I'll never understand why you respond to folks opinions and try to tell them they're wrong.  People are entitled to their tastes.  Xavier, Jean and Psylocke don't have the same power sets and have their own unique histories and backgrounds and actual compelling stories surrounding them as characters.

Your ability to strawman other people's opinions and extrapolate it out into something they didn't say genuinely sets you apart.  I genuinely don't understand your need to respond to opinion-based questions; "would you personally like this character as a figure," and bloviate and try to debate it; much less make prescriptions on what others should do.  Being aggressive to folks whose opinions you don't share and defaulting back on the same tired trope of "go read your old comics," comes across as though you can't handle difference of opinion well in your world.  You may not begrudge writers certain liberties, but you certainly begrudge others their ability to state that they simply don't like a character.  It really comes across as presumptuous and sanctimonious.  Maybe you should sit and spend time with your own opinions instead of trying to correct others for having one about derivative characters, a complaint that isn't unreasonable.

You really come across as some sort of aspiring scold most of the time.  I don't understand the aggression to other people's opinions on an opinion based thread.

So, I am sorry you were offended by having your opinion that you posted publicly on a discussion board examined and commented on.    You are of course entitled to your opinion -  everyone is -  but being entitled to your opinion doesn't mean that it is sacrosanct and immune from being discussed or examined when you state it publically on a discussion board.     I never said you weren't allowed to not like Oye... in fact the only time I directly referred to your opinion at all was in my last sentence where I said you had years worth of Iceman stories you could still enjoy and let others enjoy the new character.    I never said you weren't allowed to dislike her or that your opinion was wrong.

Additionally,  you expressed specific reasons you didn't enjoy the character and I addressed those specific reasons as I saw them.    Your opinion is "I don't like Oye" -  cool,  there's actually nothing to discuss or debate about that.    But when you say -  her powerset is derivative and duplicative,  well then there are things to examine there.   You listed multiple reasons you didn't like the character and - in my mind - those reasons didn't make a ton of sense in terms of the overall comic book milieu.

And it's hilarious that your interpretation of my post is that I can't handle difference of opinion.   You expressed that you wished an entire character didn't exist because you prefer stories about other characters.   I posted my opinion about that stated position.   You are the one posting a personal attack on me over the issue -  I never insulted or criticized you in any way.

If opinions can only be expressed and not commented on, disagreed with or examined then this discussion forum becomes frightfully boring and stagnant with very little room for conversation.    But hey - clearly you don't like me in general judging by the generalization that "aggression to other opinions" is all I contribute.   Pretty sure there's still a block feature here if my posts bother you that significantly.

Sorry everybody else - carry on with the discussion about all the characters we don't yet have in Legends - some of which we need (in my opinion) and others of which I'd be happy to skip.

I like the Blackwood look.  I'd probably pick that up.  The rest are a pass.

Probably for Dakota North in her Black Widow lite look,  or if they dared do the big shoulder pads leather outfit, I'd for sure be in on that.

Defender and Rusty are way, way, way down the list of golden age heroes I'd like to see in Legends,  but I don't think I can say if they did get made I'd skip them.

Yes to a classic Dakota North.  She should’ve been in the Legendary Riders line.

Defender and Rusty (what a code name) would probably be purchased if they were made, but there’s other golden age characters I want first.

Huh, I really thought any and all US flag colours were an easy yes for me, but now I know different.   I would probably be a yes for Defender on sale/clearance, but not full price.

Dakota North can't seem to figure out what her look should be.  Black Widow lite, 80s weak Typhoid Mary or modern Jessica Jones.  No matter the look I am a pass.

Absolutely this!  I actually enjoyed reading Dakota North back in the day.

Pass on Defender and Rusty.

Big, big yes on Dakota North, and I want a jacket with giant shoulder pads. As big as you can make 'em.

(This reminds me, where's our 80s Typhoid Mary?)

It's a yes and a yes today for me.

I always liked the Cardinal design and think that figure would look slick on the shelf.   I would pick up that figure in a heartbeat.

Slapstick is actually not a character I've ever cared a ton about.   But I do recognize his involvement in Marvel comics over the years and certainly would be an interesting addition to the collection.    Although that last image looks a little more like Pennywise from "IT" than I was expecting...
