.
When I had the team on display, I just used Wolvie, Psylocke, Deadpool, and Fantomex. That covered most of the run.
I could use the new Kang but I just can't play Hasbro's price game on him. I hate that they put their customers in this position - especially "loyal" ones who have already paid extra to buy items. It's nothing new, just... blah.

Psylocke should try to be less obvious. Openly staring at Wolvie’s crotch like that.
My PulseCon Kang and Battle Droid with STAP shipped, along with the Animated Spidey/Vulture set.
Only Kang shipped for me. I'm guessing the Animated Vulture/Spidey set will be Monday.

IMO, The old shields are just too small thanks to the size creep that's happened over the past 20 years.
@tfitz Think they were too small even without the size creep
It looks like the blues will be a bit different. From reddit:
So, I guess I didn't pay enough attention Friday. The stripes are "wrong", IMO. the red stripe should always be in the middle. I'm not usually a stickler for details on Legends, but this stripe thing has always been like nails on a chalkboard to me and is probably going to get me to cancel my PO. Maybe it's just me?
Apparently they did it to match the original figure:
