It's worth noting that Dan the sculpt manager in the video I posted above said that the way they will implement the wings was still under construction and might change by the time they're ready to put him up for pre-order. Hopefully they end up with more articulation than was visible on the prototype because I agree that the wings should have at least as many points of articulation as Angel does.
We’re enjoying a return of bendy wires again after that horrific Lizard baf was ruined by his ugly jointed tail section, as well as soft goods capes, and a range of articulation solutions should be preserved and increased where there’s scope for it rather than lost in favour of swappable pre-posed parts which is more the province of high end statues and maquettes
There's another option for tails that I've only seen in Mattel's Jurassic World Hammond Collection figures--ball segments wrapped in an exterior soft plastic skin. They've used it on both their brachiosaurus and giganotosaurus figures--the brach has segments in his neck and the giga has them in his tail--and I have both figures and generally like that articulation method and would like to see other lines such as Legends use for something like a Dragon Man, although obviously we now know from Dan we won't be seeing that with this version of the character.
You can't see the ball joints with that design, but it's fairly intuitive to use them in hand. Here's a pic from Mattel for how the ball joints in their brachiosaurus neck connect and what range of motion each segment gets under the skin that's over them. It doesn't get a better articulation range than a bendy-wire, but overall I enjoy them more because they're MUCH easier to work with. Bendy wire has two issues--one is that the wire weakens over time and eventually breaks, but the more constant issue is that it tends to bend back too easily unless you press REALLY hard. Carnage's tendrils are pretty hard to pose, although it's certainly do-able. I still rank that as the best Legends figure of the year so far, but I find the tendrils far more frustrating than those on the Figuarts movie Carnage figure that has ball-jointed tendrils. Mattel's segment ball joints layered under soft plastic are far easier to articulate than a bendy wire.
Oh a segmented design is definitely preferred if I have the option, but it’s seeing them go with bendy wires in figures like Doc Ock and Carnage which make me think they’d not do a segmented approach in Legends. I think they would just not want to do the additional tooling for moving parts which really frustrates me as if they were smart about it and made a tapered textured tail about 10 inches long and in about 8 segmented parts, then 8 of them could combine with a central eyeball/body piece to make a Shuma Gorath baf.
I like how they have 2 sets of wings. Good way to go about the design.
Had to download the app to order it because the website wasn’t letting me add a phone number. Got an order confirmation email but it doesn’t appear in purchase history. Weird

You have to click on the drop-down menu and select US (If you are in fact in the US). Took me several attempts to figure that out.
Not a Pulse member anymore but the site didn't charge shipping for Dragon Man, so that was cool.
I was originally going to pass on this because I thought it was going to be at least $150 or more. But for $85 I went and ahead and pulled the trigger. Especially since it won't ship until August of next year. So why not?
What is this "we're sorry, your order couldn't be placed" nonsense?
I'm very pleasantly surprised that Dragon Man is coming in at this price - I was expecting $100 minimum. Instant order.
For anyone wondering (like I was) this appears to work like a regular ol' preorder - no payment due now, and will charge when the order is preparing to ship - ETA August 15, 2025.

Ditto. Excited to get this guy in hand next year.
Hell yeah - pre-order done and I can't wait to have Dragon Man on my shelf. A real one and not the poor wingless factory leftover I got back in the day.
Also, have to totally agree on the pleasant surprise of the price. I definitely thought it was going to come in at $100+. Also love that the total was just north of Pulse's new free shipping total, so I didn't have to pay that extra $6 as a non-pulse member.

That was my fault. I had the month wrong in the CC expiration date. That message is apparently for any kind of problem, not just high site traffic.
Love that they are often sculpting the lines of the shorts on the top of the leg portions as often as not these days. They need to do that more; it should be standard. Enough with the banana hammock look.

That dumb phone number stuff again. Thought I'd already taken care of that once.
